Abstract

The most economically important invasive thrips species, known for causing serious damage to various crops through feeding and virus transmission, was recorded in the cut flower production center of West Java Province, Indonesia. Thrips specimens were collected from chrysanthemum plastic houses using sweep nets, beating trays, yellow pan traps, and hand vacuums. Based on morphological characteristics, the specimens were identified as Frankliniella occidentalis Pergande 1895 (Thysanoptera: Thripidae). Infestation levels in chrysanthemum ranged from 9 to 15 individuals per plastic house. This is the first confirmed report of F. occidentalis infesting chrysanthemums in Indonesia, as the species has not been previously recorded in the country. It can be distinguished from other thrips species by its unique morphological traits, including comb-like setae on the eighth abdominal tergite and distinctive chaetotaxy patterns on the head and pronotum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh promosi digital terhadap keputusan berkunjung di Museum Penerangan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder dengan mengunakan program software SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 70 Pengunjung Museum Penerangan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo). Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan simple random sampling. Metode analisis data menggunakan Uji Asumsi Klasik, Uji Regresi Linier, Koefisien Determinasi (R2) dan Uji Hipotesis. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan promosi digital berpengaruh terhadap keputusan berkunjung di Museum Penerangan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo). Hal ini terlihat dari nilai signifikan variabel promosi digital (X1) 18.516 > 0,05, dan nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (18.516 >1.994), maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Saran dalam penelitian ini yaitu Pengelola Museum Penerangan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo) perlu menyediakan informasi lengkap tentang Museum Penerangan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo) sehingga menjadi referensi pengunjung yang akan datang. Untuk itu perlu disediakan rubrik untuk komentar kepuasan pengunjung sebagai cara menampung saran dan kritik untuk kemajuan pengelolaan Museum Penerangan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo). Abstract

Information on scar incidence and its effect on fruit quality of ‘Kristal’ guava (Psidium guajava L.) grown on different altitudes is currently limited. The aim of this study was to evaluate the fruit scar incidence and fruit quality of 'Kristal' guava var. grown on low- and middle-altitude orchards. The research was conducted by collecting 50 samples of fruit harvested from each orchard from January to June 2019. Fruit quality evaluation was carried out at Postharvest Laboratory, Department of the Agronomy and Horticulture, IPB University, whereas scarring pest observation was conducted at Insect Biosystematics Laboratory, Department of Plant Protection, IPB University. Our results showed that the low-altitude orchard produced more fruits with medium, high, and very high scar intensity, while the middle-altitude orchard produced more fruits with low and very low scar intensity. Fruit scar was caused by fruit scarring pests, especially thrips and mites. Fruit tissue damage only occurred on the epidermis of fruit pericarps where the tissue turned brownish and thickened. Additionally, there was no expansion of the damage into the pulp. The peel damage did not affect the fruit taste as indicated in the level of total soluble solids (TSS), titratable acidity (TA), TSS/TA ratio, vitamin C, and total flavonoids content. Fruit external quality was varied in response to altitude, where middle-altitude orchard produced a heavier, a bigger and a lower fruit softness than low-altitude ones. Present findings could be the baseline information for determine the best growth site and adjustment of pest control to maintain fruit quality.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan inovasi dan kompetisi melalui pelatihan digital marketing di STAI Al-Muhajirin unit usaha UMKM di Kelurahan Nagri Kaler Purwakarta. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa luaran yang berpotensi membawa dampak positif kepada masyarakat, terutama dalam konteks inovasi dan kompetisi di era digital. Beberapa hasil dan potensi luaran yang dapat dicapai melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan Digital Marketing adalah sebagai berikut: peningkatan jumlah usaha baru, peningkatan kualitas usaha, peningkatan daya saing, peningkatan akses pasar dan peningkatan kolaborasi dan konektivitas.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to see how the performance of contemporary beverage companies is influenced by Strategic Alliances, Strategic Innovation mediated by Social Media. This research method was designed with a quantitative approach, namely an approach that emphasizes aspects of social behavior that can be calculated and patterned. This research is based on the prositivism paradigm, namely research based on objectivity and intelligence to produce knowledge. The research results show that Strategic Alliances do not have a positive effect on Company Performance directly but must be through Social Media, while Strategic Innovation has a direct effect and through Social Media on Marketing Performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work briefing and supervisor role on the employee performance of PT. GMF Aeroasia Tbk. in Third Party Line Maintenance Unit at Soekarno Hatta International Airport. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 150 employee of PT. GMF Aeroasia Tbk. in Third Party line Maintenance unit at Soekarno Hatta International Airport. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and obtained a sample of 60 respondents. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that partially the work briefing had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. For supervisor role variables partially have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously work briefing and supervisor role have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. The ability of work briefing variables and supervisor role in explaining purchasing decisions is 89.1% as indicated by the R square value of 0.891 while the remaining 10.9% is influenced by other factors not included in the research model.

Abstract

Stored product insect can cause consumer rejection and economic loss due to quality concerns and  phytosanitary regulation. Insect traps have been regularly used as a control method, however its effectiveness on controlling stored copra meal insect pests is not yet known.This study was carried out to compare the effectiveness of three types of insect traps for detection of insect pests of copra meal.The three types of insect traps were pitfall trap, probe trap, and ultraviolet (UV) light trap (blacklight and LED-light emiting diodes). Research was conducted at Laboratory of Entomology SEAMEO BIOTROP, Bogor and two storage facilities of copra meal in North Sulawesi. Laboratory experiment was conducted using completely randomized design with two factors and four replications. The first factor was the types of insect traps (pitfall trap, probe trap, and probe trap with UV LED) and the second factor was insect species (Lasioderma serricorne (Herbst) and Tribolium castaneum (Fabricius)). The experiment at storage facilities was conducted with nested block design where the insect species trapped were nested in the insect traps. The result of laboratory experiment showed that the probe trap captured more insects (30.4%) significantly higher than pitfall trap (17.1%), however there was no significant difference of number of insects trapped in probe trap with and without UV LED. In addition the probe trap captured more T. castaneum and Tenebroides mauritanicus than other type of insects trap, but probe trap with UV LED was more effective to detect L. serricorne and Necrobia rufipes (Fabricius) in the stored copra meal.

Abstract

Brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens (Stål)) is one of the major rice insect pests that is known to cause high loss of rice production. One of the strategies to control this pest is by using resistant rice varieties. The aim of this research was to study the resistance of IPB 3S variety to BPH by measuring BPH fecundity, sex ratio, feeding activity as well as population increase compared to Ciherang variety against brown planthopper (N. lugens). Fecundity test used a pair of BPH adult infested on 21 days after planting (DAP) of rice plants. Eggs laid in rice stalks and the rest of eggs in the ovary were counted. In order to know the change of sex ratio, a pair of BPH adults was infested on 30 DAP rice plants and allowed to lay eggs. The calculation of sex ratio was conducted at adult stage of BPH by segregation between male and female adults. Feeding activity of BPH was evaluated using ninhydrin and analyzed qualitatively using spectrophotometer. Ten fourth instar nymphs of BPH was infested on 30 DAP old of rice seedlings. Honeydew secreted by BPH was collected to filter paper sprayed with ninhydrin. Population increased test was conducted by infesting five pairs of BPH adults on 35 DAP old rice plants. Observations was conducted on nymph and adult stages. Each test was replicated 10 times. In general, IPB 3S is slightly resistant to BPH, compared to Ciherang variety. The feeding activity of BPH is higher in Ciherang compared to IPB3S. However, the fecundity and population increased of BPH in Ciherang is similar to IPB3S.

Abstract

Cheilomenes sexmaculata (Fabricius) is a potential natural enemy of aphids. Various aspects of the ecology and biology of this predator have been studied; however, there is still limited information on its physiology, particularly regarding pheromones and other semivolatiles. Naturally, intraspecific and interspecific interactions of C. sexmaculata involve a variety of semiochemicals. The information on the semiochemicals of C. sexmaculata, particularly its sex pheromones, footprints, defense mechanisms, aggregation, and other semivolatile characteristics, is still limited in Indonesia. This research was aimed to identify the semiochemical produced by the female of C. sexmaculata. The volatile compounds emitted by C. sexmaculata were captured using the headspace solid-phase micro extraction (SPME) method. The identification and quantification of each volatile compound were analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). A total of 47 volatile compounds was identified among the semivolatiles. The identified volatiles comprise 47 compounds, mainly from the hydrocarbon compunds. Methyl isovalerate was the compound with the highest proportion, namely 31.43%. Several compounds identified were known to be components of the C. sexmaculata pheromone, namely methyl isovalerate, limonene, undecane, dodecane, and eicosane. These compounds were reported as components of sex pheromones, aggregation, and alarm. The limonene identified in this experiment was also previously reported in several Coccinelliade as a component of aggregation pheromone.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian in adalah karena banyanya siswa yang merasa kurang percaya diri di sebuah lingkungan baru maupun. Skripsi kuantitatif dari penelitian yang dilakukan ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan percaya diri dengan penyesuaian diri siswa Fafage Futsal Akademi Banjarnegara.dalam melakukan Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Fafage Akademi Futsal sebanyak 90 siswa. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 65 siswa dihitung menggunakan tabel penentuan jumlah sampel. Alat yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data skala percaya diri dan penyesuaian diri siswa. Hipotesis penelitian ada hubungan percaya diri daengan penyesuaian diri siswa fafage akademi futsal banjarnegara.
