Abstract

Social inequality and low community participation in cash waqf through Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk CWLS indicate that the great potential of waqf has not been optimized. Lack of financial literacy, access to services, and traditional perceptions of waqf are the main obstacles. This study is important to identify factors that influence community waqf intentions, especially in CWLS products. The purpose of this study is analyze and explain the influence of financial literacy, financial inclusion, socialization, and marketing programs on waqf intentions on CWLS with religiosity as a moderator. The population of this study were all customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The number of samples that met the criteria was 150 customers. Hypothesis testing was carried out using SEM-PLS. The results of the study showed that financial literacy, socialization, and marketing programs had a significant positive effect on waqf intentions, while financial inclusion had no significant effect. Religiosity as a moderator strengthens the influence of socialization and marketing programs on waqf intentions, but weakens the influence of financial literacy and inclusion. These findings indicate the importance of CWLS education and marketing strategies integrated with religious and social approaches to increase community participation in waqf.

Abstract

Islamic credit cards are one of the innovations in the Islamic financial system aimed at providing non-cash transaction facilities while adhering to Islamic principles. This study aims to identify the challenges and issues faced by Islamic banks in developing and implementing Islamic credit card products in Indonesia. The research method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach, referring to academic literature, fatwas from the National Sharia Council (DSN-MUI), and banking regulations. The results show that Islamic banks face several key challenges, including limited public understanding of sharia-based contracts, the need for adequate supporting technology systems, and intense competition from more widely known conventional credit cards. In addition, limited product innovation and the need for harmonization between sharia regulations and national financial authority policies remain significant obstacles. Therefore, synergy between regulators, industry players, and academics is necessary to strengthen Islamic credit card products through education, sharia financial literacy, and the development of competitive yet sharia-compliant features.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between customer financial literacy and understanding of the financing system implemented at Sharia Pegadaian in Indonesia. Financial literacy, which includes knowledge, skills and attitudes towards financial management, plays an important role in supporting wise financial decision making, especially in the context of Islamic financial services. This study uses library research. The research results show that customers' financial literacy levels still vary, with several main obstacles such as a lack of understanding of sharia contracts and sharia-based financing mechanisms. Statistical analysis shows a significant positive relationship between financial literacy and understanding of the sharia financing system. These findings emphasize the importance of structured educational efforts to increase financial literacy, especially among people who have not been optimally served by formal financial institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the concept and regulations of Islamic pension funds (dana pensiun syariah) in Indonesia, which impact life in old age based on the Maqasid al-Shariah (objectives of Islamic law). An Islamic pension fund is a pension fund that administers a retirement program based on Sharia principles (DSN-MUI Fatwa Number: 88/DSN-MUI/XI/2013). The management of Islamic pension funds in Indonesia is carried out through investments in Sharia-compliant pension funds that are distributed to participants. This is closely tied to the contractual consequences of the underlying agreement governing the transactional relationship between DPLK (Financial Institution Pension Fund) participants and the Sharia DPLK, which is based on the contract of Wakalah bil Ujrah (agency with fee). This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method to analyze instruments of old-age protection based on Maqasid al-Shariah in the management of pension funds within Islamic financial institutions. The research is rooted in the management of pension funds aligned with the Maqasid al-Shariah, which represent the main objectives of Islamic law—namely, to realize the welfare (maslahah) of humanity in both this world and the hereafter. This pension fund also serves as a form of old-age security designed to provide income certainty for workers after entering retirement.
