Abstract

The Emergency Department (ED) plays a pivotal role as the frontline of hospital services, requiring rapid and accurate response to ensure patient safety and optimal care outcomes. This study aims to analyze the influence of nurse competence and inter-team coordination on the effectiveness of patient transfers from ED to inpatient units, with nurse work motivation as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed with hypothesis testing using path analysis (Structural Equation Modeling - SEM). The study was conducted at Graha Juanda Hospital, Bekasi, involving a sample of 55 nurses selected through total sampling from both the ED and inpatient departments.Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires, and data analysis was performed using SPSS 26 The results demonstrate that nurse competence and team coordination significantly affect service effectiveness, both directly and indirectly through work motivation. The findings also indicate that low work motivation—linked to factors such as limited professional development opportunities and unbalanced workloads—contributes to delays in transferring patients to inpatient care, with the average Length of Stay (LOS) exceeding six hours. The study concludes that improving nurse competence, strengthening inter-team coordination, and enhancing nurse motivation are critical strategies to improve the quality and timeliness of emergency services. This integrated internal performance approach is vital for reducing LOS in the ED and ensuring seamless, patient-centered care transitions.

Abstract

Factors related to the quality of a hospital's service are the Job Attitude of health workers with a good nurse's Job Attitude, it can also create good health services for patients, where one of the dimensions of Job Attitude is job satisfaction. Employees who do not get job satisfaction will not achieve psychological satisfaction and eventually negative behavior arises. Conversely, employees who get job satisfaction will work well, enthusiastically, actively, thereby encouraging work passion and being able to perform better. Job Attitude/work attitude can be reflected in 4 indicators, namely leaving/exit, aspirations/voice, loyalty/loyalty, and neglect/neglect. Based on a report from the Human Resources (HR) unit for 2022, in the last 1 year there were 15 out of 66 nurses (± 23%) at Murni Teguh Sudirman Hospital Jakarta who resigned which according to Hasibuan (2012) the turnover should not be more than 10% . Even with the easing of the Covid-19 pandemic, the nurse turnover rate is getting higher. Researchers conducted a search, namely that more and more nurses felt that the compensation provided by the hospital was not in accordance with the workload given, the organizational climate was less supportive in professional development so that it had an impact on decreased work motivation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of compensation and organizational climate on job attitudes mediated by the motivation of nurses at Murni Teguh Sudirman Hospital, Jakarta. This study uses a survey method, which is research that takes samples from a population using a questionnaire as the principal data collection tool to examine the observed symptoms or phenomena. This study uses a causality design based on the cross-sectional time dimension, namely measurements of the independent and dependent variables are carried out at the same time. The unit of analysis is the individual, the data analysis method uses Regression. The number of samples obtained and fulfilling the inclusion criteria was 55 samples. Based on the research results, it was found that compensation, organizational climate and motivation simultaneously had an influence on job attitude, but motivation could not be an intervening variable. The implications of this research in theory will prove the influence of research variables and managerially can improve the compensation system in hospitals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership, digital transformation, supply chain collaboration, and innovation on collaborative advantage and the performance of type C hospitals in Java, with government subsidies as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative approach and PLS-SEM analysis on 50 hospitals, the results show that most direct relationships between variables are insignificant, except for the influence of innovation on collaborative advantage and the influence of collaborative advantage on hospital performance, which are proven to be significant. In addition, government subsidies only play a significant role in strengthening the relationship between supply chain collaboration and collaborative advantage. These results confirm that collaborative advantage is a key factor in improving hospital performance, with innovation as its main driver. Meanwhile, transformational leadership and digital transformation have not shown a strong direct influence due to bureaucratic limitations and implementation readiness. These findings also indicate that government subsidies are more effective in the early stages of establishing collaborations, rather than directly improving performance. This study highlights the importance of external collaboration strategies and innovation in improving the competitiveness of public hospitals, as well as the importance of adapting global theories to the local context in developing health policies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Patient safety is a top priority in hospital services, one of which is achieved through the implementation of early detection systems such as the Early Warning Score (EWS) to prevent the deterioration of patients’ clinical conditions. However, nurse compliance in applying EWS remains a challenge, as observed at Annisa Hospital Cikarang. Objective:To analyze the influence of knowledge and supervision techniques on compliance with EWS implementation, with work attitude as an intervening variable. This study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The index analysis was conducted using the Three Box Method, and data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS). The population comprised all nurses working in the Emergency Department (ED) and inpatient wards at Annisa Hospital Cikarang. A total sampling technique was applied, resulting in 100 respondents. The findings revealed that, simultaneously, knowledge, supervision techniques, and work attitude significantly influenced compliance with EWS implementation. Partially, knowledge and supervision techniques also had a positive effect on work attitude. Furthermore, work attitude was proven to mediate the effect of knowledge and supervision techniques on nurse compliance. The Three Box Method analysis indicated that although the compliance index was categorized as high, weaknesses persisted in the dimensions of professional responsibility and timely reporting

Abstract

The growing awareness of skin care has led to the rise of many sunscreen brands, especially in tropical countries like Indonesia, making it vital to understand factors affecting consumer purchase intent through digital marketing strategies. This research analyzes the influence of social media marketing on purchase intention, directly and through the mediating roles of brand image and brand trust. Using a quantitative method, an online questionnaire was distributed to 124 active TikTok users who had seen promotions of Unitary sunscreen on the platform. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS–SEM) with SmartPLS4 software. Results show that social media marketing via TikTok significantly strengthens brand image and brand trust in Unitary sunscreen. Creative, consistent, and lifestyle-relevant promotions help form positive perceptions and increase consumer confidence in product quality, driving purchase intent. The findings also reveal that direct calls to purchase are less effective without a strong brand image and brand trust. Therefore, digital promotion success depends on the brand’s ability to build emotional connections with consumers. This research contributes theoretically to digital marketing literature and offers practical implications for skincare industry players aiming to design more effective and targeted promotional strategies. It underscores the critical role of social media marketing in shaping consumer behavior through brand image and brand trust, especially in competitive markets like sunscreen products.
