Abstract

A Family is the first and main place of education for children. In the family, children learn from the womb until the child's journey into their own household. Therefore, the family has a very basic role in optimizing all the potential of the child. The family literacy movement is based on the desire to improve the literacy skills of family members. herefore, the understanding of literacy as the ability to identify information needs, search for, obtain, process, and re-inform information needs to be improved in the family realm. To improve these literacy skills, the role of the family is very important. The family as the smallest unit in society, in the context of education, becomes the first and main learning environment for children. Through daily activities, parents or family members can introduce children to traditional music (such as gamelan, angklung, and sasando), regional dances, and folk songs. For example, parents sing regional songs as a lullaby or take children to watch traditional art performances. Parents must be able to find solutions and be as creative as possible in finding ways to be able to realize a literate family that can become a generation of national pride. Smart, creative, and caring parents will be very capable of realizing a culture of literacy in the family.

Abstract

This research aims to test the effect of the problem-based learning model assisted by learning videos on learning motivation, critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. Statistical accuracy is relied upon to ensure the quality of the results obtained as empirical evidence using a Quasi experimental approach and a non-equivalent control group design. Data was collected through learning outcomes tests and questionnaires, as well as documentation from a total of 56 samples with details of 27 students from the Experiment class and 29 students from the Control class. Descriptive statistical analysis is used along with other sets of analyzes to describe the results. The findings show that there is an influence of the problem-based learning model assisted by learning videos on learning motivation, critical thinking skills, and student learning outcomes with each significance value of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the think pair share cooperative learning model using mind mapping on learning motivation, critical thinking skills and social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students at Gugus 2 Elementary School, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency. The type of research used is quasi-experimental with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all class V students at Gugus 3 schools, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency and the sample was class V students at SDI Caddi, totaling 41 students and SDI Borongrappo, totaling 39 students. Data collection techniques use observation sheets to find out students' critical thinking skills during the learning process, questionnaires to determine learning motivation, and tests to measure students' social studies learning outcomes. The collected data was analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive statistical data analysis show that the average score of social studies learning motivation for the experimental class is 92.68 and for the control class is 54.05, the average score of students' critical thinking skills for the experimental class is 74.34 and for the control class is 48. 46, and the average score for social studies learning outcomes for the experimental class is 77.32 and for the control class is 48.46. Meanwhile, the results of inferential statistical data analysis show that the sig. on student learning motivation is 0.000 < 0.05 with a t-count > t-table value, namely 39.533 > 1.863. The sig value on students' thinking skills is 0.000 < 0.05 with a t-value of 8.419 > 1.6679. Sig value. The student learning outcomes are 0.000 < 0.05 with a t-value of 8.192 > 1.6679. And the MANOVA test shows a sig value. 0.000 < 0.05. This means that there is an influence of implementing the think pair share cooperative learning model using mind mapping on learning motivation, critical thinking skills and social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students at Gugus 2 Elementary School, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

The Effect of the Use of Canva Media on the Motivation to Learn Indonesian Language of Students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Makassar. Supervisor I Muhammad Nawir and Supervisor II Kaharuddin. The main problem in this study is whether there is an influence of the use of Canva media on the motivation of students to learn Indonesian Language of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental method with a One-Shot Case Study research design, The sample in this study is students of class XI OTKP SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar with a total of 23 students. This research procedure is carried out by observation, questionnaire and documentation methods. Based on the results of the study, the percentage of student activity in the first meeting learning was 78.69% and the percentage of student activity in the second meeting learning was 89.99% and from the results of the student response, an average score of 79.13% was obtained. The results of the infront statistical analysis showed that the result of the sig value was 0.063 where 0.063 > 0.05 which means that H0 was rejected or in other words H1 was accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of Canva media on the motivation of Indonesian Language learning students in grade XI OTKP at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar.

Abstract

Globalisasi menyebabkan generasi muda Indonesia semakin meninggalkan budaya lokal, yang mengancam keberlangsungan seni dan budaya tradisional sebagai identitas bangsa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pentingnya literasi budaya di masyarakat, mengeksplorasi upaya peningkatannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, serta mengidentifikasi berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi dalam penerapannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang melibatkan analisis terhadap berbagai literatur terkait literasi budaya, gerakan pelestarian budaya, serta dinamika sosial di era global. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi budaya mencakup pemahaman, apresiasi, dan keterlibatan aktif dalam budaya lokal serta menjadi kunci dalam memperkuat identitas nasional. Upaya peningkatan literasi budaya dapat dilakukan melalui pendidikan formal, kegiatan komunitas berbasis budaya, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Masyarakat juga dapat berperan aktif melalui berbagai kegiatan pelestarian budaya seperti pameran, festival budaya, dan pembelajaran lintas budaya. Namun, terdapat berbagai tantangan yang menghambat keberhasilan gerakan ini, di antaranya pengaruh globalisasi, penetrasi budaya asing, kurangnya kesadaran budaya, serta keterbatasan akses informasi yang akurat dan edukatif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi yang komprehensif dan kolaboratif dari berbagai pihak agar literasi budaya dapat ditanamkan secara berkelanjutan dalam kehidupan masyarakat.

Abstract

Integrasi literasi budaya dan kewargaan secara signifikan berkontribusi pada kerangka pendidikan di sekolah dasar di Indonesia. Mengingat keragaman bangsa, dengan lebih dari 1.300 kelompok etnis dan 700 bahasa yang berbeda, sangat pentong bagi kaum muda untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mendalam tentang warisan budaya mereka yang kaya. Literasi budaya membekali peserta didik dengan kemampuan untuk memahami, menghargai, dan memelihara identitas budaya mereka sendiri dan orang lain, sementara literasi kewargaan mencakup kesadaran akan hak dan tanggung jawab yang melekat pada kewarganegaraan dengan menggunakan metodologi pendidikan interaktif dan kolaboratif, diantisipasi bahwa siswa akan menumbuhkan disposisi toleransi dan memberikan kontribusi konstruktif kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of a Digital Library on the learning interest of eleventh-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Bontote'ne, Gowa Regency. This study used a one-group pretest-posttest design to measure the effect of the use of a barcode-based Digital Library on the learning interest of eleventh-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Bontote'ne, Gowa, involving eight students. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations, and analyzed using a t-test to determine whether there was a significant increase in learning interest after the intervention. The results of the observations showed high student activity in using digital platforms, with an average of 3-4 times a week of access. Students showed high initiative and enthusiasm in searching for learning materials independently using smartphones. However, unstable internet connections and limited devices remained obstacles. In line with these observations, the learning interest questionnaire also showed a significant increase. Before the treatment, the average score obtained from the eight students was 60.88 with a total of 478, placing their learning interest in the medium to low category and indicating the need for improvement. After utilizing the digital platform, the average score jumped to 81, with a total of 648, categorized as high, and indicating a substantial increase for each student (the highest score was 89, the lowest was 85). Statistical analysis using the Paired Samples t-Test yielded a significance value of 0.000, well below the alpha threshold of 0.05. This strongly demonstrates that the difference in scores before and after the intervention is statistically significant. Although the correlation between pre- and post-treatment scores was very weak and insignificant (r = -0.045, sig. = 0.916), this substantial increase in scores strongly indicates that the implementation of the Digital Library has had a positive and tangible impact on students' learning interest.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is whether there is an effect of using Flip PDF Professional-based E-module on students' interest in learning mathematics at SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa. This study aims to determine the effect of using an E-module based on Flip PDF Professional on students' interest in learning mathematics at SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa. This type of research is quantitative with the Pre-Experimental method with a One-shot case study, which uses treatment and measurement of a class with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study amounted to 78 students. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence on student learning interest after the application of the Flip PDF Professional-based E-module. This can be seen from the results of the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient test using SPSS 26, it is found that the sig. > 0.005, namely 0.830 > 0.005. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using Flip PDF Professional-based E-module on students' learning interests.

Abstract

The declining condition of character education can be seen from many irregularities such as corruption, environmental destruction, criminal acts, behavior that violates rules, lowtime discipline, and irresponsible behavior. Thus, shaping the character based on exemplary and habits is essential to be carried out, especially for students, as a basis for building civilization. The objective of this study was to identify exemplary-based characters in fifthgrade students of SD Islam Athirah 2 Makassar. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive findings presentation techniques. Data in this research were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis. The study results concluded that the character orders based on exemplary at grade V SD Islam Athirah 2 Makassar were divided into two. The first was exemplary intentionally, which consisted of being disciplined to be on time, being responsible, caring for the environment, and caring socially. The second was an exemplary accident, consisting of exemplary teachers applying the latest learning technology and courtesy.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of principals’ leadership style on the teachers’ performance at public elementary schools in Kecamatan Soromandi, Kabupaten Bima. The research utilized a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 128 elementary school teachers in Kecamatan Soromandi, Kabupaten Bima. From the population, 50 teachers were taken as the samples by using probability sampling techniques. The data were collectedthrough a questionnaire. The assumption test was the normality and linearity test while the hypotheses were examined by using simple regression analysis. The results of this study concluded that the Leadership Style Dominantly Performed by Principals at Public Elementary Schools in Kecamatan Soromandi, Kabupaten Bima was Democratic Leadership Style with a score of 67.43%, in a strong correlation and Transactional Leadership Style was in a low correlation with a score of 32.57%. Meanwhile, the teachers’ performance at public elementary schools in Kecamatan Soromandi, Kabupaten Bima was in a strong correlation with a score of 60.54%. Furthermore, the Principals’ Leadership Style Affected the Teachers’ Performance at Public Elementary Schools in Kecamatan Soromandi, Kabupaten Bima which was shown by a value of 63.90% with a significance of 0.00 <0.05. The score of the influence of principals’ leadership style on teachers’ performance was 63.90% and was strongly correlated.
