Abstract

Background : Entrepreneurship in nursing has enormous and promising opportunities for a nurse. It includes palliative care / home care, nursing counseling, caregiver training, physiotherapy services and others. However, the development of entrepreneurship in nursing still faces several obstacles.Purpose The aim of this study was to explore the development of entrepreneurship in nursing.Method The method used in this study was literature review. Several data bases including Google schoolar, Garuda, National Library, DOAJ, PubMed, Sciencedirect, and Proquest were used. Keywords were chosenin accordance with MESH (Medical Subject Heading), including “kewirausahaan keperawatan”, “hambatan kewirausahaan keperawatan”,"mahasiswa keperawatan", "nursing entrepreneurship", "nursing entrepreneurial", "barrier of nursing entrepreneur", "opportunities of nursing entrepreneur”, and “nursing student” in April 2020. Based on the search results there were 4 national and 4 international articles related to the topic and match the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Findings Findings from 8 articles indicated that obstacles faced by entrepreneur nurses were more due to a lack of entrepreneurial knowledge, experience, and skills. There are several ways to overcome obstacles that occur in nursing entrepreneurship, namely: increasing entrepreneurial knowledge and experience, identifying opportunities via internet or social media, and always interacting among fellow entrepreneurs, patients and the community to find opportunities that have never been found before. The solution to develop nursing entrepreneurship is to increase the interest, knowledge, skills, training and experience of nursing entrepreneurs. This research is expected to be used as an evaluation of entrepreneurship learning and nursing entrepreneurship development programs. Conclusion In conclusion, the development of nursing entrepreneurship is still facing some obstacles that need to be overcome. The main key lies in increasing knowledge, interests and skills through entrepreneurial training and education.

Abstract

IIntroduction: VNursLab Plus Universitas Padjadjaran offers technology-based learning media, namely virtual reality (VR) to support the clinical skills of nursing students. Before mass marketing, VNursLab Plus products need to be researched in several segmentations. Marketing mix 4P (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion) is one of the marketing strategies carried out to influence the purchasing decision of a product. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between 4P (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion) on VR purchasing decisions in college students. Research methodology: correlational research with a cross sectional approach and the respondents of this study were 89 Universitas Padjadjaran Nursing students who had tried using VR. The instrument used is an adaptation of previous research instruments that the researcher modified. Result: The Chi-Square test obtained a p value <0.01 in each variable product, price, and place on purchasing decision decisions, while the promotion variable on purchasing decisions produced a p value = 0.29. Discussion: The test results state that there is a relationship that makes the 4P marketing mix strategy (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) on VR purchase decisions, so that it can be adapted by VNursLab Plus by considering products, prices, places, promotions as marketing strategies before being marketed to broad segments. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) on VR purchase decisions in students as an additional learning method. So that VR can also be applied to streamline student learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of fear on intranatal and postnatal processes. The research method used was a scoping review of articles about the effects of fear of giving birth by searching database sources from Pubmed, Ebsco, and the Google Scholar search engine. The keywords used for the first search are "Childbirth Fear" AND "Impact of Childbirth Fear" OR "Effects of Childbirth Fear". Research results show that fear of giving birth that continues or is not handled correctly can cause mental well-being disorders after giving birth. These include postnatal anxiety, postnatal depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder. Persistent, unresolved fears can affect the bond between mother and baby. A prolonged fear of giving birth can increase the risk of premature birth or a baby with a low birth weight. The nursing intervention that can be carried out is making a directed and comprehensive birth plan involving the medical and nursing team. In conclusion, fear can trigger a stress response and increase physical and emotional tension in pregnant women during labor, causing delayed delivery or hindering the progression of work. Continued fear can lead to posttraumatic stress disorder, postpartum depression, or difficulty in meeting their baby's emotional and mental needs. Abstract

Introduction: Women who experience menopause will experience a decrease in the hormones estrogen and progesterone that occurs before menopause caused by ovarian atrophy, so it needs to be overcome with pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. One type of non-pharmacological therapy is complementary therapy. Objective: This study aims to identify interventions that can be taken to reduce menopausal signs and symptoms. Methods: CINAHL, PubMed, and Sage Journal databases were used for searching articles with sample inclusion criteria of menopausal women, Randomized Controlled Trials or quasi experimental study design, published in 2017-2022, in English, and full text. The exclusion criteria used were the focus of articles discussing interventions to reduce menopausal signs and symptoms with pharmacological therapy, protocol study articles, and pre-proof articles. Results: The search results for 14 matching articles were found. Interventions that can be done to reduce menopausal signs and symptoms are grouped into 4 approaches, namely psychological approaches (self hypnosis and mindfulness stress reduction programs), physical approaches (foot soaking and physical activity), nutritional approaches (herbal medicine, administration of magnesium, fluid nutrition, administration of isoflavones), and combined approaches (electroacupuncture, combined diet guidance and anti-resistance exercises). Conclusions: From the 14 articles obtained, it can be concluded that there are 4 categories of therapeutic approaches that can be taken to reduce menopausal symptoms. It is recommended that further research focus on interventions that are effective in reducing menopausal symptoms.

Abstract

Decision making for taking screening is an important component in preventing cervical cancer, but still many women who have not yet done it due to a lack of knowledge and decision-making ability.  Development of intervention tailored to the stages of decision-making based on the Precaution  Adoption  Process  Model,  such as training,  is able to improve decision-making ability to do the screening. This study aimed to determine the differences in the effect of training on decision-making for cervical cancer screening based on PAPM in the UPT Griya Antapani Health Center Bandung. This quasi-experimental study with two group pre-test post-test design involved  84  women aged  30-49  years who were chosen by purposive and proportional cluster sampling from two villages divided into  42  respondents each. Group  A received training with PowerPoint media,  leaflets,  videos, and WhatsApp while group  B received training with PowerPoint media, leaflets, and videos. The data of decision-making was collected using the  Precaution Adoption Process Model checklist:  before,  after training, and  15  days after training then analyzed using  Friedman test and  Mann  Whitney test.  The results showed that there were differences in decision-making in each group before and after training with p <0.001 but Mann Whitney test showed that there was no difference in decision-making between groups after training (p = 1,000 and p = 0.316). This depicted that any method and media can be used to change decision-making. Providing training and counseling is needed according to the stages of decision-making taking into account the factors that influence it.  Keywords: Cervical Cancer, Decision-making, Screening, the Precaution Adoption Process Model

Abstract

Section Cesarea (SC) is a method of delivering a fetus through an abdominal incision (laparotomy) and an incision in the uterus (hysterotomy). The problem that most often occurs in post-SC mothers is pain. Foot massage produces impulses that are sent through nociceptor afferent nerve fibers which make the gates close so that the pain stimulus is blocked. The aim of this study was to identify the effect of foot massage on pain in post-SC mothers in the Jade room at Dr. Slamet Hospital, Garut. The research design used is descriptive with a case study method. The research was conducted in the Jade room at Dr. Slamet Hospital, Garut. The number of participants was one client who experienced post SC for indications of placenta previa and former SC. Data was collected from the results of the assessment using the postpartum assessment format from the Department of Maternity, Faculty of Nursing, Padjadjaran University and the Numeric Rating Scale to assess pain. The results of the case study showed a decrease in the pain scale felt by the mother after SC where the pain scale before the foot massage intervention was 7/10 and after the foot massage intervention the pain scale decreased to 4/10. Thus, Foot Massage has an influence on reducing the pain scale in Post SC mothers in the Jade room at Dr. Slamet Hospital, Garut. Foot massage can be an alternative non-pharmacological management that can be carried out by nurses to reduce pain in post-SC mothers. Suggestions for future researchers are expected to use experimental research methods to reduce bias.
