Abstract

Keterampilan literasi sains siswa perlu ditingkatkan sesuai tuntutan keterampilan abad 21 menuju era masyarakat 5.0. Terbatasnya e-book siswa dan media yang relevan, sehingga diperlukan bahan ajar sains yang memuat literasi sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan validitas media dan kepraktisan media articulate storyline dan termasuk dalam penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan model 4D (define, design, devolp, desiminate). Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi media dan angket respon peserta didik dengan teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji validitas yaitu Aiken’s V dan persentase. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media articulate storyline dan tes literasi sains yang dinyatakan valid dengan nilai berturut-turut 0,84 dan 0,87 termasuk kategori validitas tinggi dengan nilai konsistensi antar validator 84,33% dan 75,00%. Media diuji coba keterbacaan dan kepraktisan pada kelompok kecil mendapatkan nilai keterbacaan media dan angket respon peserta didik berutur-turut sebesar 84,80 % dan 84,40%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media articulate storyline valid dan praktis diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPA. Students' scientific literacy skills need to be improved according to the demands of 21st-century skills towards the 5.0 society era. There are limited student e-books and relevant media, so science teaching materials that contain scientific literacy are needed. This study aims to explain the validity of the media and the practicality of the media articulate storyline and is included in research and development (R&D) using a 4D model (define, design, develop, disseminate). The data collection techniques used media validation sheets and student response questionnaires with data analysis techniques in this study using the validity test, namely Aiken's V and percentages. The results of this study indicate that the articulate storyline media and scientific literacy test, declared valid with a value of 0.84 and 0.87, respectively, are included in the high validity category with a consistency value between the validators of 84.33% and 75.00%. The media was tested for readability and practicality in small groups to get media readability scores and student response questionnaires of 84.80% and 84.40%, respectively. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the articulation storyline media is valid and practically applied in science learning.

Abstract

The limitations of teaching materials in the implementation of distance learning coupled with students’ low problem-solving ability led to the need to develop teaching materials in the form of guided inquiry to improve students’ ability to solve problems. This development research aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the Guided Inquiry Lesson Based on Ethnoscience (GILBE) e-module. This development research employs the Research and Development (RD) approach with a 4D development model, meaning define, design, develop, and disseminate. GILBE e-module on colloid material was piloted on 16 students SMA at Central Kalimantan in the limited trial and 30 students SMA at South Kalimantan in the broad trial. The validity test was measured using a validation sheet. The practicality test was measured using a readability questionnaire, student and teacher responses, and the effectiveness test was measured using a problem-solving ability test instrument in the form of ten essay questions. Descriptive and inferential statistical analysis was used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that the designed e-module matched valid, practical, and effective. The effectiveness is based on the p-value 0.05 in the limited and broad trial of the N-gain of students’ problem-solving abilities in the high category and can be used in the chemistry learning process. Further research will develop teaching materials for higher-order thinking that apply the GILBE model, which is of higher quality.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of producing Instagram content as an Authentic Problem-based science learning media to improve scientific literacy of junior high school students. This research is a development research, where the research and development steps are carried out using the ADDIE model. The feasibility of the development carried out is seen from its practicality and effectiveness. Where the average value of RPP implementation for 5 meetings is 3.84 in the very good category with a reliability of 0.69 in the high category. Then the scientific literacy obtained an N-gain score of 0.60 in the medium category. Then after carrying out the normality test and homogeneity test, the t test for scientific literacy was continued with the results of sig. pretest of 0,596 and sig. posttest of 0.949. So Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So the conclusion is that there is a significant difference in the value of the treatment with media content and without media content.Keywords: instagram, authentic problem, scientific literacy. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan menghasilkan konten instagram sebagai media pembelajaran IPA berbasis Authentic Problem untuk meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan, dimana langkah-langkah penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan menggunakan model ADDIE kelayakan pengembangan yang dilakukan dilihat dari kepraktisan dan keefektivan. Dimana nilai rerata keterlaksanaan RPP selama 5 pertemuan sebesar 3,84 berkategori sangat baik dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,69 berkategori tinggi. Kemudian pada literasi sains diperoleh skor N-gain sebesar 0,60 dengan kategori sedang.Lalu setelah melakukan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas maka dilanjutkan uji t untuk literasi sains dengan hasil sig. pretest sebesar 0,596 dan sig. posttest sebesar 0,949. Maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Jadi kesimpulannya terdapat perbedaan nilai yang signifikan terhadap perlakuan dengan konten media dan tanpa konten media.Kata kunci: instagram, authentic problem, literasi sains.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the validity of the authentic learning-based science e-module to improve the critical thinking skills of junior high school students. This research is part of development research which is part of the ASSURE model which assesses the feasibility of development from the aspect of validity. The instrument for retrieving the data used was in the form of an e-module validation sheet. Based on the results obtained from the validation of the authentic learning-based IPA e-module, it obtained a very valid category with a score of 3.38. It was concluded that the authentic learning-based science e-module to improve the critical thinking skills of junior high school students was very valid in the aspect of assessing the cover page, table of contents page, learning indicators, material accuracy, content presentation, content accuracy, evaluation questions, manuals/ teacher's answer key and glossary. While the content design and typography aspects of the e-Module are categorized as valid. Furthermore, the e-module can be continued at the next research.Keywords: validity, science e-module, authentic learning, critical thinking skills. ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan validitas e-modul IPA berbasis authentic learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMP. Penelitian ini bagian dari penelitian pengembanagan yang merupakan bagian dari model ASSURE yang menilai kelayakan pengembangan dari aspek validitas. Instrumen untuk mengambil data yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi e-modul. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari validasi e-modul IPA berbasis authentic learning memperoleh kategori sangat valid dengan skor sebesar 3,38. Didapatkan simpulan bahwa e-modul IPA berbasis authentic learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMP sangat valid dalam aspek penilaian halaman muka/sampul, halaman daftar isi, indikator pembelajaran, keakuratan materi, penyajian isi, ketepatan isi, soal evaluasi, buku petunjuk/kunci jawaban guru dan glosarium. Sedang aspek penilaian desain isi dan tifografi e-Modul berkategori valid. Selanjutnya e-modul dapat dilanjutkan pada tahapan penelitian berikutnya di uji lapangan.Kata kunci: validitas, e-modul IPA, authentic learning, keterampilan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Science literacy is a key factor in overcoming real-life problems, but it needs to be adequately trained in schools. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of STEM-integrated problem-based learning (STEM-PBL) in enhancing students' science literacy skills. This research is part of research and development with the ADDIE model in the implementation and evaluation stages. The implementation test used a one-group pre-test and post-test design on 58 students divided into two groups. The data collection instruments were science literacy tests and an interview questionnaire. The results showed that: (1) paired t-test results showed that there was a significant increase in students' science literacy skills in both groups; (2) independent t-test results showed that there was no significant difference in the average N-gain score of science literacy in both groups; and (3) n-gain test results for science literacy showed an increase in science literacy in both groups in high criteria. Thus, STEM-PBL is effective in enhancing students' science literacy. STEM-PBL can be the leading solution to realizing the science literacy movement in schools.

Abstract

The problem of low metacognitive skills and student learning outcomes on colloid topics is overcome by implementing Task-Based Learning Direct Instruction (TBLDI) models. This study aims to improve (1) metacognitive skills, (2) learning outcomes aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and skills, (3) teacher implementation in applying the TBLDI model; (4) student activity. This research was conducted using a classroom action research design in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 33 students of class XI IPA 3 at SMA Negeri 10 Banjarmasin. Data was collected using valid instruments, metacognition skills tests (V = 0.98), student learning outcomes tests (V = 0.99), and non-tests to determine the process of implementing actions. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The results of the study showed that (1) students' metacognitive skills increased from the category starting to develop to be well developed, (2) knowledge learning outcomes increased from the less to the good category, attitudes were in a good category, and skills were also in the skilled category in cycle II, (3) the implementation of the teacher in implementing the TBLDI model is very good, (4) the activity of students increases from being active in cycle I to being very active in cycle II.

Abstract

The PjBL-STEAM model of wetland contexts is a learning model that can improve students' critical thinking and self-efficacy skills. It is carried out by utilizing the wetland environment as a medium for learning electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions. This study aims to determine the improvement of students’ critical thinking and self-efficacy through the PjBL-STEAM model in the context of wetlands. This present study employed quasi-experimental experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The participants were obtained through convenient sampling with the inclusive criteria of students of class X MIA 3 at SMAN 3 Barabai. The data were obtained through critical thinking tests and self-efficacy questionnaires. The obtained data were analyzed through descriptive analysis. The results showed that the PjBL-STEAM model in the wetland context could improve the critical thinking ability and self-efficacy of students with an N-gain value of critical thinking ability of 0.58, with a moderate category and N-gain self-efficacy of 0.75 with a high category. In other words, applying the PjBL-STEAM model in wetland contexts effectively improves students' critical thinking and self-efficacy skills.

Abstract

One of the fundamental concepts for the high-level problem-solving abilities required by humans in the twenty-first century is computational thinking. The basic principles and ideas found in informatics and computer science are used to solve issues computationally with the help of computational thinking. The bibliometric examination of the research on computational thinking in learning is explained in detail in this article. Using the Scopus database and the Publish or Perish (PoP) program, articles were found. According to the search and sorting results, 187 of the 200 items were located between 2019 and 2022. The Mendeley Desktop program was used to alter the chosen metadata. The VOSviewer program is then used to evaluate further and display the modifications. Most articles published in the 2019–2022 timeframe with the keyword of computational thinking have been quoted quite a bit.

Abstract

Research on the implementation of guided inquiry learning models in science learning has been carried out to improve learning outcomes and science process skills of students on skeletons, muscle and principle of simple machine at class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin. This study aims to determine differences in learning outcomes and science process skills between students appliying the guided inquiry learning model and those using the direct instruction model. This study is a quasi-experimental study with Pre-test and Post-test control group design. The sample of this study was class VIII E and class VIII F with random sampling research techniues. Knowledge results are seen from test and results of science prosess skills are seen from observation. The result obtained showed that average post-test scores of experimental class and the control class were 82 and 76, while the resultsof science process skills test of the experimental class and control class were 71,11 and 52,22. The results show that: 1) there is significant difference learning outcomes in guided inuiry and direct instruction learning models in material of skeletons, muscle and principle of simple machine; and 2) there is significant difference science process skills in guided inquiry and direct instruction learning models in material of skeletons, muscle and principle of simple machine. ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian tentang penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada pembelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pengetahuan dan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik pada materi rangka, otot dan prinsip pesawat sederhana kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar pengetahuan dan keterampilan proses sains antara peserta didik yang menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan model pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian Pre-test Post-test Cotrol Grup Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII E dan kelas VIII F dengan teknik penelitian random sampling. Hasil pengetahuan diliat dari tes soal sedangkan hasil keterampilan proses sains dilihat dari tes soal dan observasi. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor post-test kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut adalah 82,00 dan 76,00. Sementara hasil test keterampilan proses sains kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut 71,11 dan 52,22. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa 1) Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan model pembelajaran langsung atau Direct instruction pada materi rangka otot dan pesawat sederhana; 2) Terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan model pembelajaran langsung atau direct instruction pada materi rangka, otot dan pesawat sederhana

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran articulate storyline berbasis problem solving pada materi tekanan zat yang valid dan praktis sehingga layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Model yang digunakan dalam pengembangan ini adalah model ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu lembar validasi media, lembar validasi soal, angket keterbacaan dan angket respon siswa. Hasil validasi media dan soal dihitung menggunakan persamaan rumus Aiken’s V dan memperoleh nilai berturut-turut sebesar 0,85 dan 0,84 dengan kriteria validitas tinggi serta  percentage of agreement dihitung menggunakan persamaan rumus menurut Borich dan memperoleh nilai berturut-turut sebesar 84,30% dan 88,90% dengan kriteria konsisten dan sangat konsisten. Hasil kepraktisan media articulate storyline berbasis problem solving ditinjau dari angket keterbacaan dan angket respon siswa, memperoleh nilai berturut-turut sebesar 94,50% dan 93,60% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media articulate storyline berbasis problem solving layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi tekanan zat.
