A moral value study is necessary to be taught to students. One way to teach moral values is through literary works such as narrative texts. In this study, the Senior High School English textbooks published by The Ministry of Education and Culture and PT. Grafindo Media Pratama were evaluated on the moral principles provided in their narrative passages. A content analysis design was used in this investigation. The data was derived from seven narrative passages contained in English textbooks. The data were gathered by using a documentation method. The data collection, interpretation, and conclusion were the steps in the data analysis process. This study concentrated on the five moral values criteria listed by Linda and Eyre (2013): kindness, love and affection, honesty, respect, and courage. The study discovered that the virtue of kindness dominated the story texts, while respect was mentioned the least overtly. Furthermore, more study was needed to determine the efficacy of the school's environment in establishing values of morality.

Individuals interact through two components, namely verbal and nonverbal communication. The two components are inseparable. This article aims to examine the nonverbal cues exhibited by the American character, Jack Mc. Call, portrayed in the film "A Thousand Words". This is a high-quality document. It contains two categories of information. The primary data is obtained from the film's screen captures that emphasize Jack's nonverbal cues. The supporting data encompass additional information that bolsters the examination. The method employed for gathering data involves conducting research at the library and utilizing the subsequent procedures: viewing the film and capturing screenshots of the scenes that pertain to Jack's nonverbal communication. Analyzing data is executed by utilizing the principles of nonverbal communication. Initially, the American way of communication is distinctly dissimilar from the Asian approach, which often involves showing respect by bowing during conversations. Secondly, as Americans speak more attentively, they frequently rely on gestures and facial expressions, as mentioned previously. Jack represents American nonverbal communication.

The internationalization of curriculum is an integration of the application of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) in recent years. This research aims to investigate the implications of internationalizing the curriculum through the implementation of English as Medium of Instructions (EMI) in international classes for Bengkulu University law students. The participants in this research were 2nd and 4th semester Law students who had joined the International class program with a total of 28 participants. This research uses a qualitative methodology design with the instruments used, namely a questionnaire using a Likert scale and interviews. The results show that students have positive perceptions and tendencies towards the application of EMI in international classes. However, there are several weaknesses and challenges faced, such as competency in language use and English proficiency certification. The implication is that the International Class Program as a means of implementing EMI in the learning process must follow international curriculum standards that are appropriate by paying attention to many aspects, including the abilities of students, teachers, stakeholders and program management. Therefore, in conclusion, the application of EMI has a positive effect and is highly recommended for all types of scientific disciplines by paying attention to international standard curriculum implementation standards.

In today's globalized world, the ability to communicate effectively in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and critical thinking are indispensable skills for Indonesian students. However, traditional EFL curricula in Indonesia often prioritize linguistic competence and neglect critical thinking skills. This study explores the perspectives of EFL teachers in Bengkulu regarding their students' critical thinking skills and their views on integrating critical thinking instruction into the EFL curriculum. Using two adapted questionnaires, data was collected from 23 teachers in various educational institutions in Bengkulu. The results showed that although students demonstrated basic critical thinking concepts, they struggled with higher-order skills such as evaluating evidence objectively and anticipating consequences. Most teachers (91.3%) believe that teaching critical thinking is part of their job, and 65.2% support its incorporation into the EFL curriculum. However, 65.2% felt that they needed more training, and 34.8% were unsure about what critical thinking entailed. These findings underscore the need for a comprehensive curriculum overhaul in which critical thinking is woven throughout the language domain, supported by extensive teacher training, localized learning materials, and innovative assessments. By undertaking such reforms, Indonesia can nurture a generation of globally competent communicators capable of navigating the complexities of the 21st century.
