Abstract

Abstract. A research on the application of the Scientific approach to redox learning in the classroom X MS 5 SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin academic year 2013/2014. This research aimed to determine: (1) the activity of the teacher (2) increase the activity of students (3) increase students' science process skills (4) enhancement of cognitive and affective outcomes. This research method uses design of classroom action research (PTK) with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and evaluation, as well as analysis and reflection. The subjects were students of class X MS 5 SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin the number of 34 people. The research instrument is a test instrument type process skills worksheets, achievement test objective type questions totaling 15 questions and non-test. The results stated that (1) the implementation of the cycle I of teachers teaching process is fair increase to very good in the cycle II (2) increase the activity of students from cycle I to cycle II with a score of 9 (3) increase students' science process skills from the cycle I to cycle II with a score of 12,2 (4) increase students' mastery of cognitive learning outcomes of the cycle I to the cycle II of 12,5% and affective learning outcomes of character behavior and social skills of students cycle I was quite good at rising to the cycle II.Keywords: science process skills, scientific approaches, redox.

Abstract

The constructivist paradigm for the instructional design to facilitate not only the thinking processes but also the social interaction processes. As such, Group Investigation and Inductive model in learning science. In Group Investigation (GI) models, learning to work together productively as well as to interact socially and effectively in a small group to problem solving. A variety of skills, for example, interpersonal, problem solving, and study skills would be needed. In Group Investigation and inductive models could sharpen the students‟ ability academically as well as socially; the application of  GI models could increase students‟ activities and process skill during the learning  process science. Futhermore, the students showed their enthusiasm and high motivation in doing their tasks, presentations and discussions. Besides, their attention, concentration, interaction, creativity, cooperation in group and their work in problem solving. Cooperative learning type GI could increase the students‟ achievement in learning Science.In Inductive models, student as center in learning process. Student learning is constructed knowledge and teacher facilitate to true understanding about material learning.  Thus, the GI and inductive models could be applied as one of the alternatives in learning science at school because it could increase the students‟ enthusiasm and also the students‟ learning achievement. Abstract

Abstract. A research on the implementation of problem based learning model aided superitem test of the ability of problem solving solubility and solubility product in SMA Negeri 1 Martapura. The research was quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group. The study population were students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Martapura with a sample of 36 students of class XI student of Mathematics 1 and 35 2 XI MIPA obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected with engineering test and non-test and analyzed using t-test and descriptive analysis. The results showed that (1) There are differences in problem solving ability of students to the application of problem based learning model superitem aided test and application of problem based learning model, (2) Activity student on the application of problem based learning model aided superitem tests more active than the student activity on the application Problem Based Learning models and, (3) students give positive response to the application of problem based learning model aided superitem test.Keywords: superitem test, problem based learning, problem solving.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran Cooperative Problem Solving (CPS) pada materi hidrolisis garam siswa kelas XI IA SMA Frater Don Bosco Banjarmasin. Pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran dalam melatihkan keterampilan metakognisi dan pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Tessmer dengan One – group pretest – posttest design pada small group dan One – group pretest – posttest design with repeat pada field test. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes hasil belajar, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Nilai n-gain hasil belajar keterampilan metakognisi yang diperoleh pada small group termasuk dalam kategori sedang, pada field test pertama dan kedua termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan tinggi. Niilai n-gain pemahaman konsep siswa padasmall group termasuk dalam kategori sedang, pada field test pertama dan kedua termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan tinggi, artinya perangkat pembelajaran efektif. Hasil respon siswa pada one to one, small group, dan field test termasuk dalam golongan positif, artinya perangkat pembelajaran bersifat praktis. Nilai validitas perangkat pembelajaran menunjukkan kategori valid, artinya perangkat pembelajaran valid. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan, sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran kimia

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran ARE (awareness, regulation and evaluation) berbasis masalah kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Model penelitian pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Borg & Gall. Setelah divalidasi oleh 5 validator, dilakukanlah ujicoba perorangan, ujicoba kelompok kecil dan ujicoba lapangan pada kelas XI IPA 1 sebanyak 35 peserta didik dan XI IPA 4 sebanyak 35 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan lembar validasi para ahli, angket respon, dan tes hasil belajar kognisi dan keterampilan metakognisi peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validitas perangkat pembelajaran termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran dilihat dari hasil keterlaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas dan respon peserta didik yang memiliki kategori positif. Keefektifan dilihat dari hasil belajar kognisi dan keterampilan metakognisi pada kedua kelas dalam kategori sedang. Disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif, sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran kimia di sekolah.

Abstract

Abstract. Effectiveness between PDEODE based multimedia, PDEODE based laboratory and expository instructional strategy to improve learning outcome has been investigated. This study was used quasiexperiment with pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. Next to that, the study involved students of class XI SMAN 2 Banjarmasin as research subject. The instrument that was used to compare student’s learning outcome of three classes is cognitive test with multiple choice form. Data was analyzed by one way Anova and Duncan. Based on analyze, this study showed that (1) there is a significant difference of learning outcome between PDEODE based multimedia, PDEODE based laboratory and expository instructional strategy (2) the use of PDEODE based multimedia is more effective than the use of expository or PDEODE based laboratory.

Abstract

Abstract: It has been conducted a study about application of model Creative Problem Solving (CPS) in learning topics of Solubility and Solubility Product. The aims of research to know difference learning outcome between CPS-Flash, CPS, and conventional learning. This quasi-experimental study involved students in the 11th grade class of SMAN 4 Banjarmasin. Sample was taken from all population (total sampling). Test instruments were used for measuring students learning outcome. Questionnaire were used for measuring students affective aspect and the students’ respons. Students activity measured by observer. By using one way Anava and LSD analysis, this study shows that there is significant difference of learning outcome between CPS-Flash/CPS and conventional learning and no difference between CPS-Flash and CPS. The result observation student’s learning process used model CPS get positive respons from students who showing a good affective and activity.Key words: CPS, Solubility and Solubility Product, learning outcome, learning process

Abstract

Abstract: Use of IMPROVE method to increase student’s ability in problem solving of the buffer, solubility and solubility product at class XI IPA 4 SMAN 1 Banjarmasin School Year 2012/2013. A study concerning the use of the IMPROVE in buffer, solubility and solubility product. This study aims to determine the increase in students' ability in problem solving, both cognitive achievement and metacognitive development. Study using action research design with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects were students of class XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Banjarmasin with the number 34. Data were collected using a test problem-solving ability and other non-test instruments to determine the implementation of the action. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis. The results showed that the application of IMPROVE method can improve students' ability to solve the problems of the average 37.96 to 61.83 in the first cycle to the second cycle. Cognitive learning outcomes of students on average 54.74 to 93.79 in the first cycle to the second cycle. Metacognitive development of students hasincreased from category Still Very Risky (SVR) in the first cycle to Start Growing (SG) in the second cycle. An increase in activity of teachers in the implementation of the action category quite well in the first cycle to be good in the second cycle. Student activity increased in the first cycle of category good enough to be good on the second cycle. Student responses on the first and second cycle showed excellent criterion.Keywords: IMPROVE method, metacognitive, problem-solving ability

Abstract

t has been conducting research about Implementation of learning multiple model Group Investigation and MURDER in learning chemistry especially Buffer Solution. This study aims at finding out the effetiveness of the learning multiple model Group Investigation and MURDER (MGIM) could significantly improve students. This quasi-experimental study involved students of class XI SMAN 3 Banjarmasin of South Kalimantan as a subject. Test instruments were used for measuring students learning outcome. Questionnaire were used for measuring students affective aspect. Students activity measured by observer. By using one way Anava and LSD analysis, this study shows that  the implementation of MGIM in Buffer Solution gives better activity learning outcome than just GI and conventional learning. Implementation of MGIM in Buffer Solution gives better learning activity and affective learning outcome too.Key words: multiple model, GI, MURDER, and Buffer Solution

Abstract

Abstract: Implementation of computer-based media at teaching and learning by using Direct Instruction and Collaborative Learning's model (DI-CL) was conducted. This study addresses to find out student’s improvement of cognitive skill, physicomotoric skills, and respon to the DI-CL model via lesson study. This action research class that were invoved 37 students found that the category of student’s acvhiements on designing computer-based media are 25% excelent, 66,7% good, and 8,3% medium. Student’s comprehention increased from 51,36% on the first cycle to 100% on the fourth cycle. Generally, the media quality designed by students in good category. Meanwhile, design, animation, and graphic need to be increased. Students gave a positive respond to the model which implemented in this teaching and learning process. The implementation of DI-CL model improves the students learning autonomy and their capability seen from the organization of ideas, interactivity and efectivity.Key word: Direct Instruction and Collaborative Learning's model, Lesson Study, computer-based media,learning autonomy
