Abstract

Lebih dari 90% pasien dengan penyakit ginjal kronik menerima hemodialisa. Kepatuhan diet pasien hemodialisa merupakan salah satu faktor penentu kualitas hidup pasien. Pemahaman peserta kegiatan ini mengenai diet gagal ginjal kronis lebih dari 50% belum baik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman pasien hemodialisa mengenai diet penyakit gagal ginjal kronis. Metode yang akan dilakukan adalah dengan edukasi (promosi) kesehatan mengenai diet gagal ginjal kronis yang sesuai bagi pasien yang menjalani hemodialisa. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di instalasi hemodialisa di RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Provinsi Lampung, pada tanggal 26 Oktober 2024, dengan peserta sebanyak 40 orang pasien hemodialisa. Hasil evaluasi terhadap pelaksanaan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa 87,5% peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman hingga mencapai kategori baik, 12,5% peserta memiliki pemahaman yang tergolong cukup baik, dan 100% peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman mengenai definisi, patofisiologi dan penyebab penyakit gagal ginjal kronis, gambaran hemodialisa, diet yang sesuai dengan penyakit dan kondisi hemodialisa termasuk pembatasan cairan dan protein, serta contoh menu makanan. Kegiatan peningkatan pemahaman pasien hemodialisa mengenai diet penyakit gagal ginjal kronis ini merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pasien hemodialisa dalam pengelolaan penyakit dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Kegiatan peningkatan pemahaman pasien hemodialisa mengenai diet penyakit gagal ginjal kronis ini terbukti efektif

Abstract

Abnormal uterine bleeding (PUA) is a gynecological disorder that often occurs in women of reproductive age characterized by menstrual disturbances both in number and duration. The prevalence of PUA worldwide ranges from 3-30% with a higher incidence during menarche and perimenopause. In Indonesia, PUA is estimated to occur in 20% of adolescents and 50% of women aged 40-50 years. Management of PUA requires a holistic approach that includes biomedical, psychosocial and behavioral aspects. The family medicine approach is an effective strategy by considering risk factors, lifestyle, and psychosocial conditions of patients. This study used a qualitative descriptive design with a case study. Data were collected through history taking, physical examination, supporting examination, and in-depth interviews. Interventions included medical therapy, health education, lifestyle modification, and psychosocial support. Patient Mrs. F, 35 years old, had complaints of abnormal bleeding outside the menstrual phase since one month ago. Internal risk factors include lack of knowledge related to PUA, inappropriate diet, and low awareness of routine control. While the patient's external factors include lack of family knowledge about PUA, appropriate contraceptive recommendations for patients and lack of family support. After the intervention, there was an increase in patient and family knowledge, improvement in the patient's diet and physical activity, and increased family attention and support for the patient.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The prevalence of diabetes mellitus has increased over time. Patient compliance in taking medication and meal planning (diet) plays a very important role in the success of treatment and controlling blood glucose. The study aims was to determine the association between motivation, self-efficacy and psychological conditions with diet compliance in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This study is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach and conducted from April to October 2023. The research sample was 95 diabetes mellitus type 2 patients in the work area of ​​the Kalirejo Pesawaran Lampung Health Center. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data on motivation, self-efficacy and psychological conditions were taken using a validated questionnaire, and data on diet compliance was assessed by comparing food intake with the nutritional needs of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus based on the 2x24h food recall questionnaire. Data were analyzed using chi square. The results showed that non-compliance diet in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus was 80%. Motivation, self-efficacy and psychological condition are associated to diet compliance in diabetes mellitus patients (p=0.026; p=0.019; p=<0.001). Compliance with diet in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients is very necessary in controlling blood sugar in order to prevent complications. Motivation, self-efficacy and psychological condition of patients play an important role in diet compliance in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients.

Abstract

Perkembangan pendidikan kedokteran dan peningkatan kebutuhan tenaga kesehatan menyebabkan semakin meningkatnya jumlah mahasiswa kedokteran. Pertambahan jumlah mahasiswa menyebabkan pembelajaran kelas besar menjadi pilihan dalam proses pembelajaran. Pembelajaran kelas besar memilki tantangan dalam hal keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan pemberian umpan balik serta penerapan student centered learning. Dalam proses pembelajaran kelas besar, dosen bukan hanya penyampai informasi namun fasilitator pengalaman belajar bagi mahasiswa. Strategi pembelajaran aktif, kolaboratif dalam fasilitasi kelas besar yang dapat menjadi alternatif diantaranya adalah team-based learning, flipped classroom, case-based learning, jigsaw technique dan project-based learning. Integrasi teknologi seperti penggunaan audience response system Mentimeter, dan Kahoot! dalam berbagai strategi ini meningkatkan keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran dan memberi kesempatan untuk melakukan evaluasi dan pemberian umpan balik. Kesiapan dosen untuk merancang desain instruksional yang sesuai dan menggunakan teknologi, kesiapan mahasiswa untuk belajar mandiri dan turut berpartisipasi, serta kesiapan institusi untuk mendukung sarana prasarana dan manajemen sumber daya manusia merupakan faktor yang memiliki peran dalam mendukung keberhasilan fasilitasi kelas besar. Penerapan segera fasilitasi pembelajaran kelas besar yang mendukung student-centered learning ini dengan menggunaan desain terstruktur yang jelas dapat meningkatkan peran aktif mahasiswa dan keberhasilan pembelajaran mahasiswa

Abstract

Anemia in adolescent girls remains a public health problem in Indonesia. Low iron intake is a major contributing factor to anemia, while iron supplementation programs are not optimal due to low compliance. Chicken liver is a source of heme iron with high bioavailability, and sausage is a popular food product among adolescents. The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of consuming selected formula chicken liver sausage on increasing hemoglobin and iron levels in anemic adolescent girls. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test control group design conducted on 30 anemic female students divided into an intervention group (n=15) and a control group (n=14). The intervention group was given formula F6 chicken liver sausage for four weeks. Hemoglobin (Hb) and iron (Fe) levels were measured before and after the intervention. Analysis was performed using paired t-tests, Wilcoxon, and independent t-tests. The results showed a significant increase in Fe levels in the intervention group (Z = -2.272; p = 0.023), while the control group showed no significant changes (p = 0.272). Hb levels increased significantly in the control group (p = 0.002) but not in the intervention group (p = 0.057). Intergroup tests showed a significant difference in ΔFe (p = 0.026) but not in ΔHb (p = 0.308). Consumption of F6 formula chicken liver sausage effectively increased iron levels but did not significantly increase hemoglobin levels within the four weeks of intervention.

Abstract

Anemia merupakan masalah kesehatan yang diderita hampir semua kelompok rentan, termasuk anak usia prasekolah. Anemia pada anak usia prasekolah seringkali tidak terdeteksi dan cenderung diabaikan. Faktor risiko anemia pada anak usia prasekolah antara lain asupan makan inadekuat, kecacingan, pola asuh dan lainnya. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah skrining (deteksi dini) anemia dan edukasi terkait anemia pada anak usia prasekolah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di PAUD “A” Desa Muara Putih Kecamatan Natar Lampung Selatan, pada tanggal 6 Oktober 2022. Peserta sebanyak 37 orang anak yang merupakan murid PAUD dan 37 orangtua anak. Metode yang akan dilakukan adalah dengan skrining anemia dan edukasi kesehatan mengenai anemia pada anak usia prasekolah. Peserta kegiatan adalah 18 orang (48,6%) anak laki-laki dan 19 orang (51,4%) anak perempuan. Hasil pemeriksaan skrining anemia didapatkan terdapat 5 peserta (13,5%) yang mengalami anemia. Pelaksaan edukasi kesehatan dilakukan segera setelah skrining anemia, terutama pada orangtua anak yang menderita anemia. Edukasi terkait tentang definisi, faktor risiko, cara pencegahan dan penanggulangan anemia, pola makan yang meningkatkan penyerapan dan menghambat absorbsi zat besi serta dampak anemia pada anak. Kegiatan skrining dan edukasi anemia pada anak usia prasekolah ini merupakan kegiatan yang perlu dilakukan secara rutin, sehingga anemia bisa dicegah, dideteksi dini dan ditanggulangi secara cepat dan tepat.

Abstract

AbstrakMasalah gizi di Indonesia, khususnya di wilayah pedesaan seperti Desa Cipadang, Kabupaten Pesawaran, masih menjadi tantangan serius. Rendahnya pengetahuan orangtua tentang pentingnya gizi seimbang dan pola makan sehat berkontribusi terhadap tingginya angka stunting. Program Makan Bergizi Gratis yang diterapkan pemerintah merupakan langkah strategis untuk membangun sumber daya manusia yang sehat, aktif, dan produktif menuju Generasi Emas 2045. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 30 Agustus 2025 di Balai Desa Cipadang, Kabupaten Pesawaran dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 30 orang tua. Kegiatan pengabdian berupa kegiatan edukasi mengenai gizi seimbang dan inovasi menu sehat. Evaluasi kegiatan diberikan melalui pre-test dan post-test. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan sebanyak 86,67% peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan terkait gizi seimbang dan inovasi menu sehat. Nilai rata-rata dan standar deviasi skor pengetahuan orang tua sebelum edukasi yaitu 71,67 ± 13,91 poin dan sesudah edukasi sebesar 86,63 ± 11,59 poin. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan edukasi ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap pentingnya penerapan pola makan bergizi seimbang dan beragam. Pengetahuan yang meningkat ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal dalam membentuk kebiasaan makan sehat di lingkungan keluarga. Kata kunci: edukasi; gizi seimbang; menu sehat; pengetahuan orang tua. AbstractNutritional problems in Indonesia, especially in rural areas such as Cipadang Village, Pesawaran Regency, remain a serious challenge. Low parental knowledge about the importance of balanced nutrition and healthy eating patterns contributes to high rates of stunting. The Free Nutritious Meal Program launched by the government is a strategic step to build healthy, active, and productive human resources towards the Golden Generation of 2045. This community service activity was carried out on August 30, 2025, at the Cipadang Village Hall, Pesawaran Regency, with 30 parents participating. The community service activity consisted of educational activities regarding balanced nutrition and healthy menu innovations. Evaluation of the activity was given through pre-tests and post-tests. The analytical method used in this activity was descriptive analysis. The results of the community service showed that 86.67% of participants experienced an increase in knowledge regarding balanced nutrition and healthy menu innovations. The average value and standard deviation of parental knowledge scores before education were 71.67 ± 13.91 points and after education were 86.63 ± 11.59 points. This demonstrates that the educational activity successfully increased participants understanding of the importance of adopting a balanced and varied diet. This increased knowledge is expected to be the first step in establishing healthy eating habits within the family. Keywords: education; balanced nutrition; healthy menu; parental knowledge.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Hipertensi (tekanan darah sistolik ≥140 mmHg dan/atau diastolik ≥90 mmHg) menjadi krisis kesehatan global dengan 1,13 miliar kasus, sementara di Indonesia prevalensinya 29,2-30,8%. Tren konsumsi kopi meningkat di tengah perdebatan perannya sebagai faktor risiko hipertensi melalui vasokonstriksi akibat kafein. Tujuan: Tinjauan ini menganalisis pengaruh konsumsi kopi terhadap risiko hipertensi. Metode: Tinjauan pustaka kualitatif dari Google Scholar dan PubMed (2020-2025) dengan kata kunci "hipertensi," "tekanan darah," "konsumsi kopi." Populasi seluruh studi relevan nasional/internasional; sampel 10 artikel terpilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi. Instrumen tabel analisis literatur; analisis deskriptif-komparatif dengan model Emzir. Hasil: Enam studi tunjukkan hubungan signifikan positif (p<0,05), terutama ≥3 cangkir/hari pada lansia (kenaikan SBP/DBP 5-15 mmHg); empat studi tidak temukan hubungan akibat toleransi kafein. Kesimpulan: Konsumsi kopi sedang-tinggi tingkatkan risiko hipertensi pada kelompok rentan, meski bervariasi berdasarkan dosis dan demografi.

Abstract

The prevalence of hypertension has continued to increase in recent years, highlighting the importance of dietary compliance among patients. This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing the dietary compliance of patients with hypertension. The study procedures were carried out using an observational analytical method with a cross-sectional design from April to October 2023 in the working area of the Kedaton Public Health Center in Bandar Lampung City. The sample population comprised 100 patients diagnosed with hypertension for at least the last 3 months who agreed to participate. The study variables were age, sex, knowledge, education, family income, attitude, motivation, self-efficacy, family support, food availability, psychological factors, health worker support, and diet compliance. Data were collected through interviews and validated questionnaires. Diet compliance was measured based on 2×24-hour food recall and compared with the standards (Recommended Daily Allowance). The data obtained were analyzed using chi-square and logistic regression analyses. The results showed that only 19% of patients with hypertension were compliant with the diet. In addition, knowledge, level of education, family income, attitude, motivation, self-efficacy, family support, food availability, psychological factors, and health worker support influenced diet compliance in patients with hypertension (p<0.05). The most influential factors were education and family support. The results of this study show the importance of educational interventions and increasing the role of the family in supporting the successful diet management of hypertensive patients to maintain normal blood pressure and prevent complications.

Abstract

Anemia among adolescent girls remains a public health challenge that has not been fully resolved, particularly because this condition has wide-ranging impacts on various aspects of adolescents’ lives from impaired growth and development, decreased concentration during learning, reduced daily productivity, to an increased risk of reproductive system disorders. The aim of this study was to identify the determinants of anemia among female students at SMA Negeri 3 Bengkulu City. The study was designed using an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 131 tenth-grade students aged 15 to 17 years were selected as participants through simple random sampling. Hemoglobin levels were directly measured using a rapid-test–based Hb meter. The variables examined included nutritional status, chronic energy deficiency, duration of menstruation, adequacy of nutrient intake, level of compliance in consuming iron supplement tablets, and the extent of peer support received. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test for bivariate analysis and the backward Wald method of multiple logistic regression for multivariate analysis. The study found that one in four respondents (25.2%) was confirmed to have anemia. Through multivariate modeling, it was revealed that four factors significantly influenced the occurrence of anemia nutritional status, duration of menstruation, adequacy of protein intake, and the presence of social support from peers with nutritional status emerging as the strongest predictor. Therefore, anemia prevention interventions should prioritize comprehensive improvement of nutritional status, increased consumption of adequate protein, monitoring of menstrual patterns and duration, as well as empowerment of peer networks as health support agents within the school environment. ABSTRAK Anemia pada remaja putri masih menjadi tantangan kesehatan masyarakat yang belum sepenuhnya teratasi, terutama karena kondisi ini berdampak luas pada berbagai aspek kehidupan remaja, mulai dari terhambatnya tumbuh kembang, menurunnya daya konsentrasi saat belajar, berkurangnya produktivitas harian, hingga timbulnya risiko gangguan pada sistem reproduksi. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menentukan kejadian anemia di kalangan siswi SMA Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu. Studi dirancang menggunakan metode observasional analitik berpendekatan potong lintang (cross-sectional). Sebanyak 131 siswi kelas X dengan rentang usia 15 hingga 17 tahun dipilih sebagai partisipan melalui teknik pengambilan sampel acak sederhana. Kadar hemoglobin diukur secara langsung menggunakan alat Hb meter berbasis rapid test. Variabel yang diteliti meliputi status gizi, kondisi kekurangan energi kronik, lama hari menstruasi, kecukupan asupan zat gizi, tingkat kepatuhan dalam mengonsumsi suplemen tablet tambah darah, serta sejauh mana dukungan yang diperoleh dari teman sebaya. Pengolahan data menggunakan uji chi-square untuk analisis bivariat dan regresi logistik berganda metode backward Wald untuk analisis multivariat. Studi ini menemukan bahwa satu dari empat responden (25,2%) terkonfirmasi mengalami anemia. Melalui pemodelan multivariat, terungkap bahwa empat faktor secara bermakna memengaruhi kejadian anemia, yakni status gizi, lama menstruasi, kecukupan asupan protein, dan keberadaan dukungan sosial dari teman sebaya, dengan status gizi menempati posisi sebagai prediktor paling kuat. Dengan demikian, intervensi pencegahan anemia hendaknya diprioritaskan pada perbaikan status gizi secara menyeluruh, peningkatan konsumsi protein yang memadai, pemantauan pola dan durasi siklus menstruasi, serta pemberdayaan jaringan teman sebaya sebagai agen dukungan kesehatan di lingkungan sekolah.
