Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of interactive booklets in history learning, especially World War II material and its role in realizing the values of the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) in class XI students of SMAN 14 Semarang. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study results indicate that using interactive booklets can significantly improve students' understanding of history material. In addition, it also encourages the growth of P5 values in students. This can be seen from the active participation of students in the interview session discussion and their ability to respond to the values of humanity and peace. Thus, interactive booklets are an effective and relevant learning media in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Amid the increasing influence of global economic, technological, and cultural transformations, history education faces challenges in maintaining its relevance and meaningfulness for students. Although previous studies have emphasized the importance of contextual and technology-supported history learning, limited attention has been paid to integrating cloud-based image recognition technology with local public history content, particularly in secondary education in Indonesia. This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of public history–based Image Cloud Recognition (ICR) media in improving students’ historical thinking skills. The research employed a research and development approach using the ADDIE model, combined with a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design. The participants comprised 2 history teachers and 60 high school students in Semarang City, who were divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and historical thinking tests and analyzed using an independent-samples t-test. The findings indicate that the use of ICR media significantly improves students’ historical thinking skills compared to conventional learning, as evidenced by t-values of 8.778 and 10.239, which exceed the critical value (1.672) at p < 0.05. These results suggest that ICR media is effective in facilitating contextual, visually rich, and meaningful history learning, thereby enhancing students’ critical engagement with historical events.

Abstract

Bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan chat GPT sebagai bot Whatsapp dalam meningkatkan efisiensi layanan informasi bagi mahasiswa, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengembangkan panduan pembuatan chat GPT sebagai bot Whatsapp yang dapat digunakan oleh institusi pendidikan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan mengumpulkan data melalui observasi dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemanfaatan chat GPT sebagai bot Wahtsapp dapat meningkatkan efiesnsi layanan informasi bagi mahasiswa, dengan rata-rata waktu tunggu yang lebih singkat dan tingkat kepuasan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan layanan informasi yang disediakan secara manual. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dikembangkan panduan pembuatan chat GPT segaai bot Whatsapp yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu (1) perencanaan, (2) pembuatan, dan (3) pengelolaan. Panduan ini diharapkan dapat membantu institusi.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning motivation and learning outcomes of students in history learning, which are still dominated by lecture-based methods, making the learning process less engaging and less contextual. Therefore, an innovative learning media is needed to increase student engagement, one of which is through the use of the Ranggawarsita Museum Virtual Tour. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Ranggawarsita Museum Virtual Tour media on students' learning motivation and history learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at SMA Teuku Umar Semarang on the Prehistoric material. This research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: an experimental class a and a control class. Data collection techniques included a learning motivation questionnaire and pretest and posttest to measure cognitive learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted through normality tests, homogeneity tests, Independent Sample t-test, and N-Gain Score analysis to determine the improvement in learning outcomes. The results showed that the use of the Ranggawarsita Museum Virtual Tour media had a significant effect on students' motivation and learning outcomes. This is indicated by the t-test significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and an average N-Gain score of 0.8653, which falls into the high category with a percentage of 86.5%, categorized as effective. Therefore, the Ranggawarsita Museum Virtual Tour media is proven to be effective in improving students' motivation and history learning outcomes. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran sejarah yang masih didominasi oleh metode ceramah sehingga proses pembelajaran menjadi kurang menarik dan kurang kontekstual. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan inovasi media pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan media Virtual Tour Museum Ranggawarsita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Virtual Tour Museum Ranggawarsita terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar sejarah peserta didik kelas X SMA Teuku Umar Semarang pada materi Praaksara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket motivasi belajar serta tes pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis Independent Sample t-test, serta uji N-Gain Score untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media Virtual Tour Museum Ranggawarsita berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi uji t sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 serta nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,8653 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan persentase 86,5% yang tergolong efektif. Dengan demikian, media Virtual Tour Museum Ranggawarsita terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar sejarah peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Archaeologival Literacy Corner as an innovative learning resource in enhancing student’s interest in and awareness of history. The primacy focus of the study is to evaluate the transformation of passive literacy into exploratory activites through direct interaction with archaeological artifacts in the classroom. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was conducted through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teacher and students, and a review a documentation regrading the use of artifacts as intructional media. Data analysis was carried out using techniques of data reduction, data presentation, and inductive reasoning to obtain a comprehensive picture of the dynamics of the learning environment. The research findings indicate that the availability of relevant and authentic learning resources is capable of maintaining students learning motivation consistenly. Intellectual esperiences involving the routine handling, observation, and evaluation of archaelogical sources have been shown to transform student’s perceptions of history lessons froma a boring activity into an engaging intellectual journey. The conclusion of this study is that schools serve a strategic role as centers of the dissemination of knowledge and the development of historical awareness through the integration of real artifacts and local knowledge. The consistent use of archaeological literacy tools helps students explore their national identity and sretngthen their emotional connection.

Abstract

History learning in schools tends to remain conventional and insufficiently connected to real-life contexts, resulting in low student engagement and understanding. This study aims to analyze the utilization of the Candi Bogang site in Wonosobo as a contextual learning resource in history education at SMA An-Nida Wonosobo, focusing on the aspects of preparation, implementation, and its impact on students’ understanding. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method through a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive data analysis model. The findings indicate that the use of the site has been systematically planned and implemented through stages including initial knowledge acquisition, field observation, and the processing and presentation of results. Site-based learning has been shown to enhance student engagement, critical thinking skills, and more concrete and contextual understanding. However, its effectiveness has not yet been optimal due to several limitations, including the lack of scientific information about the site, reliance on teacher initiative, and limited institutional support. These findings suggest that the use of local historical sites has significant potential as a learning resource, but requires strengthened collaboration, the development of more comprehensive learning materials, and supportive policies to ensure sustainable and systematic implementation in history education. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah masih cenderung bersifat konvensional dan kurang mengaitkan materi dengan konteks kehidupan nyata, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman dan keaktifan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan Situs Candi Bogang Wonosobo sebagai sumber belajar kontekstual dalam pembelajaran sejarah di SMA An-Nida Wonosobo, meliputi aspek persiapan, pelaksanaan, serta dampaknya terhadap pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif melalui desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan situs telah dirancang secara sistematis dan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan pembelajaran yang meliputi pemberian pengetahuan awal, observasi lapangan, serta pengolahan dan presentasi hasil. Pembelajaran berbasis situs terbukti mampu meningkatkan keaktifan, kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta pemahaman siswa yang lebih konkret dan kontekstual. Namun demikian, efektivitasnya belum optimal karena masih terdapat keterbatasan informasi ilmiah tentang situs, ketergantungan pada inisiatif guru, serta minimnya dukungan institusional. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan situs sejarah lokal memiliki potensi besar sebagai sumber belajar, tetapi memerlukan penguatan kolaborasi, pengembangan sumber belajar, dan dukungan kebijakan agar dapat diimplementasikan secara berkelanjutan dan sistematis dalam pembelajaran sejarah.
