Abstract

Early Childhood Education is an important program that must be carried out within the scope of the community who realized that the growth and development of children are important and needs attention. In this research, it has been determined PKBM Lentera Bangsa located in the PKBM Lentera Bangsa, Margahayu Selatan Village, Margahayu Sub-District, Bandung District to be the location of the research. Based on the identification results, it is found that the problem in the community is the difficulty of the PKBM institution in determining the appropriate parenting education model for parents of students in the Similar PAUD Units that provides a sustainable impact with community participation. Because there is a need for a solution to this problem, a parenting education program is implemented with the aim of increasing the capacity of community participation in the PKBM Lentera Bangsa. The target of this program is the parents of students in the Similar PAUD Units, PAUD teachers in Margahayu sub-district and Margaasih sub-district. The method of implementation is in the form of identifying program needs, preparing program plan recommendations, preparing plans and socializing program plans, implementing, evaluating and following up on programs. The results obtained are the discovery of a parenting education delivery model in the form of seminars for parents and teachers of Similar PAUD Units so that increasing community participation capacity is ongoing or can be carried out sustainably for the surrounding community.

Abstract

Masalah yang ada pada tutor di PKBM Sanggar Juang Desa Cirejag antara lain: 1) keterbatasan pengetahuan dalam memberikan pembelajaran keterampilan bidang pertanian; dan 2) kurangnya pengetahuan dalam metode pembelajaran bahasa Inggris sebagai salah satu mata pelajaran penting di era globalisasi sekarang. Sedangkan masalah bagi petani dan warga Desa Cirejag, antara lain kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat tentang teknologi pertanian yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk peningkatan usahatani dan pendapatan mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan melalui pelatihan tutor yang ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi tutor pendidikan kesetaraan dengan memberikan pelatihan beberapa jenis keterampilan di bidang pertanian dan pelatihan metode pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan pelatihan tutor dilakukan dengan pendekatan Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) atau learning by doing. Hasil kegiatan ini yaitu meningkatnya kompetensi tutor dalam metode pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dan beberapa jenis keterampilan di bidang pertanian serta keterampilan lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui pelatihan tutor di Desa Cirejag telah meningkatkan kompetensi tutor pendidikan kesetaraan berbasis pertanian dan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan warga masyarakat.

Abstract

This research aims to get an overview of the Student-Led Conference (SLC) method in developing the character of children's self-reliance in The Pelopor Nature School of Rancaekek Subdistrict, Bandung Regency. The research uses qualitative research. The method used to analyze the data is a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were group B children, consisting of 15 children, parents of 5 students and two teachers. Research involves gathering information by observation, interviewing, and documentation. The data comes from formal documents such as observation sheets, and informal observations. A data analysis process using Miles & Huberman's interactive data collection, data visualization, data reduction, and drawing of a conclusion. The study showed that students who have been taught by the SLC method gain a certain amount of self-reliance. This is indicated by the child's confidence, courage, willingness to take risks and pride in doing their work. Keywords: Early Childhood,  Student-Led Conference Method, Self-reliance

Abstract

This research is motivated by how the growth of character education in the family environment during distance learning from home. One of the important concepts of the role of parents in the process of character education of children during the Covid-19 pandemic is to be a good facilitator for children in learning the three main material points of character education, namely issues of belief or religious education, problems of social interaction or social education, and the problem of habituation of good activities or moral education on character values such as (religious, disciplined, creative, independent, and responsible). The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects of this study were teachers, parents of school students in Nunuk Village, Cililin Village, Cililin District, West Bandung Regency as many as 5 people’s. The results of this study indicate that the approach in the family environment in instilling character education in students during distance learning during the Covid 19 pandemic. How to instill character education in students during distance learning during the Covid 19 pandemic in the family environment through the formation of character values such as (religious, disciplined, creative, independent, and responsible). Obstacles encountered by families in instilling character education in students during distance learning during the Covid 19 pandemic. During the current pandemic, children spend more time in an environment other than the school environment, such as the family environment and social community with their playmates, although in limited numbers.

Abstract

The background of this research is that child development requires a family that acts as a center for children, where interactions between children and other families can make a foundation for children's attitudes towards other people and the surrounding environment. This study aims to determine the implementation of the parenting program to increase the capacity of parents in instilling healthy lifestyle behaviors for early childhood based on Ala Rasul. This study uses a qualitative descriptive emethod, with the number of samples in the study being one manager, one teacher, and 6 representatives of parents. Data collection techniques through interviews and observation. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the implementation of parenting to increase the capacity of parents in instilling healthy living behavior for early childhood based on the Ala Rasul has been going well following the purpose of this activity, namely increasing the capacity of parents in instilling healthy living behaviors in children, parents of students. gain knowledge that can be used at home where parents are examples when children are at home.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover and interpret data about the development of correctional inmates through game art in increasing the entrepreneurial independence of inmates at Class IIA Karawang prison. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and literature studies. The research informants consisted of 5 inmates, 1 head of LAPAS, and the supervisor of the LAPAS gamelan art. The results of this study indicate that developing the Degung art of the assisted members in achieving entrepreneurial independence at Class IIA Karawang LAPAS, namely the compatibility between the coaching program and the potential and needs of the assisted residents, while indicators of increasing entrepreneurial independence after participating in Degung art coaching can be seen when the development of Degung art is in progress. In progress, inmates can be more patient in playing gamelan gamelan, agile and follow the supervisor's directions, so that when the term of imprisonment is over, inmates can control themselves more differently than when they first entered prison, the socialization skills of inmates are increasing, and the motivation of entrepreneurship inmates is growing. penitentiary.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan mengenai implementasi teori pembelajaran behavioristik dan humanistik dalam pendidikan keluarga. Teori belajar seringkali dipandang hanya diterapkan pada pendidikan formal maupun nonformal, namun pendidikan keluarga merupakan salah satu unit pendidikan yang tidak bisa dipandang sebelah mata karena peran dan fungsinya yang juga memberikan kontribusi yang sangat besar pada perkembangan generasi bangsa. Beberapa penelitian terdahulu melihat implementasi teori belajar dalam satuan pendidikan baik formal maupun non formal, namun secara tidak sadar pada pendidikan keluarga pun sudah diimplementasikan namun dengan porsi dan teknik yang disesuaikan dengan iklim pendidikan keluarga. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini akan dibahas mengenai (1) Bagaimana implementasi prinsip-prinsip teori belajar behavioristik dalam pendidikan keluarga?; (2) Bagaimana implementasi prinsip-prinsip teori belajar humanistik dalam pendidikan keluarga? Penelitian ini dilakukan pada keluarga di RT 02 Kelurahan Sukamiskin Kecamatan Arcamanik Kota Bandung sebanyak 10 keluarga yang memiliki anak dibawah umur 18 tahun dengan karakteristik keluarga yang beragam dari aspek pekerjaan dan usia. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi.

Abstract

In today's era of digital-based learning management, educators must have knowledge and skills in the use of digital technology in teaching and learning activities. This study aims to analyze data on the competence of digital-based portfolio assessment of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) teachers who teach at Kindergarten and Playgroup in the city of Bandung. The research method used was descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research informants included 14 teachers, 3 principals, and 1 vice principal. Data collection techniques used in this study include in-depth interviews, non-participatory observations, documentation studies, and relevant literature. Data analysis techniques used triangulation. The results of the study include: the ECCE educators’ competence of digital-based assessment in Lengkong District, Bandung City, are categorized as low and still needs to be improved. Especially related to the knowledge and skills mastery of digital media assessment tools such as Canva and the like, to support the assessment of students' portfolio in schools. This research recommends the digital-based portfolio assessment of ECCE educators competence improvement both through continuous training and also through the establishment of a joint learning forum.

Abstract

Plastic waste is one of the wastes that is difficult to decompose naturally and requires a long time to decompose completey. Its single-use use results in a significant level of plastic bag consumption, resulting in the accumulation of plastic bag waste which can cause environmental pollution. The purpuse of this study was to describe the application of the andragogy approach in improving people’s life skill through training on recycling plastic bag waste. The research theory used are training theory, andragogy theory, and community education. The research theory used is descriptive with qualitative methods. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documention. The main reason for using this instrument is to find out the appllication of the andragogy approach in improving people’s life skill through training on recyling plastic bag waste and obtaining research data as analytical material to support the prepation of reports. The results of this study illustrate the application of an andragogy approach through training on recycling plastic bag waste that can improve people’s life skill. The conclusion of this study is that this andragogy approach can increase people’s knowledge and skill in recycling plastic bag waste into various handicraft creations and can raise public awareness to reduce environmental pollition caused by the accumulation of plastic waste.

Abstract

This study aims, firstly, to determine the process of implementing extracurricular activities in fostering student discipline at SMK Negeri 11 Bandung. The theory used in this study is the theory (Soegeng PP., 1995:23) in Tu'u (2004: 31), the theory of the 1995 National Discipline Crash Working Group Team (GDN 1996:29-30) in Tu'u (2004: 32), and theory (Maman R. 1999:168) in Tu'u (2004: 32). This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with the research subject 5 students of class XI SMKN 11 Bandung. The instruments used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses technical analysis (data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing). The results showed that there was a change in the level of discipline of students who took part in scout extracurricular activities. This is based on the results of homeroom interviews, student observations and a study of student record documentation on BK teachers at SMKN 11 Bandung. The conclusion of this study shows that the scout extracurricular has an impact on the level of student discipline. Keywords: Discipline, Scout Extracurricular.
