Abstract

ABSTRACT.This study aims to explore how the role of job crafting on teacher performance during the Covid pandemic through burnout and work life balance. The responden was 211 high school teachers in the West Java. Model Data collection using an online questionnaire with the method of Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis. The results of this research show that job crafting has a positive effect on performance and work life balance while burnout has negative effect. Teacher performance is negatively affected by burnout and positively influenced by work life balance. Burnout and work life balance have been shown to partially mediate the relationship between job crafting and teacher performance, but the effect of job crafting on teacher performance is better directly without going through burnout and work life balance.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the shape of the world of work. This change makes 100% of universities in Indonesia conduct online learning, but some academic administrative activities are still carried out on campus. With this condition, higher education management faces two things that must be considered, namely the health of employees who are still working on campus, and teaching staff who work at home. The purpose of this study is to make the right size in measuring the Safety Management System in Higher Education in dealing with the threat of the virus and to examine the role of Management Commitment to the implementation of the Safety Management System and to examine the role of Safety Culture in the implementation of the Safety Management System. This research is a survey research using a questionnaire, with data analysis method using Path Analysis and Binomial Regression and validity test using Confirmatory Factor Analysis. From the results of this study, it can be seen that a high Safety Culture cannot improve Safety Performance in Higher Education during the pandemic, which is different from Management Commitment and the Safety Management System which are the main determinants of employee Safety Performance during the pandemic. Management's commitment can indeed improve employee Safety Performance during a pandemic, but in improving Safety Performance during a pandemic, performance will be higher if the management commitment pushes the Safety Management System first, then it will increase the organization's Safety Performance with the virus pandemic.

Abstract

Drinking water is the livelihood of many people, therefore inorder to meet these needs, the drinking water management industry must be able to provide an excellent services in every aspect of quality, quantity and continuity. To achieve this goal, the organizational need a competent employees, so they could run the company effectively. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of human resource development programs that is training, talent management, and performance management on competencies that have an impact on organizational effectiveness in the drinking water management industry. The sampling method is purposive sampling, that have 252 sample of employees who work in drinking water management industry. This type of research is deductive with data collection by distributing questionnaires. The analytical method used is the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of these study conclude that there is an effect of training on competencies, there is an effect of talent management on competencies, there is an effect of performance management on competencies, and there is an effect of competent employees to an organizational effectiveness. The role of employee competence as a media variable has been proven to influence the role of training, talent management, and performance management to increase organizational effectiveness. The implication of this research is that a leaders should provide training and development to improve their employee competencies, so that they can increase organizational effectiveness in order to improve services to the community in terms of drinking water services

Abstract

This study aimed to figure out the effects of job autonomy, work-life balance, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction as mediating variables. This research was conducted with a survey using a digital questionnaire distributed in June -July 2020 to 170 employees who work in the life insurance industry. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). This study showed that good job autonomy increased work-life balance. It also increased job satisfaction. Good work-life balance increased job satisfaction and good work-life increased organizational commitment through job satisfaction. Abstract

Employees who work in the health services are no exception; public health centers tend to experience high role conflict. Several of the previous studies and articles have raised the issue of role conflict and transformational leadership. The organization must set a strategy so then role conflict and leadership style do not become a problem that can, in time, become an obstacle in the organization. The purpose of this study is to determine if role conflict and transformational leadership style tied into job satisfaction is mediated by work stress. The study was conducted through the survey method using a questionnaire distributed in August - September 2019. The respondents in this study totaled 185 health service employees who worked in the health centers in Jakarta, Indonesia. The data was analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results showed that there was a relationship between role conflict and job stress, that there was a relationship between job stress and job satisfaction, that there was a relationship between transformational leadership style and job satisfaction but that there was no relationship between role conflict and job satisfaction or between transformational leadership style and work stress in the health service employees.

Abstract

One of the high turnover rates in the hospital occurs in nurses. More attention is needed because turnover can be detrimental to the organization, in terms of cost, resources, and effectiveness of nursing. The research objective is to obtain empirical evidence whether there is an effect of compensation, job stress and job satisfaction on turnover intention at Ananda Bekasi Hospital in 2020. The research method is to use causality design based on the time dimension of one short study. The sample used was saturated sampling, that is, the entire population was sampled for 100 inpatient nurses. The data analysis method uses Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The results found no negative and significant effect between compensation for turnover intention. There is a positive and significant effect between work stress on turnover intention. There is a negative and significant effect between job satisfaction on turnover intention, and there is an influence between compensation, job stress and job satisfaction on turnover intention. Research findings, that the variable that most influences turnover intention is work stress variable. Managerial implications are expected Ananda Bekasi Hospital to calculate salaries based on the remuneration system, the appropriate assignment system, conduct workload analysis and nurse career development

Abstract

Abstract : Employee commitment and engagement is one of the keys to organizational success. Furthermore,  in a higher education instituion, it is important to measure the commitment and engagement of lecturers in it in an effort to improve quality and performance. However, there is no specific measurement to measure the level of commitment and special attachment to lecturers. The purpose of this study is to find alternative instruments, measurements, and scales for surveys that can measure the level of lecturer commitment to the profession and their higher education appropriately. The study was conducted by survey method, of 136 lecturers in Jakarta and surrounding areas. Initial measurements used 13 item, which were then processed by RASCH modeling. The RASCH model analysis showed that there were 11 item measures that could be suggested for further research in measuring the commitment and attachment of lecturers, of which these 11 items were not biased towards age, educational background and lecturer status, but were biased towards the length of service. In addition to the items, the results of the study show that the measurement of the items can be done with a four-level Likert scale. The implication obtained from the results of this study is that these 11 measures can be used for research that measures the level of commitment and attachment of lecturers. The implication of this research is the measurement items for commitment and engagement of lecturers can be used in further research and analysis. Abstrak: Komitmen dan keterlibatan karyawan adalah salah satu kunci keberhasilan organisasi. Selanjutnya, dalam lembaga pendidikan tinggi, penting untuk mengukur komitmen dan keterlibatan dosen di dalamnya dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kinerja. Namun, tidak ada pengukuran khusus untuk mengukur tingkat komitmen dan keterikatan khusus kepada dosen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan instrumen alternatif, pengukuran, dan skala untuk survei yang dapat mengukur tingkat komitmen dosen terhadap profesi dan pendidikan tinggi mereka secara tepat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei, dari 136 dosen di Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Pengukuran awal menggunakan 13 item, yang kemudian diproses oleh pemodelan RASCH. Analisis model RASCH menunjukkan bahwa ada 11 item ukuran yang dapat disarankan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut dalam mengukur komitmen dan keterikatan dosen, di mana 11 item ini tidak bias terhadap usia, latar belakang pendidikan dan status dosen, tetapi bias terhadap panjangnya. layanan. Selain item, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengukuran item dapat dilakukan dengan skala Likert empat tingkat. Implikasi yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa 11 langkah ini dapat digunakan untuk penelitian yang mengukur tingkat komitmen dan keterikatan dosen. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah item pengukuran untuk komitmen dan keterlibatan dosen dapat digunakan dalam penelitian dan analisis lebih lanjut.

Abstract

The barrier between employees, or the barrier between employees and supervisors in the marketing agency context has been a serious issue that causes detrimental consequences, such as demotivation, degrading productivity, and reduced work performance among employees. The importance of the supervisor and co-worker support has now become a crucial topic, as it is proven to be advantageous for organizations. This research was conducted using questionnaires back in December 2019 until January 2020, in which the respondents consisted of 230 marketing agencies of financial services in DKI Jakarta. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM). There are some significant results in this research. Firstly, there is an association between supervisor support and employee motivation. Secondly, there is an association between co-worker support and work motivation. Next, there is an association between co-worker support and job satisfaction. Fourth, there is an association between work motivation and job satisfaction. Moreover, there is an association between work motivation and employee performance. Lastly, there is an association between job satisfaction and employee performance. However, there is no significant association between supervisor support and job satisfaction.

Abstract

Pemahaman terhadap penggunaan media sosial bagi para pengusaha kecil di daerah pedesaan (remote area) merupakan hal yang penting dilakukan dalam rangka mengembangkan usaha yang dikelola agar dapat menjangkau konsumen yang lebih banyak. Permasalahannya adalah tingkat literasi digital dan pengetahuan terhadap penggunaan media sosial untuk pemanfaatan kegiatan usaha masih sangat kurang.Para pengusaha di daerah pedesaan belum memanfaatkan perangkat teknologi seperti software dan applikasi untukmengembangkan usahany. Pengelolaan usaha masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga penerimaan pendapatan dari usahanya masih sangat terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan terhadap kelompok pengusaha skala kecil untuk memahami bagaimana memanfaatkan teknologi dalam mengembangkan usahanya.Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah metode daring, bekerjasama dengan sekolah setempat yang dapat menyediakan fasilitas yang dapat diakses oleh para pengusaha. Pelatihan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk presentasi daring yang menjelaskan bagaimana membangun website, yang dapat mengakses berbagai media sosial seperti instagram, facebook, dan email. Pelatihan dilakukan secara bertahap untuk setiap materi. Hasil yang dicapai setelah dilakukan3(tiga) tahap pelatihan selama bulan Juni dan Juli adalah para pengusaha skala kecil memiliki kemampuan pemahaman lirterasi digital dalam mengembangkan usaha serta pengusaha telah mampu mengenal berbagai aplikasi dan mampu meng upload secara mandiri produk-produk yang dihasilkannya. Implikasi dari pelatihan ini adalah ruang lingkup dan jumlah masyarakat yang mengetahui produk yang ditawarkan oleh pengusaha kecil meningkat sekitar 20-30% diikuti dengan meningkatnya tingkat penjualan (omzet) yang dapat dilakukan rata-rata 10%. Kata Kunci : Literasi Digital, Usaha Kecil, Remote Area, Applikasi

Abstract

The purpose of this study aimed to provide an overview of the relationship between transformational leadership and job satisfaction level experienced by employees. Leadership is an organization or institution refers to the style of its leaders in providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating employees. To achieve the result, the data has been collected through by questionnaires distributed online to 120 employees working in Tangerang from various companies was used. Furthermore, the data observation was analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Lisrel. The results of this study showed that transformational leadership is a special leadership style that is applied by superiors that motivates their subordinates to appear at a higher level by inspiring them, offering in intellectual challenges also paying attention to their individual needs. Job satisfaction strongly refers to employee perceptions of their work environment, relationships between coworkers, income and promotion opportunities. Therefore, this study has some conclusions that employee leadership styles are likely to be influenced by several factors, including demographic characteristics. Therefore, the reciprocal relationship between organizational culture and transformational leadership in job satisfaction has been sucessful.
