Abstract

Telah dilakukan perancangan dan pengujian performa turbin air tidal untuk penggerak pompa di tambak garam menggunakan blade hydrofoil standar NACA S814 untuk menghasilkan desain turbin tidal, optimasi bilah turbin tidal dan juga coefficient of power (Cp) pada turbin tidal. Perancangan geometri turbin tidal menggunakan rumus yang tersedia dan pengujian turbin tidal menggunakan bantuan software Qblade. Variasi kecepatan aliran air yang pertama 1 m/s, Variasi kecepatan aliran air yang kedua 1,536 m/s, Variasi kecepatan aliran air yang ketiga 2,072 m/s, Variasi kecepatan aliran air yang keempat 2,608 m/s, Variasi kecepatan aliran air yang kelima 3,144 m/s, Variasi kecepatan aliran air yang keenam 3,68 m/s. Hasil perancangan yang didapatkan adalah panjang chord 0,02 m, panjang blade 0,4 m, diameter poros 0,16 m, diameter bilah 1,1 m, jumlah blade 3. Hasil dari pengujian performa dari turbin tidal untuk masing-masing varian kecepatan adalah 22,474; 9,136; 4,703; 2,642; 1,539; 0,900. Dari data hasil pengujian tersebut diolah dengan menggunakan metoda ANOVA. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan adalah karena nilai F (kecepatan) =2,219512 F crit =2,53355 maka tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil uji pada varian kecepatan dan karena nilai F (uji) =25,59739 F crit =2,42052 maka terdapat perbedaan hasil uji pada varian hasil.Kata kunci: ANOVA, Coefficient of Power,Turbin Tidal, QbladeThe design and performance test of a tidal water turbine for pump driving in salt ponds has been carried out using a standard NACA S814 hydrofoil blade to produce a tidal turbine design, optimization of tidal turbine blades, and also the coefficient of power (Cp) on a tidal turbine. Tidal turbine geometry design using the available formulas and tidal turbine testing using the Qblade software. The first variation of airflow velocity is 1 m/s, the variation of the second airflow velocity is 1.536 m/s, the variation of the third airflow velocity is 2.072 m/s, the variation of the fourth airflow velocity is 2.608 m/s, the fifth variation of airflow velocity is 3.144 m/s, Variation of water flow velocity 3.68 m/s. The design results obtained are chord length 0.02 m, blade length 0.4 m, shaft diameter 0.16 m, blade diameter 1.1 m, number of blades 3. The results of testing the performance of the tidal turbine for each speed variant are 22.474; 9.136; 4,703; 2,642; 1,539; 0.900. From the test results, data are processed using the ANOVA method. The conclusion obtained is because the value of F (speed) = 2.219512 < F crit = 2.53355 then there is no difference in the test results on the speed variant and because the value of F (test) = 25.59739 > F crit = 2.42052 then there is the difference in test results on the variance of results.Keywords : ANOVA, Coefficient of Power, Tidal Turbine, QbladeDAFTAR RUJUKANBaihaqiy, A. Abstract

The aim of this activity is to solve the problems faced by SMEs engaged in processing pumpkin  as a superior product of Semarang Regency, Central Java. As an activity partner is UKM "KARUNA" led by Mrs. Nanik with the address of Getasan Village, Getasan District, Kab. Semarang. The main product of SME partners is geplak waluh (as snack). The process of making geplak waluh goes through several steps, and the most burdensome stage is the stirring process which takes a long time (8 hours) and is done manually. To overcome this problem, the implementation team has designed appropriate technology in the form of a geplak waluh mixer. The activity method includes several stages, including problem analysis, concept design, drawing work, component manufacturing, assembly, machine testing, and machine refinement. This activity has succeeded in implementing a geplak pumpkin mixer with 1 HP electric motor, 23.33 RPM stirring blade rotation, 24 kg production capacity, 5 hours cooking process. Thus the application of this machine can save 3 hours of time (37,5%), better product quality, more hygienic, and relieve workers

Abstract

Permasalahan umum alat pengering yaitu penyebaran udara panas tidak merata. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendesain, mengetahui kefeektifan, dan menganalisis efisiensi alat. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan desain alat pengering dapat menyebarkan udara panas merata. Keefektifan menggunakan LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) maupun listrik menunjukkan hasil akhir kadar air bahan yaitu 10%. Efisiensi waktu menggunakan LPG pada suhu 40⁰C, 50⁰C, dan 60⁰C membutuhkan waktu 150 menit, 75 menit, dan 65 menit dengan efisiensi biaya produksi besarnya Rp. 4.900,00; Rp. 7.000,00; dan Rp. 7.700,00. Efisiensi waktu menggunakan listrik pada suhu 40⁰C, 50⁰C, dan 60⁰C membutuhkan waktu 210 menit, 180 menit, dan 165 menit dengan efisiensi biaya produksi besarnya Rp. 2.567,70; Rp. 2.200,90; dan Rp. 2.017,50. Waktu pengeringan paling efisien dengan LPG yaitu 65 menit pada suhu 60⁰C dan biaya produksi paling efisien dengan listrik yaitu Rp. 2.017,50 pada suhu 60⁰C.

Abstract

Ice cream is a type of food that is liked by many people, both young and old. The results of literature studies and field observations show that there are several problems such as effectiveness, efficiency, and ergonomics in the process of making ice cream. This design aims to make a machine that can function properly, effectively, efficiently, and ergonomically. The calculation of propulsion needs, power successor, v-belt speed, frame strength aims to meet the demand for ice cream targets according to the design plan. The ice cream maker uses a 0.25 HP motor with a rotation speed of 1400 rpm and a dough tube with a capacity of 16 liters. The effectiveness of the ice cream results shows that the rotation speed of 230 rpm is a good rotation speed used in the manufacturing process. Time efficiency reaches 10% because it is 2 minutes faster than the old engine. The capacity efficiency reaches 22.23% because it is able to produce 6.67 liters more. Cost efficiency reaches 55.29% or more efficient electricity costs Rp. 98.25. Ergonomic ice cream maker machine developed is very decent and better than the old machine.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengelasan SMAW tanpa preheat dan dengan variasi temperatur preheat sebesar 80°C, 110°C, 140°C, dan 170°C terhadap struktur mikro dan nilai kekerasan baja SS400. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental design. Variasi dalam penelitian ini adalah variasi temperatur preheat sebesar 80°C, 110°C, 140°C, dan 170°C. Parameter lain seperti jenis kawat las, arus pengelasan, dan jarak waktu dari preheat ke pengelasan dibuat seragam disetiap variasi temperatur. Variasi temperatur preheat memiliki pengaruh yang berbeda terhadap struktur mikro dan nilai kekerasan Vickers baja SS400. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh variasi temperatur preheat pada proses pengelasan SMAW terhadap struktur mikro dan nilai kekerasan Vickers yang dihasilkan. Spesimen pada variasi temperatur 140°C hingga 170°C tidak terdapat struktur martensite. Sedangkan spesimen raw material, 80°C, 110°C terdapat martensite di antara ferrite dan pearlite. Semakin tinggi temperatur preheat, semakin sedikit jumlah martensite. Hasil nilai kekerasan sejalan dengan struktur mikro yang terbentuk, terdapat pengaruh pengelasan non preheat dan variasi temperatur preheat pada proses pengelasan SMAW baja SS400 terhadap nilai kekerasan Vickers. Pengaruh variasi temperatur preheat terhadap nilai kekerasan baja SS400 adalah terjadi penurunan terhadap kekerasan secara signifikan di semua daerah pengelasan. Sedangkan spesimen preheat terendah memiliki kekerasan tertinggi di daerah weld metal dan spesimen preheat tertinggi memiliki kekerasan terendah sebesar di daerah base metal. Rata-rata nilai kekerasan tertinggi di daerah weld metal dan terendah di daerah base metal.

Abstract

Purpose of this research is to find out how the influence of variation of bentonite composition on the sand mold to casting defect, hardness, and microstructure. Variations of bentonite composition used were 0%, 8%, and 16%. The data of the research were analyzed directly using graphs and micro photographs which were then drawn conclusions from the results of the study. Needle-hole defects are found in all variations of bentonite composition. The porosity defect was found only in the variation of 0% and 16% bentonite compositions. The highest hardness value was obtained from the 8% bentonite composition variation is 84.26 VHN and the lowest hardness value was obtained from 0% VHN bentonite composition variation is 68.02 VHN. The best microstructure is indicated by the variation of 8% bentonite composition as evidenced by the formation of Al and Si elements that are evenly distributed and closer to the grain.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh variasi komposisi bentonit pada cetakan pasir terhadap cacat coran, kekerasan dan struktur mikro. Variasi komposisi bentonit yang digunakan adalah 0%, 8% dan 16%. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara langsung menggunakan grafik dan foto mikro yang kemudian  ditarik  kesimpulan  dari  hasil  penelitian  tersebut.  Cacat lubang jarum ditemukan di semua variasi komposisi bentonit. Sedangkan cacat porositas hanya ditemukan pada variasi komposisi bentonit 0% dan 16. nilai kekerasan tertinggi diperoleh dari variasi komposisi bentonit 8% sebesar 84.26 VHN dan nilai kekerasan terendah diperoleh dari variasi komposisi bentonit 0% sebesar 68.02 VHN. Struktur mikro terbaik ditunjukkan oleh variasi komposisi bentonit 8% dibuktikan dengan pembentukan unsur Al dan Si yang merata dan lebih merapat letak antar butirnya.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian dengan usaha kecil yang memproduksi sabun cair di Desa Giriwetan, Kecamatan Grabag, Kabupaten Magelang. Usaha kecil tersebut sudah memproduksi secara mandiri namun belum memiliki teknologi dalam membuat campuran dan pengemasan yang lebih efektif dan optimal. Kebutuhan akan teknologi dalam membuat campuran pengemasan sangat diperlukan guna menunjang produktivitas serta mempercepat proses distribusi. Solusi yang ditawarkan dalam permasalahan pada usaha kecil tersebut yaitu, pertama menerapkan IPTEK dalam menunjang produktivitas usaha kecil dalam proses pembuatan sabun cuci yang cepat dan optimal dalam pengisiannya. Yang kedua, menerapkan mesin sealer guna untuk membantu merekatkan kemasan. Kemasan yang aman dan menarik dapat menjadi daya minat bagi konsumen. Dengan adanya pengabdiannya ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan perekonomian masyarakat sebagai usaha kecil di desa Giriwetan Kecamatan Grabag Kabupaten Magelang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the preferences of (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises-MSMEs and Small and Medium industries-SMIs) in the city of Semarang on online trade and their impact on business development, obstacles encountered, and how the strategies of SMEs and SMIs in dealing with online trade in Semarang. The study population was MSMEs and SMIs which were spread out in 11 clusters in Semarang City and the samples were determined by purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire technique and interviews were analyzed descriptively-qualitatively. The results showed that the preference of MSMEs / SMIs in the City of Semarang towards online trade in the City of Semarang was under development. Quantitatively, there are more trade players who like the offline system (60%) compared to traders who prefer purely online (10%). However, there are relatively many business people who like to trade offline or online, which is 30%. The impact of online trade on the development of MSMEs in the city of Semarang tends to be positive, this is indicated by the research data which states that it is very profitable and profitable if the amount is 45%, and which states that it is less profitable or very unprofitable if it is only 3%. Most of the obstacles faced by MSMEs in Semarang City (84%) came from subjective and internal assessments of MSMEs in Semarang City. This is based on research findings which reveal that the constraints faced are dominated by the notion that online trading is complicated (32%), unfamiliar (29%), and there is no time (23%). Constraints due to safety factors are only 5% and other 11%. The strategies undertaken by MSMEs / SMIs actors in dealing with online trade are by improving and maintaining service quality and product quality, as well as optimization in promotions supported by new innovations.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology including internet bringsgreat impacts in many aspects such as business and sales. Many companies andindividuals use internet as amedia for their sales and business. This will affectsocienty’s behavior in shopping to fulfill theirneeds. This study was aimed to identify the profile of Semarang’s society who are involved in e-commerce andfigure out the effects of e-commerce towards the Semarang’s people behavior.This study is a descriptive research with people in Semarang as thepopulation. Thesamples were determined by using purposive method samplingnamely judgement sampling and quota sampling. The data were gathered throughquestionnaires and interviews. Thus, thedata collected were analyzed descriptive-quantitatively and descriptive-qualitatively.The studyshowed that 70% of Semarang people has done transactionsonline, and were dominated bywomen (58%). They are mostly high schooleducated (60%) under the age of 30 years old. Based on the type of the productsbought, people mostly bought goods (90%) specifically,fashion clothes (63%)and electronics (24%). E-commerce sites that are used to shop online were variedacross various sites (8 sites). Most of all, Shoope (25%) and company websites(21%) were the most two used sites for doing e-commerce. In addition, people inSemarangstill rarely to conduct online transactions with safety factor (42%), Considered as being less secure, as their main reason.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to do customer segmentation in retail companies by implementing the Recency Frequency Monetary (RFM) K-Means cluster model and algorithm optimized by the Elbow method.Methods: This study uses several methods. The RFM model method was chosen to segment customers because it is one of the optimal methods for segmenting customers. The K-Means cluster algorithm method was chosen because it is easy to interpret, implement, fast in convergence, and adapt, but lacks sensitivity to the initial partitioning of the number of clusters. To help classify each category of customers and know the level of loyalty, they use a combination of the RFM model and the K-Means method. The Elbow method is used to improve the performance of the K-Means algorithm by correcting the weakness of the K-Means algorithm, which helps to choose the optimal k value to be used when clustering.Result: This research produces customer segmentation 3 clusters with a Sum of Square Error (SSE) value of 25,829.39 and a Callinski-Harabaz Index (CHI) value of 36,625.89. The SSE and CHI values are the largest ones, so they are the optimal cluster values.Novelty: The application of the integrated RFM model and the K-Means cluster algorithm optimized by the Elbow method can be used as a method for customer segmentation.
