Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of eleventh-grade students in the "Meeting Management" element of the Office Management program at SMKS PGRI 13 Surabaya. This study aimed to examine the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model and to determine its effect on the improvement of student learning outcomes in the Meeting Management element. A quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design was used. The sample consisted of class XI MP 1 as the experimental class, taught using PjBL, and class XI MP 2 as the control class, taught using direct instruction. Data were collected through pretest and posttest, and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, N-Gain calculation, and an independent sample t-test with SPSS. The results showed a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two classes, with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.005 < 0.05, so the research hypothesis was accepted. The average posttest score of the experimental class (85.88) was higher than that of the control class (76.38), and the N-Gain of the experimental class (0.6739, moderate category) was higher than the control class (0.4255, low category). These findings indicate that PjBL enhances student engagement through authentic, contextual project-based activities, and has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes in the Meeting Management element.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the higher order cognitive learning outcomes (C4–C6) of class X MPK students at SMK Adhikawacana Surabaya in the Office Technology Equipment and Applications element. Method: This quasi experiment used a Nonequivalent Control Group Design involving 72 students selected through total sampling, divided into an experimental class and a control class of 36 students each. The instrument was a 20 item multiple choice test that met the requirements of validity, reliability (Cronbach's Alpha 0.948), difficulty level, and discriminating power. Data were analyzed using the independent sample t-test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain test with SPSS 26. Results: The pretest obtained a significance of 0.888 (> 0.05), indicating equivalent initial abilities. The paired sample t-test showed an increase of 19.306 points in the experimental class and 7.917 points in the control class (Sig. 0.000). The posttest independent sample t-test obtained t = 4.233, a significance of 0.000 (< 0.05), and a mean difference of 10.972, so H0 was rejected. The experimental class N-Gain of 0.40 falls into the moderate category. PjBL therefore has a significant effect on learning outcomes, although the magnitude of the improvement is moderate. Novelty: This study tests PjBL integrated with authentic office technology projects and restricts measurement to the higher order cognitive domain (C4–C6), which has rarely been examined in Indonesian office management vocational education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital literacy, Artificial Intelligence (AI) utilization, and learning interest on the digital responsibility of students in the Office Administration Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The scope of this research focuses on how cognitive, technological, and affective factors contribute to responsible digital behavior among university students in the era of artificial intelligence.This research employed a quantitative explanatory approach to examine causal relationships among variables. The population consisted of 639 students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts, with a sample of 246 respondents selected using proportional random sampling based on the Slovin formula. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. Prior to regression analysis, classical assumption tests including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests were conducted. The results indicate that AI utilization and learning interest have a significant positive effect on students’ digital responsibility, while digital literacy does not show a significant partial effect. Simultaneously, digital literacy, AI utilization, and learning interest significantly influence digital responsibility. The coefficient of determination shows that these variables explain 46.9% of the variation in digital responsibility, while the remaining 53.1% is influenced by other factors outside the model.In conclusion, AI utilization and learning interest play an important role in strengthening students’ digital responsibility. Therefore, integrating ethical AI use and fostering learning interest in higher education can support the development of responsible digital behavior among students

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Kepegawaian (SIKEP) is a web-based application that all employees at the Pengadilan Tinggi Tata Usaha Negara (PTTUN) of Surabaya are required to use to support personnel administration. The mandatory nature of this system raises concerns regarding employee acceptance of the technology, given that actual usage does not fully reflect users' free choice, compounded by technical issues such as delayed data synchronization and instability of the centralized system. This study aims to analyze the effect of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude toward using, and behavioral intention to use on the actual system use of SIKEP at PTTUN Surabaya, both partially and simultaneously, using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. The population and sample consisted of 56 SIKEP user employees, selected using a census technique. Primary data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 27. Actual system use was measured based on respondents' perceptions rather than system log data, as the researcher had no personal access to the SIKEP application. The results show that perceived usefulness and attitude toward using have a positive but not significant effect on actual system use, while perceived ease of use and behavioral intention to use have a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, all four variables significantly affect actual system use, contributing 87.9%. These findings indicate that ease of use and intention to use are the dominant factors in SIKEP acceptance, while the system's mandatory nature weakens the influence of perceived usefulness and attitude on actual usage.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Differences in learning experiences between problem-centered instruction and more teacher-directed learning have become a point of consideration in the teaching of Fundamentals of Office Management and Business Services. In this context, Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by Wayground was implemented among Grade X Office Management and Business Services students at SMK Negeri 2 Nganjuk to examine changes in learning outcomes. The study involved 74 students, consisting of 37 students in the experimental group and 37 students in the control group, using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Measurements were conducted before and after the learning process, with score improvements analyzed using the N-Gain Score and differences between groups examined through an Independent Samples t-test. Learning implementation reached 100% for teacher activities and 92.86% for student activities. The experimental group achieved a mean N-Gain Score of 0.61, compared with 0.39 in the control group. The difference yielded t = 4.729 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate that combining problem-solving activities with interactive digital media can produce better learning outcomes and offer an alternative for strengthening vocational education. ABSTRAK Perbedaan pengalaman belajar antara pembelajaran yang berpusat pada penyelesaian masalah dan pembelajaran yang lebih terarah oleh guru menjadi titik perhatian dalam pembelajaran Dasar-Dasar Manajemen Perkantoran dan Layanan Bisnis. Pada konteks tersebut, Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Wayground diterapkan pada siswa kelas X Manajemen Perkantoran dan Layanan Bisnis SMK Negeri 2 Nganjuk untuk melihat perubahan capaian belajar yang dihasilkan. Sebanyak 74 siswa terlibat, dengan 37 siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dan 37 siswa pada kelompok kontrol, melalui Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Pengukuran dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran, kemudian perubahan skor dianalisis menggunakan N-Gain Score dan perbedaan antarkelompok diuji melalui Independent Samples t-test. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran tercatat 100% pada aktivitas guru dan 92,86% pada aktivitas siswa. Capaian kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-Gain Score 0,61, sedangkan kelompok kontrol mencapai 0,39. Perbedaan tersebut memperoleh nilai t = 4,729 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa penyatuan aktivitas pemecahan masalah dengan media digital interaktif dapat memberikan hasil belajar yang lebih baik dan menawarkan alternatif penguatan pembelajaran vokasi.
