Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan materi kimia siswa SMK kompetensi keahlian Agribisnis Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura (ATPH) yang diharapkan dapat menghasilkan outline bahan ajar kimia yang sesuai untuk siswa SMK kompetensi keahlian ATPH. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian deskriptif evaluatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Materi kimia berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 sudah memenuhi kebutuhan materi kejuruan, namun perlu adanya penyesuaian dari kedalaman dan penguatan konsep pada masing-masing materi kimia. 2) Peta materi kimia yang dibutuhkan untuk menunjang kompetensi siswa SMK kompetensi keahlian ATPH memuat materi kimia dengan konteks ATPH yang relevan.3) Ruang lingkup materi kimia yang dibutuhkan untuk siswa SMK kompetensi keahlian ATPH dibuat berdasarkan materi kimia, materi prasyarat, dan konteks ATPH disusun dalam bentuk outline.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKS model C-R-E-A-T-E dalam pembuatan sel volta berbahan kulit buah yang layak untuk membangun kreativitas siswa ditinjau dari kelayakan internal, eksternal, Teaching for Creativity Observation (TCOF), kualitas karya kreatif, dan respon siswa terhadap penggunaan LKS. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian desain dan pengembangan dengan desain penelitian menggunakan Education Desain Research (EDR). Partisipan pada penelitian ini melibatkan 3 orang dosen pendidikan kimia, 2 orang guru kimia SMA, 3 orang observer (peneliti lain), dan 20 orang siswa SMA kelas XII yang bersekolah di salah satu SMA Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar kelayakan internal (syarat konten, syarat teknis, dan syarat konstruk), lembar kelayakan eksternal (jawaban LKS siswa dan observasi aktivitas siswa), lembar penilaian karya kreatif siswa, dan angket respon siswa terhadap penggunaan LKS. Pada penelitian ini, pengolahan data dibuat dalam bentuk persentase yang kemudian dikategorikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan LKS yang ditinjau berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan internal, eksternal, TCOF, dan respon angket siswa terhadap penggunaan LKS termasuk kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan hasil pengembangan LKS yang ditinjau dari kualitas karya kreatif siswa termasuk kategori sangat baik. Karya kreatif yang dibuat siswa adalah sel volta dengan elektrolit dari kulit buah. Secara keseluruhan berdasarkan hasil penilaian yang ditinjau dari kelayakan internal, eksternal, Teaching for Creativity Observation (TCOF), kualitas karya kreatif, dan respon siswa terhadap penggunaan LKS menunjukkan bahwa LKS model C-R-E-A-T-E pembuatan sel volta berbahan limbah kulit buah yang dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk membangun kreativitas siswa.

Abstract

To improve the efficacy of chemistry teaching and learning in secondary schools, the development of relevant and contextual teacing material is essential. The development of teaching and learning materials is one of the considerable research carried out, especially in the development of chemistry teaching and learning materials for secondary school which is conducted to support an improvement in learning process. This study aims to analyzed contexts of content and pedagogy in the development of chemistry teaching and learning materials. The research method used was a systematic literature review. Employing a systematic literature review method, this study analyzed 51 articles selected from 2015 to 2021 based on keyword “development of chemistry teaching and learning materials in secondary school”. The findings show that context of content and pedagogy that had been used in developing chemistry teaching and learning materials is varied. However, there are certain content in chemistry that oft to developed such as acid-base, chemical equilibrium and colloid, meanwhile context of pedagogy that oft to used in developing chemistry teaching and learning materials are Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Problem based learning (PBL). Under this literature reviev results, The researcher recommend the continuity the development on chemistry teaching and learning materials not only in content acid-base or chemical equilibrium but also in others that integrated the development to pedagody approches supporting 21st century skills (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity).

Abstract

The role of tools as educational media is crucial in facilitating the learning of scientific concepts, allowing students to master science materials and develop their skills effectively. This research aims to develop a KIT as an experimental approach to learning focused on investigating the relationships among voltage, current, resistance, and power. This study employs a research and development (R&D) approach to design and implement an impactful science learning tool for science experiments. The envisioned impact of this learning tool is to captivate students' interest and concept understanding in science education, especially in Ohm's law for the dynamic electricity topic. The design of the KIT Humoris is specifically structured to establish and illustrate the relationships between voltage, current, and resistance, as well as to calculate power based on voltage and current values. The user-friendly design and visually appealing features of the KIT Humoris make it a practical tool that enhances the tangible understanding of science concepts. Integrating this tool with the Merdeka Curriculum allows teachers to customize lessons according to the unique needs of their students. The design process involves meticulous planning, prototype development, and continuous evaluation to ensure the tool's effectiveness. Results from the trial phase indicate heightened student engagement, improved conceptual understanding, and a profound practical learning experience. KIT Humoris is a valuable science learning tool, providing an engaging and practical approach aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. Its successful implementation increases student enthusiasm and a deeper comprehension of scientific principles. The implications are contributing to the innovation of teaching methods, especially in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. From a practical standpoint, the tool has a positive impact on students and their understanding of science concepts.

Abstract

Isu sosiosaintifik merupakan isu kontroversial yang memiliki kaitan baik dengan konteks sosial maupun konteks sains. Isu sosiosaintifik ini mendukung pembelajaran abad ke-21 terutama berhubungan dengan pembelajaran yang terkait dengan permasalahan dunia nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau kajian epistimologi dan aksiologi tentang pembelajaran berorientasi isu sosiosaintifik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode narrative review yaitu metode tinjauan literatur yang bersifat non-systematic review yang betujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan merangkum apa yang telah diterbitkan sebelumnya sehingga memiliki cakupan yang lebih luas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi isu sosiosaintifik dalam pembelajaran menunjukkan bagaimana peran sains dalam menjelaskan fenomena, dan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan penalaran untuk membedakan sains dengan pseudosains. Pembelajaran berorientasi isu sosiosaintifik juga dapat meningkatkan etika, moral, dan kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Perlu diperhatikan bahwa konten dasar sains tetap perlu diajarkan ketika membelajarkan isu sosiosaintifik ini. Guru harus memiliki kompetensi konten dan pedagogis yang baik untuk membelajarkan isu-isu ini kepada siswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini  bertujuan  untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar tentang asam basa berbasis socio scientific issue. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Developmental Research (DR) dengan menggunakan metode Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4S-TMD). Tahap dari pengembangan bahan ajar meliputi 4 tahap yaitu seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi dan reduksi didaktik. Pengembangan tahap seleksi ini meliputi kesesuaian indikator dengan label konsep, kebenaran konsep asam basa menggunakan sumber buku teks terstandar, kebenaran konteks konten dan kebenaran konteks pedagogik berbasis socio scientific issue yang dapat dikaitkan dengan konsep asam basa.  Hasil  tahapan seleksi ini dievaluasi oleh dosen ahli. Hasil penelitian tahap seleksi ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum, konteks konten  yang disajikan sesuai dengan aspek socio scientific issue yang dikembangkan valid. Bagian  pertama pengembangan bahan ajar yang meliputi langkah-langkah tahap seleksi ini menghasilkan rancangan bahan ajar asam basa berbasis socio scientific issue.

Abstract

One of the emerging scientific developments is science-based local wisdom, or "ethnoscience." This research examines the urgency of ethnoscience when viewed from a philosophical perspective with an anthropological, ontological, and axiological perspective approach. This research uses a library research method with relevant sources related to the studied topic, such as books, scientific articles, and other relevant sources. The results of this study present how critical philosophical studies are to a science that is being developed, especially those that involve community culture. In addition, anthropological, ontological, and axiological perspectives provide an idea of a point of view that not only always refers to the research process but also the need to pay attention to the norms and values of the local culture. That way, future research related to ethnoscience has excellent potential to continue to be carried out through rational considerations and benefit science, culture, society, and the nation.

Abstract

Integrasi potensi dan kearifan lokal ke dalam pembelajaran IPA membuat pembelajaran lebih bermakna serta dapat menanamkan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Namun, faktanya masih banyak guru yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengintegrasikan potensi dan kearifan lokal, sehingga perlu dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru dalam mengimplementasikan potensi dan kearifan lokal ke dalam pembelajaran IPA. Metode dalam kegiatan PkM ini adalah workshop yang dilaksanakan secara online melalui Zoom meeting pada tanggal 1216 Juli 2022. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 78 guru IPA di seluruh Indonesia. Data pemahaman guru diperoleh melalui angket yang dibagikan sebelum dan sesudah workshop dilaksanakan. Secara umum pemahaman peserta workshop mengalami peningkatan antara sebelum dan sesudah workshop diselenggarakan. Selain itu evaluasi penyelenggaraan PkM yang diberikan oleh peserta secara umum berada pada kategori baik dan sangat baik. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa melalui kegiatan workshop ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman guru IPA dalam membuat bahan ajar berbasis potensi dan kearifan lokal.The integration of local potential and wisdom into science learning makes learning more meaningful and can instil local wisdom values. However, the fact is that there are still many teachers who experience difficulties in integrating local potential and wisdom, so it is necessary to carry out community service activities which aim to increase teacher understanding in implementing local potential and wisdom into science learning. The method in this community service activity is a workshop held online via Zoom meeting on 12 16 July 2022. 78 science teachers throughout Indonesia attended the activity. Teacher understanding data was obtained through questionnaires which were distributed before and after the workshop was held. In general, workshop participants' understanding increased between before and after the workshop was held. In addition, the participants' evaluation of the community service implementation was generally in the good and very good categories. Thus it was concluded that this workshop activity could increase science teachers' understanding in making teaching materials based on local potential and wisdom.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi era Society 5.0, dunia pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia. Kegiatan pembelajaran harus dapat membangun kecakapan-kecapakan hidup Abad 21, literasi, dan pengembangan karakter. Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran sangat dibutuhkan untuk menarik perhatian dan motivasi peserta didik karena peserta didik yang kita hadapi saat ini (Generasi Z) memiliki keterikatan yang sangat kuat dengan media digital dan teknologi. Oleh sebab itu, Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia dan Kimia FPMIPA UPI mengadakan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada para guru Kimia SMA untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang inovatif untuk menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di Era Society 5.0. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa pelatihan yang melibatkan 50 Guru Kimia. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara terstruktur dan sistematis dengan mengombinasikan motode daring dan luring dengan alokasi waktu setara dengan 32 JP. Kegiatan pelatihan terdiri atas tiga tahapan meliputi pemaparan materi, pengembangan dan implementasi rancangan pembelajaran inovatif, serta pelatihan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah. Pada kegiatan ini para guru memanfaatkan laboratorium virtual dan bahan ajar berbasis video dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi penggunaan laboratorium virtual dan bahan ajar berbasis video dapat meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi, dan pemahaman peserta didik. Dari data hasil implementasi para guru berhasil menuliskan artikel ilmiah yang nantinya akan dipublikasi pada jurnal nasional. In the era of Society 5.0, education has an important role in improving the quality of Human Resources. Learning activities must be able to build 21st Century life skills, literacy, and character development. The use of technology in learning is really needed to attract students' attention and motivation since the students are Z Generation which have a strong attachment to digital media and technology. Therefore, the Chemistry Education and Chemistry Study Program FPMIPA UPI conducted a Community Service by providing a training to high school chemistry teachers to increase teacher competency in designing an innovative learning to prepare education in the Era of Society 5.0. This activity takes the form of training involving 50 Chemistry Teachers. The activity is carried out in a structured and systematic training by combining online and offline methods with a time allocation equivalent to 32 hours. The training activities consisted of three stages including presentation of material, designing, and implementing an innovative learning activity, as well as training in writing academic papers. In this activity the teachers utilized virtual laboratories and video-based teaching materials in learning. Based on the implementation, the use of virtual laboratories and video-based teaching materials can increase students' motivation, participation, and understanding. From the implementation data, the teachers succeeded in writing academic articles which will be published in a national journal.
