Abstract

This research aims to explore and combine the concepts of civic spirituality and disposition to build ethical citizens' character. These two concepts complement each other, with civic spirituality focusing on religious values in society and civic disposition on civic attitudes that support active participation and responsibility. This research used the literature method, analysing relevant literature and theories on civic education, spirituality, and ethics. The results showed that the integration of civic spirituality and civic disposition can be a solid foundation for building the character of ethical, moral, and socially responsible citizens. This integration forms ethical citizens through religious values, such as basic morals, citizen activeness, responsibility, and norm-compliant citizenship. This concept strengthens the citizens' spiritual aspects, supports the development of a positive civic attitude, and focuses on the common good. The benefits of this research are that it offers insights for educators, policymakers, and the public in designing more comprehensive and effective civic education programs that aim to shape citizens with strong character, ethics, and morals.

Abstract

Character education at the Junior High School (SMP) level is essential in shaping young people who have tolerance, empathy, and respect for diversity. The implementation of multicultural-based e-comic Saleh at Magelang Junior High School is expected to be one of the solutions to strengthen students' character through digital media that is interesting and relevant to their lives. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of e-comic Saleh in reinforcing students' character, focusing on multicultural values, including tolerance, empathy, and cooperation. By using a qualitative approach, data were collected from students of grade VII through observation, questionnaire, and interview. The results showed that using e-comic Saleh significantly improved students' understanding of multicultural values and strengthened their positive character. This e-comic was effective in facilitating a more interactive and meaningful learning process. The findings of this research provide important implications for the development of digital learning media in character education in Indonesian schools.

Abstract

Strengthening character in a multicultural society is a challenge amidst the current of globalization that has the potential to erode noble values. This study examines how the Tionghoa Ethnic community in Indonesia maintains and strengthens good character sustainably through an incremental change approach, namely changes in values, attitudes, and behaviour that occur gradually but consistently. Using descriptive qualitative methods and case study designs in three multicultural cities, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies of family practices and socio-religious organizations. The results show that character strengthening is carried out through two main strategies: (1) internalizing values such as hard work, responsibility, and integrity in everyday life; and (2) awareness, adaptation, and character application without losing cultural identity. The gradual character transformation produces a resilient, empathetic, and pro-social young Tionghoa generation. These findings prove that incremental change is effectively applied as a community culture-based character-building approach.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini memiliki konsen untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepatuhan hukum masyarakat membayar pajak. Guna mengedukasi pemahaman terhadap nilai-nilai dasar penting membayar pajak sesuai dengan konstitusi Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945. Pengabdiannya dengan permainan edukatif menggunakan alat peraga sebagai media melatih kognisi dan afeksi untuk meningkatkan knowledge (pengetahuan) dan awaraness (kesadaran). Model edukasi melalui materi PAKU HITAM yang tersosialisasi nantinya dapat meningkatkan kualitas pemahaman masyarakat. Transfer ilmu dari orang tua ke anak atau anak ke orang tua dengan cara pendekatan edukasi humanis, terencana, teratur, sistematis, menyenangkan dan sederhana. Pemahaman kesadaran membayar pajak di wilayah mitra butuh strategi yang mudah dipahami agar dapat memunculkan kesadaran dan kepatuhan hukum dalam membayar pajak demi kesejahteraan kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Selain materi, tim juga memonitor dan mengevalusi apakah materi yang telah tersalurkan dapat diimplementasikan dengan baik atau tidak. Evaluasi ini berfungsi sebagai tindak lanjut tim dalam membantu membentuk masyarakat melalui karakter yang berjiwa nasionalis dan patriotis.

Abstract

Banyak sekali kasus pelecehan seksual terhadap anak yang melibatkan perempuan dan anak yang menjadi korbannya. Seperti akhir-akhir ini kerap terjadi kasus-kasus yang merugikan pihak perempuan dan anak yakni terror sprema, begal payudara, cross hijaber, perekaman video di fitting room, perdagangan perempuan dan masih banyak lagi. Namun, banyak kasus-kasus pelecehan seksual yang tidak dapat diselesaikan secara tuntas, sedangkan dampak terhadap korban sangat berdampak bagi diri si korban dan keluarga serta membawa trauma berkepanjangan. Meningkatnya kasus kekerasan seksual terhadap anak dan perempuan juga dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kesadaran dan ketidaktahuan masyarakat akan hal tersebut. Bahkan, masyarakat beranggapan atau berpandangan bahwa kasus pelecehan seksual baik yang terjadi pada anak dan perempuan adalah aib keluarga yang harus ditutupi. Perlu untuk adanya pendampingan peningkatan kesadaran hukum bagi masyarakat tentang perlindungan perempuan dan anak.

Abstract

This research analyzes the effectiveness of the group inquiry learning model based on religious character values in enhancing narrative writing skills, specifically in the form of diaries. The objective is to evaluate how this model integrates Islamic religious education with literacy culture while fostering religious character values in the learning process. Employing a quasi-experimental method with a matching-only pretest-posttest control group design, the study was conducted with 76 eighth-grade students from Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri in Magelang City, Central Java, Indonesia. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and tests assessing narrative writing that incorporated religious character values such as siddiq, amanah, tabligh, and fathanah. The results revealed that the experimental group, which used the group inquiry model, showed significant improvements in writing skills (t-count = 3.081, sig. = 0.018). The N-Gain for the experimental group was 22.33, compared to 0.52 for the control group, demonstrating the model’s effectiveness. This research underscores the importance of integrating group inquiry learning with religious character values, as it significantly improves narrative writing skills, enhances student engagement, and instills core Islamic values, thereby contributing to the development of both literacy and character education in Islamic schools.

Abstract

This research aims to discover the meaning of the philosophy of Sa Tidar as a symbol and meaning in the practice of life in Bukit Tidar, meaning that every wrong will be caught in every behavior in life. It means that honesty is part of one's integrity in action. Javanese thick norms impact social sanctions through community appreciation and rejection. The value of Sa Tidar is very relevant in the Civic Disposition value order as a reinforcement in community life. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. Then, the data was validated through source and method triangulation. This research used Miles and Huberman's model: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to analyze the data. The results showed that the validity of Sa Tidar philosophy in strengthening Civic Disposition through (1) the meaning of Sa Tidar values has excellent relevance in shaping civic disposition as a pillar of social life. (2) The philosophy of Sa Tidar serves as a moral guide that integrates the values of religiosity and character in everyday life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tantangan keberagaman yang muncul akibat globalisasi dan perubahan sosial yang cepat. Pola pendidikan keluarga di Indonesia sering kali dipengaruhi oleh budaya asing yang tidak sejalan dengan nilai-nilai luhur bangsa, yang berkontribusi pada penurunan persatuan, toleransi, dan kerukunan sosial. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini menganalisis keluarga-keluarga yang berhasil mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan keluarga berbasis kearifan lokal dan nilai-nilai Pancasila dapat menjadi solusi praktis dan strategis dalam membentuk generasi yang toleran, berkarakter damai, dan siap menghadapi keberagaman dalam masyarakat. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya memperkuat identitas nasional tetapi juga menjadi strategi penting dalam menjaga harmoni sosial di tengah masyarakat yang multikultural. Dengan menjadikan keluarga sebagai unit pendidikan pertama, model ini berkontribusi pada penciptaan lingkungan yang damai, dari lingkup keluarga hingga sekolah, dan pada akhirnya menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih inklusif dan harmonis.

Abstract

This literature review explores the relationship between professional ethics and exemplary behavior from the perspective of Pancasila values, which are relevant in addressing the complexities of modern professionalism. Various moral issues, such as abuse of authority, weak integrity, and the crisis of exemplary behavior, demand a stronger ethical foundation rooted in the nation's noble values. This study uses a conceptual approach based on literature with a critical analysis of the literature on professional ethics, Pancasila values, and the practice of exemplary behavior from figures. The novelty of this article lies in the integration of professional ethics with Pancasila, which is not only positioned as a normative guideline, but also synthesized into a conceptual model of Pancasila-based professional ethics that emphasizes the integration of moral values, social responsibility, and exemplary behavior from figures. The main synthesis of the study confirms that the revitalization of Pancasila values ​​strengthens the moral foundation of the profession while offering a practical ethical framework that is contextual, adaptive, and relevant to global challenges. The practical implications of this study are the importance of implementing Pancasila-based professional ethics in professional education, character development of the younger generation, and the development of ethical leadership capable of building a society with integrity, justice, and civility.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan buku kegiatan Project Based Learning berbasis kearifan lokal untuk meningkatkan civic disposition mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian campuran dengan metode penelitian dan pengembangan Borg dan Gall. Terdapat 8 langkah dalam penelitian dan pengembangan Borg dan Gall, antara lain: (1) studi kepustakaan; (2) survei lapangan; (3) penyusunan instrument; (4) uji coba terbatas; (5) revisi hasil uji coba; (6) uji coba lebih luas; (7) penyempurnaan produk akhir; (8) desiminasi dan implementasi. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengambil data adalah angket, test, pedoman wawancara, dan pedoman observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa buku kegiatan PJBL yang telah disusun memenuhi unsur kelayakan untuk digunakan, penerapan penggunaan buku kegiatan PJBL berbasis kearifan lokal dilaksanakan melalui dua tahapan, yaitu pelaksanaan dan pelaksanaan, serta memiliki pengaruh terhadap perubahan civic disposition mahasiswa. Penggunaan buku kegiatan PJBL berbasis kearifan lokal pada mata kuliah Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perubahan civic disposition mahasiswa. Namun, perubahan tersebut tidak mengarah kepada peningkatan tetapi mengarah kepada penurunan karena rata-rata skor yang dihasilkan pada posttest mengalami penurunan dibandingkan dengan rata-rata skor pretest. Berdasarkan hasil dan simpulan yang diperoleh, saran bagi peneliti yang ingin melakukan penelitian serupa adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif agar dapat diketahui penyebab yang lebih rinci tentang penurunan civic disposition pada mahasiswa setelah menggunakan buku kegiatan PJBL pada mata kuliah Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan
