Abstract

Background: Hospital X, a state-owned enterprise, aims to increase the ratio of nurses with a Bachelor of Nursing degree to 30:70, but the current ratio is reversed, necessitating an increase in this number. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the influence of social support, and hospital organizational support mediated by self-concept factors on the motivation of nurses to continue formal education. Methods: Quantitative research and a questionnaire, with a 4-point Likert Scale were distributed. There were 489 respondents and 320 respondents met the inclusion criteria. The data was analyzed using three-box method and SEM-PLS. Results: Social support and self-concept independently influence the motivation of the nurses to pursue a Bachelor’s degree. However, organization support does not affect the motivation of nurses. The role of self-concept as a mediator to motivate nurses is significantly positive. Social support and organization support; each have a positive influence on self-concept.  Conclusion: Hospital X must calculate the needs of qualified nurses with a Bachelor of Nursing degree and follow it with talent scouting, mentoring, and leadership training programs to improve nurses’ self-concept. Providing scholarships or tuition assistance can increase the perception of organization support, which further increases commitment and loyalty of the nurses. Recommendation: The equalization Bachelor of Nursing degree program must be improved to utilize the potential of nurses who have already obtained the degree independently. Further study to explore the type of organization support and other motivational factors is also needed

Abstract

Patient safety is a top priority in hospital services, one of which is achieved through the implementation of early detection systems such as the Early Warning Score (EWS) to prevent the deterioration of patients’ clinical conditions. However, nurse compliance in applying EWS remains a challenge, as observed at Annisa Hospital Cikarang. Objective:To analyze the influence of knowledge and supervision techniques on compliance with EWS implementation, with work attitude as an intervening variable. This study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The index analysis was conducted using the Three Box Method, and data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS). The population comprised all nurses working in the Emergency Department (ED) and inpatient wards at Annisa Hospital Cikarang. A total sampling technique was applied, resulting in 100 respondents. The findings revealed that, simultaneously, knowledge, supervision techniques, and work attitude significantly influenced compliance with EWS implementation. Partially, knowledge and supervision techniques also had a positive effect on work attitude. Furthermore, work attitude was proven to mediate the effect of knowledge and supervision techniques on nurse compliance. The Three Box Method analysis indicated that although the compliance index was categorized as high, weaknesses persisted in the dimensions of professional responsibility and timely reporting

Abstract

The growing awareness of skin care has led to the rise of many sunscreen brands, especially in tropical countries like Indonesia, making it vital to understand factors affecting consumer purchase intent through digital marketing strategies. This research analyzes the influence of social media marketing on purchase intention, directly and through the mediating roles of brand image and brand trust. Using a quantitative method, an online questionnaire was distributed to 124 active TikTok users who had seen promotions of Unitary sunscreen on the platform. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS–SEM) with SmartPLS4 software. Results show that social media marketing via TikTok significantly strengthens brand image and brand trust in Unitary sunscreen. Creative, consistent, and lifestyle-relevant promotions help form positive perceptions and increase consumer confidence in product quality, driving purchase intent. The findings also reveal that direct calls to purchase are less effective without a strong brand image and brand trust. Therefore, digital promotion success depends on the brand’s ability to build emotional connections with consumers. This research contributes theoretically to digital marketing literature and offers practical implications for skincare industry players aiming to design more effective and targeted promotional strategies. It underscores the critical role of social media marketing in shaping consumer behavior through brand image and brand trust, especially in competitive markets like sunscreen products.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, especially those offering culturally unique products, face challenges in sustaining and growing their businesses. Digital marketing, particularly through social media, presents an opportunity to foster the development of these enterprises. However, the adoption of digital marketing by MSMEs in Kampoeng Cyber Jogja remains underexplored. This qualitative research aims to assess the extent of digital marketing adoption among MSMEs in Kampoeng Cyber Jogja and identify the factors that support or hinder its use. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Kampoeng Cyber pioneers, MSME actors, the Head of RW09, and a digital marketing expert. The findings show that MSMEs in Kampoeng Cyber Jogja use social media for advertising, sharing product information, customer engagement, and selling products. Supporting factors include high-quality products and strong entrepreneurial motivation, while hindering factors include limited knowledge, slow adaptation to technology, resource constraints, and disorganized bookkeeping. This study suggests that MSMEs in Kampoeng Cyber Jogja need to set more explicit business goals to fully leverage digital marketing for scaling their businesses. Further research is needed to explore the long-term implications of digital marketing adoption and its impact on MSME sustainability and growth.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of transformational leadership on innovative work behavior at Jakarta Woman and Child Hospital, involving both medical and non-medical staff. With 281 respondents, the research uses purposive sampling for individuals with over a year of experience working directly or indirectly with patients. Utilizing Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), the analysis reveals a positive influence of transformational leadership on innovative work behavior and job involvement. However, no significant relationships are found between transformational leadership and psychological capital, and between job involvement and innovative work behavior. Additionally, psychological capital does not act as a mediator in the relationship between transformational leadership and innovative work behavior. Managerially, enhancing transformational leadership is vital for fostering innovation and job involvement in hospitals, recommending strategies to improve psychological capital through positive work environments and training programs. Despite valuable insights, the study's limitations warrant further research for a broader understanding and identification of influencing factors within the healthcare industry.

Abstract

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, in September 2020, the number of domestic and foreign tourists visiting Indonesia decreased by 88.9% to 153,498 people from 1.38 million people in the same period in 2019. The Research Objective is to examine the effect of Employee Engagement on Innovative Work Behavior, which requires Creativity as a mediator, and the effect of Remote Working as a moderator in the Tourism Service Industry. The study was carried out with the survey method using online questionnaires distributed from January 2022 to February 2022. The participants in this study are practitioners in the tourism service industry who are also members of the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI). The participants came from 55 cities in Indonesia and worked remotely during the pandemic. First, this study shows good engagement with the employee does not increase innovative work behavior directly. Second, good employee engagement can increase creativity from the employee. Third, good employee creativity can foster innovative work behavior. Fourth, remote working does not moderate the correlation between employee engagement and creativity. Fifth, employee creativity mediates the correlation between employee engagement and innovative work behavior.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of compensation and organizational climate on work attitudes mediated by nurse motivation at Murni Teguh Sudirman Hospital, Jakarta. This research uses a survey method, namely research that takes samples from a population using a questionnaire as the main data collection tool to test the symptoms or phenomena observed. This research uses a causality design based on a cross-sectional time dimension, namely measurements of the independent and dependent variables are carried out simultaneously. The unit of analysis is the individual, the data analysis method uses regression. The number of samples obtained that met the inclusion criteria was 55 samples. Based on the research results, it was found that compensation, organizational climate and motivation simultaneously have an influence on work attitudes, but motivation cannot be an intervening variable. The implications of this research will theoretically prove the influence of research variables and managerially can improve the compensation system in hospitals.
