Abstract

This study explores the suboptimal implementation of performance appraisals for BLUD employees in public hospitals. This research aims to identify existing issues and formulate draft guidelines to enhance the appraisal process. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The analysis refers to Gary Dessler’s book “Human Resource Management” to address the lack of accurate measurement in current practices. The findings reveal several challenges, including the absence of performance dialogue, difficulties in validating performance realization data, subjective behavioral assessments, and unclear evaluation criteria. In response, this study proposes guidelines to serve as a reference for all stakeholders involved in the appraisal process. Additional recommendations include the use of shared digital storage (e.g., Google Drive) for performance documentation and the development of behavior assessment instruments based on the BARS method to improve objectivity and ease of evaluation. These efforts are expected to support a more accurate and accountable performance appraisal system

Abstract

The increasing risk of flooding in settlements along the Tuweley River, Tolitoli, driven by climate change and environmental degradation, has resulted in more frequent and intense flood events. These conditions have caused significant infrastructure damage, reduced living standards, and substantial socio-economic losses. Addressing this challenge requires integrated solutions that combine flood control measures with interconnected drainage systems and building designs capable of adapting to inundation. This study aims to develop concepts of amphibious architecture and adaptive landscape engineering to enhance regional resilience. Amphibious architecture enables structures to adjust dynamically to fluctuating water levels through flexible design systems. At the same time, adaptive landscape engineering applies ecological principles to mitigate flood impacts and improve water infiltration capacity. The research methodology consists of three main stages: (1) vulnerability assessment using GIS mapping and HEC-RAS simulations, (2) participatory design processes involving local communities through focus group discussions (FGDs) to incorporate indigenous knowledge and practical needs, and (3) small-scale prototype testing to evaluate the performance of proposed solutions. Anticipated outcomes include an amphibious architectural model, nature-based landscape strategies, and policy recommendations for local authorities. Implementation will be pursued through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with key stakeholders, supported by follow-up FGDs to develop strategies for collaboratively creating safer, more resilient, and sustainable settlements.

Abstract

Tempeh is the main product, while soybean husk is a solid waste from the tempeh making process. Soybean husk can be used as a substitute feed for whole or partial concentrate to stimulate growth. The purpose of this study was to determine the changes in the nutritional content of fermented soybean husk (FSSH) using Microbacter Alfaafa-11 (MA-11) with various doses. This study used different concentrations of Microbacter Alfaafa-11 (MA-11) to ascertain changes in the nutritional content of fermented soybean husk (FSSH). Utilizing a completely randomized design (CRD), three repetitions of each of the four treatment kinds were made of the methodology. The medication was administered as a series of MA-11 dosages, with the following amounts included: 0% (control), 0.05%, 0.10%, and 0.15%. The dry matter yield of FSSH, crude fiber content, and crude protein content were the variables that were observed. According to the study's findings, using MA-11 could considerably raise the crude protein content of FSSH (P<0.05) and greatly lower its dry matter yield (P<0.05), but it had no significant influence (P>0.05) on the crude fiber content of FSSH. The conclusion is that fermentation of soybean husks (Glycine max L.) using Alfalfa-11 Microbacteria does not have a significant effect on crude fiber content, but has a significant effect on crude protein content and dry matter yield of fermented soybean husks.
