Abstract

This economic education activity for palm sap farmers aims to provide economic strengthening and build awareness among the public, especially palm sap farmers, that palm sap water can be utilized and made into several products with high economic value, for example bioethanol products. Apart from that, it can also minimize the negative impact of the production of alcoholic drinks made from palm sap in Lonuo village. This activity uses educational methods, socialization and community assistance for sugar palm sap farmers. Empowering sugar palm farmers through product diversification is the key to increasing the quality and quantity of sugar palm sap products into various marketable products such as bioethanol. This economic education activity for palm sap farmers has had a positive impact and response from the Lonuo village community. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the community in participating in activities at the village office. The community received education well and smoothly and increased public understanding regarding the use of palm sap into products of high economic value such as bioethanol.

Abstract

Natural disasters like earthquakes, tidal floods, and strong winds frequently occur in coastal areas, necessitating disaster mitigation. Coastal biodiversity can serve as a tool for disaster mitigation in coastal areas. SMK Negeri 1 Batudaa Pantai, located in the coastal area of Tomini Bay, Gorontalo Province, conducts community service activities regarding the use of coastal biodiversity as disaster mitigation due to the importance of this knowledge for coastal communities. This activity was attended by 41 students from classes X and XI at SMK Negeri 1 Batudaa Pantai. On May 20, 2024, the SMK Negeri 1 Batudaa Pantai school building hosted the activity from 8:00 WITA until its conclusion. Lecture, discussion, and active participation are methods used in activities. Service activities run well and smoothly. Participants were enthusiastic about participating in this activity, which provided benefits. This activity benefits participants by enhancing their understanding of how to utilize coastal biodiversity to prevent unwanted natural disasters. The importance of knowing coastal biodiversity as disaster mitigation can minimize the occurrence of natural disasters in coastal areas.

Abstract

Perintis Lake is a lake that is used by the community to fulfill their daily needs. Various types of fish that live in this lake are used as food for the community. Apart from that, Lake Perintis also has various organisms that live in it, including mushrooms. Fungi that live in waters are usually parasitic or saprophytic which if consumed can cause allergies or cause poisoning in humans. This study aims to isolate and identify the types of fungi present in fish in Lake Perintis. The method used in this study was the plate count method which included dilution, embedding into saburaud medium, and counting colonies. The results showed that there were three types of microscopic fungi in the fish in Lake Perintis, namely Saprolegnia sp, Aspergillus flavus, Rhizopus sp.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to test the feasibility of developing a macroscopic mushroom encyclopedia as a learning medium. This research is Research and Development (R&D) research. The research procedure adapted the ADDIE development model. The adaptation of the ADDIE model in this research was carried out at the encyclopedia validation stage. The encyclopedia validation test was carried out by two expert validators, namely a material expert validator and a media expert validator. Next, validators are asked to provide a general assessment and suggestions regarding the encyclopedia that has been developed, whether the encyclopedia is valid or invalid. Validation of the macroscopic fungal encyclopedia is in the very feasible category with a percentage of 92% by media expert validators and a percentage of 91% by material expert validators. The results of the validity test show the category is very feasible, which means that the resulting encyclopedia media does not need to be revised and is suitable for testing.

Abstract

This research aims to develop website-based biology learning media on environmental pollution material based on differentiated learning for students. This type of research is development research, adapting the ADDIE development model including the stages of analysis, design, develop, implementation and evaluation. Development research was carried out to obtain website-based learning media regarding environmental pollution that is valid, so that it is suitable for use as learning media in high schools. The research results show that first, website-based biology learning media on environmental change material is included in very valid criteria based on expert validator assessments (content/material and construct) so that it can be used in the learning process at SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo City.

Abstract

This research aimed to discover and describe E-Modules development based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) assisted by the Canva application to improve student learning outcomes in Class X of SMA (Senior High School). This research used the Research & Development (R&D) method with a model ADDIE, which was carried out in a limited trial on 20 students in class X-5 in SMA Negeri 1 Telaga Biru. The study's findings indicated that (1) the media validation test obtained a score of 76% (Valid), and the material validation test's score was 87% (Very Valid). (2) The Practicality Test consisted of a teacher response test that obtained a score of 87% (Very Practical), and student responses obtained a score of 93% (Very Practical). (3) Students' learning outcomes through a Pretest- Posttest evaluation, based on the N-Gain scale, obtained a score of 0.60 (Moderate) or 60% (Fairly Effective).

Abstract

This study is an experimental study aimed at determining the use of crossword puzzle media in enhancing student learning outcomes in the learning material of the human respiratory system for class XI IPA 3 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo. This study employed a descriptive statistical quantitative method using a one-group design pre-test and post-test. The population consisted of class XI IPA 3 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo, totaling 30 students. Data collection techniques included interview and tests. The findings are as follows: based on the data analysis, it is evident thet there is an enhancement in student learning outcomes for class XI IPA 3 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo. Furtheremore, based on the descriptive study, it indicates that the average student learning outcomes before the use of crossword puzzles media. Moreover, based on statistical analysis of student learning outcomes, it obtains a t-count value of 0,027 with a significant level of 0,05, hence 0,027 > 0,05. This shows that there is a significant difference between student learning aoutcomes before and after the use of crossword puzzle media in class XI IPA 3 at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo.

Abstract

Pembiasaan dan pembudayaan karakter peduli lingkungan bagi pesreta didik di melalui pengintegrasian dengan mata Pelajaran IPA di sekolah, Pembelajaran IPA menjadikan peserta didik mampu belajar di lingkungan alam sekitar sekolah dan mengenal alam sekitar. Guru juga dapat mengintegrasikan pembelajaran IPA dengan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal seperti budaya huyula yang ada di provinsi Gorontalo. Budaya Huyula sangat penting bagi dunia pendidikan karena dampak bagi peserta didik sangat positif diantaranya saling tolong-menolong dan kerja sama yang baik. Kegiatan ini memberikan pengetahuan kepada peserta didik untuk menumbuhkan karakter peduli terhadap lingkungan. Karakter peduli lingkungan tumbuh dalam diri peserta didik dengan menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai peduli lingkungan di dalam pembelajaran IPA serta terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal setempat. Melalui kegiatan ini, peserta didik menjadi bertambah pengetahuannya terkait cara menjaga lingkungan dan lebih cinta dan peduli terhadap lingkungan.

Abstract

Model desain pembelajaran assure merupakan suatu model pembelajaran yang lebih berorientasi pada pemanfaatan media dan teknologi dalam menciptakan proses dan aktivitas pembelajaran yang diinginkan. Melalui pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model desain pembelajaran assure ini membuat peserta didik beradaptasi dengan baik saat proses belajar. Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang baik dan tepat penting untuk mendapat perhatian guru dalam setiap kegiatan pembelajaran karena akan berdampak pada terciptanya proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan bermakna. Guru perlu mempelajari cara memilih serta menggunakan media pembelajaran agar dapat mengefektifkan pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran dalam proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Kegiatan ini meningkatkan wawasan bagi guru-guru di SMA Negeri 1 Pulubala terkait penerapan model desain pembelajaran assure dan media pembelajaran inovatif berbasis teknologi. Melalui kegiatan ini, guru dapat merancang modul ajar dengan mengunakan model desain pembelajaran assure dan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

Hampir semua anak-anak di Sekolah Dasar memiliki kebiasaan jajan di sekolah dan belum mengerti cara memilih makanan jajanan yang sehat, aman, bersih dan yang dapat berakibat buruk terhadap kesehatan mereka. Anak-anak biasanya membeli makanan jajanan di sekolah karena makanan itu merupakan kesukaan anak-anak, tampilannya menarik dan murah tanpa memikirkan kandungan bahan-bahan dari jajanan tersebut. Salah satu upaya untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan bagi anak-anak usia SD untuk memilih dan membeli makanan jajanan di sekolah dengan memberikan sosialisasi bahaya zat aditif dan adiktif yang berbahaya pada makanan jajanan. Kegiatan sosialisasi dilaksanakan di SD IT Qurratu ‘Ayun Kota Gorontalo dengan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi bagi peserta didik kelas atas terdiri atas 3 tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Peserta sangat antusias dan bersemangat mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi dari awal hingga akhir. Terjadi peningkatan pemahaman pasca kegiatan sosialisasi zat aditif dan adiktif pada makanan bagi peserta didik kelas atas yaitu sebesar 33,7%. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini memberikan manfaat dan keterampilan bagi peserta didik dalam memilih dan membeli makanan jajanan yang sehat, aman dan bersih. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini mengajarkan kepada anak-anak tentang pentingnya memilih jajanan yang sehat, aman dan bersih sebagai investasi penting bagi masa depan mereka yang lebih sehat dan lebih baik.
