Abstract

Village workers, including village workers in Cisondari Village, are the main source of competitive advantage in village government because they are responsible for carrying out village government duties and functions as well as empowering village communities. Cisondari Village is located in Bandung Regency's Pasirjambu District. A job information document, compiled through job analysis, is required to assist job holders in understanding their work. One of the issues that arises in this village is the lack of job information for village workers. This causes an imbalance in the workload and has an impact on the work effectiveness of village workers, which in turn has an impact on organizational performance. As a result, job analysis activities are required to collect information about the duties and functions of each position in Cisondari Village. This activity is divided into two parts: advocacy and workshops. Advocacy is provided to village officials in the form of oral presentations on job analysis. Meanwhile, the workshop is delivered in the form of practice in preparing a job analysis, accompanied by a team. An evaluation was conducted to determine the usefulness of community service activities. The evaluation results revealed that the participants felt a high level of satisfaction and benefits from the activity. Furthermore, service activities are thought to be beneficial for village workers because they can help solve problems in Cisondari Village.

Abstract

The development of e-modules aims to become an effective learning resource for students, especially in studying acid-base material at the vocational school level. This research aims to evaluate the validity and responses of students to e-modules on acid-base material created using the Flip Book application. The research method used is development research with the ADDIE model. Data was analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The object of the trial is limited to practical aspects, namely class XI students in the Industrial Pharmacy skills program. The research results show that the e-module developed using Flip Book has been validated by material experts, media experts, chemistry subject teachers and pharmaceutical expertise programs, and laboratory assistants, with a score of 95.17%, indicating a very good category and suitable for use in learning . The results of the e-module practicality test of 3.58 are included in the very good category.

Abstract

Blog menawarkan fleksibilitas bagi guru dalam menyampaikan materi, menyediakan tugas, dan berinteraksi dengan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Namun tidak semua sekolah mengajarkan penggunaan dari blog, salah satunya adalah SMP 4 Tanralili Kab. Maros. Hal ini disebabkan karena guru belum mengetahui cara pembuatan Blog. Guru memerlukan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam mengoptimalkan blog sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi penggunaan blog sebagai media pembelajaran di SMPN 4 Tanralili Kabupaten Maros. Pelatihan dihadiri 11 Guru dari berbagai mata Pelajaran. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan pendekatan presentasi dan demonstrasi serta diakhiri dengan pemberian angket dalam bentuk google form sebagai umpan balik kegiatan. Kegiatan ini dibagi menjadi 2 sesi. Frekuensi pelatihan dilakukan 1 kali dengan durasi masing-masing sesi adalah 2x90 menit. Berdasarkan kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 86% mitra merasa puas terhadap pelatihan yang diberikan, 81,8% mitra berhasil memahami materi yang disampaikan tim pengabdi serta mampu untuk mengimplementasikan pembuatan blog secara mandiri.  Pelatihan yang diberikan dapat membantu guru untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang interaktif, meningkatkan literasi digital, dan mendorong inovasi dalam pengajaran.

Abstract

The social-scientific problem (socio-scientific Issues) is a controversial social problem that has a link to the concept or procedural of science. Learning about socio-scientific issues can promote scientific literacy by linking science to everyday life and society. This study aimed to explore and analyze students' attitudes toward Socio-scientific Issues after being given basic chemistry using the SOIE Learning model (Strengthening, Orientation, Investigation and Evaluation) in SSI's context, and Conventional models. This research conducted during one semester of a basic chemistry course in the chemistry education department in Universitas Negeri Makassar, Indonesia, with sixty-eight chemistry students. We carried data collections out using survey questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Data analyzed using SPSS's Independent t-test programs version 22 and tested with interview data. The results showed that there was a difference in attitudes towards significant socio-scientific issues between students taught using SSI's contextualized SOIE model and conventional models. More than 70% of students taught using SSI's contextualized SOIE model showed a more positive attitude toward SSI when compared to students taught with conventional models. The results showed that the SOIE learning model in SSI's context could be used to develop a student's attitude to socio-scientific issues in chemistry learning. Through the implementation of the SOIE learning model with SSI context, expected besides improving chemical literacy, students are also more concerned about environmental issues because of the impact of scientific-social phenomena.

Abstract

The problem formulation of this research is based on the background described above. The research problems can be summarized as follows: How is the interest in learning entrepreneurship among students of the Arabic Language Education Department? How do Arabic Language Education students pay attention to the assignments in the entrepreneurship course given by the lecturers? How is the enthusiasm of Arabic Language Education students during the entrepreneurship learning process? What is the level of academic achievement in the entrepreneurship course for Arabic Language Education students? And what factors influence the motivation to learn entrepreneurship in Arabic Language Education? The purpose of this research is to find out the level of interest in learning entrepreneurship among students of the Arabic Language Education Department at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching, UIN Alauddin Makassar, to understand their attention to entrepreneurship course assignments, to determine their enthusiasm for learning entrepreneurship, to evaluate the academic performance in the entrepreneurship course, and to identify the factors that influence their motivation to learn entrepreneurship. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was conducted through interviews. The results of the research indicate that the interest of Arabic Language Education students in learning entrepreneurship is relatively very satisfactory because it provides them with opportunities for entrepreneurship without depending on the government or others, thereby fostering a strong sense of independence. The students' level of attention to completing entrepreneurship assignments given by lecturers is high, as they gain new knowledge and experiences and can directly observe real entrepreneurial activities in the field, which also cultivates a spirit of creativity and innovation. The students’ enthusiasm during entrepreneurship learning sessions is excellent, as they realize that entrepreneurship activities offer unique value, especially in fostering the courage to take risks, enabling them to face challenges effectively. The academic achievement in the entrepreneurship course among the students generally shows outstanding result.

Abstract

Visualisasi adalah bentuk penyampaian informasi yang digunakan untuk mempresentasikan sesuatu dengan gambar atau animasi. Saat penelitian ini dibuat, beberapa desainer interior masih menggunakan konsep konvensional di atas kertas berupa foto atau gambar untuk mempresentasikan desain interior sehingga klien tidak dapat melihat detail interior secara 360º dan menjadi kurang efektif. Beberapa aplikasi grafis memiliki antarmuka yang tidak friendly karena sebagaian besar aplikasi grafis menggunakan antarmuka dan simbol yang dikhususkan untuk pengguna yang mengerti konsep rancang bangun. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut peneliti membangun sistem visualisasi yang dapat menampilkan objek-objek interior-dimensi secara 360º supaya pengguna dapat berinteraksi secara langsung dengan objek-objek interior dengan fitur memutar, menggeser atau mengerakkan setiap sudut ruangan dan pengguna dapat mengganti warna cat ruangan. Dalam penelitian ini penulis mengimplementasikan metode usability testing untuk mengukur evaluasi aplikasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan metode usability testing dalam pembuatan aplikasi visualisasi interior 3-dimensi, sehingga aplikasi yang dibangun dapat memenuhi tingkat kepuasan, kegunaan, kemudahan penggunaan, dan kemudahan untuk dipelajari bagi pengguna. Dalam melakukan penelitian, penulis melakukan pengumpulan data kebutuhan aplikasi dari sumber-sumber tertulis, dosen arsitek, dan para partisipan mahasiswa arsitektur dan desain produk. Setelah aplikasi visualisasi dirancang, penulis kemudian melakukan evaluasi untuk mengetahui tingkat kegunaan, kemudahan mempelajari, kemudahan penggunaan dan kepuasan aplikasi bagi partisipan.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the chemistry learning outcomes of grade XI students at SMK Jaya Negara Makassar by applying the Jigsaw-type cooperative learning model. This class action research (PTK) was conducted in two cycles, with the research subjects consisting of 20 students of class XI of SMK Jaya Negara Makassar. Each cycle consisted of four stages of activities, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection in this study was conducted through observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was quantitative analysis, including calculating learning outcome scores, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes. The average student score in cycle I was 69.75, while it increased to 86.15 in cycle II. In addition, the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes in cycle I reached 60%, and in cycle II increased to 100%, which showed perfect criteria. Based on this study's results, applying the Jigsaw-type cooperative learning method effectively improves student learning outcomes in chemistry subjects in class XI of SMK Jaya Negara. This research is expected to positively contribute to learning practices in schools and become a reference for further research on cooperative learning models in chemistry education.

Abstract

Borax, or sodium tetraborate, is a dangerous chemical compound that is banned from use as a preservative in food due to its potential health risks. Wet or instant noodles are a form of processed food from wheat flour that is widely consumed and favored by various levels of society, especially in school. The addition of borax to wet noodles aims to increase the chewiness and shelf life of the noodles. This study aims to identify the presence of borax in school's snack noodles. Qualitative analysis was used as the research method with purposive sampling technique in three sub-districts, namely Tamalate, Mamajang, and Rappocini sub-districts of Makassar City. The sampling criteria were wet noodles complementing meatball snacks from street vendors in front of the gate of elementary schools, and 15 noodle samples were obtained. Qualitative analysis was carried out by organoleptic test and color change of filter paper that had been soaked in curcumin extract from turmeric. The results showed that the wet noodle samples were pale yellow to bright yellow in color with a maximum shelf life of 24 hours. The test results with turmenic paper showed no color change, so it was concluded that all noodle samples did not contain borax.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Dusun Kelondom, Desa Lakatan, Kecamatan Galang, Kabupaten Tolitoli.Adapun waktu pelaksanaan penelitian ini selama tiga bulan mulai dari bulan Februari sampai April 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) terdiri dari satu faktor dan 4 taraf yaitu : M1 = Panjang Stek 20 cm, M2 = Panjang Stek 30 cm, M3 = Panjang Stek 40 cm, M4 = Panjang Stek 50 cm. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali sehingga terdapat 12 unit penelitian. Apabila hasil analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan pengaruh nyata, maka akan dilakukan uji lanjut dengan menggunakan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5%. Berdasrkan Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa panjang tanaman, diameter batang, berat umbi, dipengaruhi secara nyata oleh panjang stek. Pertumbuhan stek yang terbaik dapat terlihat pada panjang stek 50 cm. Sedangkan pada pengamatan jumlah daun pada umur 40 hari setelah tanaman terlihat pada panjang stek 30 cm.
