Abstract

Background: Working in hot climates can also lead to health problems such as dehydration. Dehydration is the excessive loss of fluid from body tissues. Dehydration can be caused by fluid loss and bleeding. Dehydration can also occur due to increased fluid requirements, such as fever, high environmental temperatures, and extreme activity. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the relationship between individual characteristics and work climate with hydration status in workers in the production department of PT X. Method: This study used a cross-sectional design, with analytical observation methods, and a sample size of 57 workers in the production department. The relationship between the research variables was examined using the contingency coefficient statistical test. Result: The results of the study showed that there was a significant correlation between hydration status and age (p value = 0.003), Body Mass Index (BMI) (p value = 0.038), drinking water intake (p value = 0.000), and work climate conditions (p value = 0.020). Conclusion: This study indicates that some production workers are not well hydrated. This is based on the analysis of four variables: age, body mass index, water consumption, and work environment. These variables were found to have a significant correlation with workers' hydration status, with the strength of the relationship ranging from moderate to strong.

Abstract

Workers with disabilities in Indonesia continue to encounter deep and multifaceted barriers in entering and sustaining participation in the formal labor market because the implementation of national regulations that guarantee equal employment rights, workplace accessibility, and protection from discrimination remains inconsistent with the expectations set by existing legal frameworks, creating a significant gap between the normative commitments contained in disability and labor legislation and the realities experienced in workplaces that often underestimate the capabilities of disabled workers, maintain persistent social stigma, and fail to provide adequate facilities and organizational policies that support their effective participation. This study aims to explain the reasons why these barriers persist by examining how weak oversight, limited understanding among employers, inadequate workplace accessibility, minimal use of assistive technology, and the absence of strong incentive and sanction systems collectively undermine the objectives of disability inclusion policies. The findings reveal that companies often disregard hiring quotas, government institutions lack the capacity to enforce compliance, workplaces remain largely inaccessible, and small and medium-sized enterprises struggle to adopt inclusive practices due to resource limitations and insufficient technical guidance. In contrast, multinational companies that have implemented structured facilities, flexible work arrangements, and targeted training demonstrate that inclusion can operate effectively when supported by organizational commitment. Based on these findings, the study recommends strengthening institutional coordination, improving employer education on disability rights, expanding vocational and skills-based training tailored to various types of disabilities, enhancing accessibility facilities in workplaces, and providing clear and practical guidelines for companies of different sizes so they can adjust work environments, tasks, and policies in ways that allow workers with disabilities to participate more fully and sustainably in Indonesia’s labor market.

Abstract

The transfer of assets by taxpayers to avoid tax obligations is a practice that has the potential to harm the state. Although it is often carried out in ways that appear formally lawful, such actions can be categorized as an abuse of law when conducted in bad faith. This study aims to examine the forms of civil legal liability arising from asset transfers undertaken to evade taxes. The research employs a normative juridical method with statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. The data used consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials analyzed qualitatively. The results show that asset transfers motivated by tax avoidance can give rise to civil liability through mechanisms of unlawful acts based on Article 1365 of the Indonesian Civil Code, as well as through actio pauliana as regulated under Article 1341 of the Indonesian Civil Code. The state, as a tax creditor, has legal standing to file claims for the annulment of transactions that harm state tax revenues. Therefore, synergy between tax law and civil law is necessary to ensure effective law enforcement against tax avoidance practices conducted through asset transfers.
