Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the Ideology in Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s Short story “The Yellow Wallpaper “by using genetic structuralism approach. This research used descriptive method. The primary data is Charlotte Perkin Gilman’s work or short story “The Yellow Wallpaper” published and printed in 1995 by Penguin books. The secondary data is reference, which has relation to do the topic of the research. Then, the data is collected and analyzed by using genetic structuralism approach which is focus of the analysis of intrinsic and extrinsic aspect. Extrinsic aspect involves Gilman’s biography as well as social contexts as reference to constitute certain ideology adopted by Gilman and Intrinsic aspect focused on plot, character and setting of “the yellow wallpaper.” The result shows that the homologous of Gilman’s ideology and “The Yellow wallpaper” is related to feminist ideology. Her social and personality background revealed that she is a feminist activist. Gilman propose how the women tries to free from patriarchy system is by using rational imagination. The main character of “The Yellow Wallpaper” is a woman; a new mother who suffer from post-partum depression. She is able to see that most of women are hide behind the domestic pattern. The result shows that a woman who got an oppression and subordination by patriarchy system tends to have mental disorder and depression.

Abstract

This research aimed to explain about hot the news was constructed by reporter and also how media institution ideology and the narration an issue spread to public affect to the characteristic of certain news. The object of the research was five news about Formula E posted by online news portal, VOI where the tittles were: “A Condition That Must Be Fulfilled By Formula E If You Want To Get Support From PDIP,” “Sahroni Sindir No BUMN Sponsors Formula E: Sorry, BUMN Is Part Of The Republic Of Indonesia, Right?,” “Erick Thohir Reluctant to Comment on BUMN Not Sponsoring Formula E, Arya Sinulingga Gives Comprehensive Explanation,“ “Anies Baswedan: Formula E Has No Handlers!,” and ”Formula E Tickets Sold Out Ahmad Sahroni, Denny Siregar: There Must Be Saved Faces to be Nominated In 2024.” This research used critical discourse analysis in analyzing the texts through using Van Dijk’s theory. Van Dijk’s model focused on the text, social cognition and social context analysis. The result revealed that most of VOI news about Formula E is presented in political perspective and in presenting the news about Formula E, despite of had dynamic characteristic in particular perspective either the central government who represented by BUMN or Formula E committee and Anies Baswedan as Governor of DKI Jakarta, but VOI tend to bias in presenting particular person and group.

Abstract

As we know, information and communication technology are developing rapidly in this era. This ever-evolving and improving technology has led to increased learning and innovation opportunities associated with newer information and communication technology systems. Along with the development of this technology, improving the quality of human resources is also needed, so that the world of education needs to take steps to innovate learning methods. Therefore, the English Tadris Study Program proposes a learning method through the concept of cybergogy as an involved online learning system. Cybergogy is a learning innovation based on information and communication technology with three interrelated factors, namely: cognitive, emotional, and social. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the concept and implementation of cyberphony in learning phonology. The method used in this research is a literature study. Data collection techniques include searching for data in books, journals, and the web (internet) with data analysis using the theory of Miles and Huberman. The results and discussion of this study on phonology can be applied to the learning process with the cybergogy method. Learning phonology through the concept of cybergogy can be easily understood because phonology studies sound, and this learning is very compatible with the concept of cybergogy, which is learning with native speakers through online media.

Abstract

Penambang rakyat mula-mula menggunakan merkuri untuk mengekstrak emas dari padatan, tetapi persen perolehan emas dengan cara ini rendah yaitu sekitar 40%, Sehingga dikembangkan suatu metode ekstraksi emas dengan menggunakan sianida. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui rasio dosis sianida dan oksigen serta mengetahui waktu yang baik untuk proses pelindian agar memperoleh emas yang baik. Biji emas di haluskan sampai 32 microw, kemudian masing- masing botol dengan konsentrasi sianida 450 ppm, 500 ppm, 550 ppm dan 600 ppm dengan oksigen 15 ppm akan ditambahkan larutan sianida sebanyak 10 %, PbNO3 dengan konsentrasi 200 ppm sebanyak 0,15 ml kemudian di leaching sampai ke 48 jam. Setelah itu difilter vakum sampai solid dan solution terpisah kemudian di analisa dengan menggunakan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). Begitu juga konsentarsi oksigen 4 ppm, 10 ppm, 15 ppm dengan konsentrasi sianida 500 ppm dilakukan dengan perlakuan yang sama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi sianida terbaik adalah 600 ppm dengan konsentrasi oksigen 15 ppm memperoleh recovery emas 95 % pada waktu ke 32 jam sedangkan konsentrasi oksigen 4 ppm, 10 ppm dan 15 ppm dengan konsentrasi sianida 500 ppm memperoleh recovery emas 97 % pada waktu ke 32 jam.

Abstract

This study explores the development of Baldwin's racial and homosexual identity in his novel Go Tell it on the Mountain. It examines how Baldwin's experiences as both a homosexual and an African American shaped his identity and his efforts to engage with society. Baldwin’s awareness of racism and homophobia in America positioned him as a public figure advocating for both black and LGBTQ+ communities, deeply influencing his writing. The study uses Henri Tajfel and John Turner's Social Identity Theory (SIT) to understand how Baldwin's identity was formed. The first stage explores Baldwin’s self-awareness as part of social groups like the black and homosexual communities. The second stage analyzes his shift from recognizing his identity to actively defining it. The third stage looks at the psychological and social impact of his group identity, highlighting how racism and homophobia shaped his work and the messages he conveyed. The study concludes that Baldwin’s identity was shaped by his environment and the double oppression he faced—both as a homosexual and as a black man. SIT provides a valuable framework for understanding how group affiliation influences individual identity and broader social dynamics.

Abstract

The PAI Learning Strategy Based on Multiple Intelligences aims to develop students' abilities in understanding and practicing Islamic teachings according to their individual potential. This research describes the planning, implementation and evaluation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning strategies based on multiple intelligences (MI) for class III students at SD Negeri 1 Bonipoi, using descriptive qualitative methods and case studies. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation, and analyzed through data condensation and display, as well as triangulation validation. Research results: 1) Planning: Includes MI identification through observing student activities and interviews, creating a syllabus and learning tools according to student intelligence, as well as preparing supporting media. 2) Implementation: Carried out with apperception, motivation, and MI-based activities, such as singing and reflection, as well as learning activities that are appropriate to student intelligence, such as verbal linguistics, logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist. 3) Evaluation: Does not use ratings, but rather authentic assessments that include cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

SDN 1 Merembu terletak di desa Merembu, Kecamatan Labuapi, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, NTB berperan penting untuk memberikan pendidikan yang berkualitas. Meskipun terletak di pedesaan dan belum memiliki fasilitias yang memadai, SDN 1 Merembu termasuk sekolah yang cukup berprestasi baik di bidang akademik maupun non-akademik. Proses pembelajaran di sekolah mengadopsi kurikulum 2013 dan kurikulm merdeka. Kendala yang dimiliki oleh sekolah adalah penataan ruang kelas yang belum merata, kurangnya pemberdayaan teknologi dan metode pembelajaran inovatif, serta tidak ada ekstrakurikuler akibat masyarakat yang kurang mendukung. Sebagai upaya untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut sekaligus meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi peserta didik, mahasiswa kampus mengajar membuat program seperti kincir perkalian, media pembelajaran tata surya, dan poster edukatif.

Abstract

Kreativitas merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam pengembangan diri anak yang perlu di perhatikan dalam proses pendidikan. Kreativitas tidak hanya dapat membantu mereka menyelesaikan masalah dengan cara inovatif, tapi juga membekali mereka dengan keterampilan untuk menghadapi tantangan dimas yang akan datang. Namun, di lapangan, banyak sekolah dasar di Indonesia, khususnya di daerah terpencil, masih menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam upaya mengembangkan kreativitas anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan kreativitas peserta didik di SDN 1 Merembu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan cara melakukan observasi. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan tiga program utama untuk mengembangkan kreativitas peserta didik, yaitu Tari Kreasi, Membuat Kolase, dan Kelas Kreatif. Ketiga program ini secara keseluruhan berhasil dalam mengembangkan kreativitas peserta didik, meskipun masih terdapat kekurangan di beberapa aspek, terutama dalam pengelolaan waktu. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah agar semua program ini dapat dilanjutkan dan ditingkatkan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih maksimal di masa mendatang. Dengan demikian, diharapkan kreativitas siswa dapat terus berkembang secara optimal.

Abstract

Heart disease is recognized globally as a leading cause of death, demanding innovative prevention strategies to reduce the risk of heart disease. One promising approach is the use of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA), which offers an alternative treatment to combat this disease. In the context of health promotion, media, particularly video, has emerged as an effective tool for raising awareness and encouraging the adoption of better health practices. This study was conducted at one of the hospitals in Lubuk Pakam, Deli Serdang Regency focused on the influence of health promotion via video on the use of TOGA by heart disease patients. Using a Pre-Experimental One Group Pre-test and Post-test design, this study involved 38 heart disease patients selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using a paired sample t-test, showing a significant increase in the use of TOGA after health promotion through video media, with the average score increasing from 13.97 to 17.42. The research findings show a p value = 0.000 which confirms that health promotion through video media has a positive impact on the use of TOGA among heart disease patients. This suggests that video, as a health information tool, has great potential to increase acceptance and implementation of TOGA not only among heart disease patients but also in the wider community, offering an effective and accessible strategy to support heart health.

Abstract

Coffee exports are high, but productivity is low due to poor coordination, limited resources, and weak skills and infrastructure. The objectives of this research are to (1) explain the role of agribusiness institutions in enhancing the competitiveness of Arabica Coffee, (2) identify the obstacles that hinder the effectiveness of agribusiness institutions in enhancing Arabica Coffee production, (3) design strategic programs to improve Arabica coffee production. This research uses survey methods, interviews, and focus group discussions to obtain data by involving respondents or experts directly involved. The analysis used is Interpretative Structural Modeling to analyze institutional relationships and identify strategic points for policy intervention to increase Arabica coffee production.  The results of the ISM analysis show that the Department of Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantations of Enrekang Regency has a strategic role in increasing Arabica coffee production through coordinated strategic programs. The main obstacle is the lack of initial support for institutional involvement, which hinders inter-agency coordination. Strategic programs such as extension services focus on enhancing farmers knowledge and skills to adopt sustainable technologies and practices.
