Abstract

The Covid pandemic requires blended learning (a combination of face-to-face and online learning). The low ability to think critically in class makes the learning process not optimal, therefore it is necessary to increase students' critical thinking skills using the Blended-Problem Based Learning learning model. The method used is classroom action research with a sample of 73 semester VI students in the learning media course for Primary School Teacher Education at Padang State University. Students 'initial critical thinking ability was in the very poor category with a percentage of 41%, after the first cycle there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills by 15% and cycle II by 27%. It can be concluded that the Blended-Problem Based Learning learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills

Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity of the corporate flip pdf-based e-book in the Civic Education learning for Grade V of Elementary School. The type of research method used in this study is R&D (Research and Development) research. The development model that will be used in this research is the ADDIE model. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The collected data is analyzed descriptively. The analysis results show that the development process received a percentage rating of 97.5% from content expert validators, 100% from language expert validators, and 95.83% from media expert validators. From the average score calculation of the three validators, a final validation score of 97.77% was obtained, categorized as 'Very Valid'. This result illustrates that the developed e-book is valid and can be used in the classroom learning process.

Abstract

In the era of Society 5.0, the integration of technology into education has become increasingly prevalent; however, its effectiveness in enhancing student learning processes, abilities, and outcomes remains a subject of debate. This study aims to explore the potential of Virtual Reality (VR) as a technological innovation to enhance motivation, understanding, and learning effectiveness in elementary education, particularly in the context of Society 5.0. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature review-based research method. Data were collected and analyzed from various academic sources focusing on the use of VR in elementary education settings. The findings highlighted the significant potential of VR, particularly when integrated with artificial intelligence, to personalize learning, enhance student competencies, and assist teachers in developing intelligent and contextually relevant content. The literature also showed that VR implementation in elementary schools improves students’ motivation, conceptual understanding, and overall learning effectiveness. In conclusion, the application of VR in elementary education demonstrates strong potential as an innovative and adaptive learning tool in line with the goals of Society 5.0. Although challenges such as cost, infrastructure, and teacher readiness persist, the benefits of VR in fostering interactive and student-centered learning make it a valuable area for further research and development.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the suboptimal utilization of technology-based learning media in elementary schools. Classroom learning still largely relies on traditional media such as textbooks, blackboards, and illustrations. The purpose of this research is to develop an interactive, game-based learning medium using Wordwall for Pancasila Education among fourth-grade students at SDN Daerah I Pauh, Padang City. The research applies a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data were collected through questionnaires that had been validated by subject matter experts, media experts, and language experts. The validity assessment results are as follows: the content expert gave a score of 83.3%, categorized as “valid”; the media expert gave a score of 95%, categorized as “very valid”; and the language expert gave a score of 81.25%, also categorized as “valid.” The overall validity score, based on the average percentage, was 86.56%, which falls into the “very valid” category. These findings indicate that the Wordwall-based interactive game medium is highly valid for supporting Pancasila Education learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the importance of improving the competency of elementary school teachers to face the challenges of 21st-century education. The main objective of the activity was to improve teachers' understanding of the concept of deep learning while integrating the Asta Cita character values (collaboration, leadership, and competitiveness) as the foundation of quality education towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. The program was implemented by the Merak Study Group (Kombel) in IV Koto District, Agam Regency, involving teachers, academics, and students. The activity methods included preparation, outreach and training, implementation assistance, evaluation, and follow-up. The results of the activity demonstrated an increase in teachers' understanding of deep learning, their ability to develop innovative teaching tools, and the development of products in the form of modules and digital teaching tools. This activity made a significant contribution to strengthening teacher competency and collaboration between schools, thus playing a strategic role in achieving quality education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the project-based learning process on electrical energy topic in class VI and the improvement of student learning outcomes in science learning on electrical energy topic. This research was conducted on students of class VI with a total of 29 students consisting of 13 males and 16 females. There were three times of data collection in this study which included Pre-Cycle, Cycle 1, and Cycle 2. The results showed that the active involvement of students in learning activities could increase their understanding of the subject matter being taught. In addition, project-based learning by making series and parallel circuits in the implementation of making traffic lights makes students more enthusiastic and active in learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited use of technology in developing teaching materials, despite schools having sufficient facilities. Teachers have not fully utilized these resources due to time constraints and a lack of skills in designing technology based materials. As a result, students often feel bored with monotonous learning content. This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective e-module for Civics Education using Canva in a flipbook format. The research is a development study (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which includes fives stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The e-module was validated by experts in content, language, and media. Its practically was assessed through questionnaires from teachers and students, and its effectiveness was evaluated based on student performance. The result showed that the e-module was valid, practical, and effective for learning. Validator feedback resulted in an overall score of 92.41%, categorized as “Very Valid”. Teacher response indicated practicality with scores of 94.28% at the trial school and 97.14% at the research school. Student responses showed scores of 92.76% at the trial school and 94.62% at the research school, both categorized as “Very Practical”. Effectiveness was proven by improved student learning outcomes at SDN 02 Talang Babungo and SDN 14 Talang Babungo after two learning sessions using the e-module. In conclusion, the Canva based flipbook e-module is valid, practical, and effective for use in grade IV elementary school classrooms.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low Pancasila student profile values in elementary school students, caused by suboptimal learning processes that need to facilitate active student interaction, provide more time for individualized approaches, support 21st-century skills, focus on character development, and leverage technology. Hence, there is a need to develop a learning model that addresses these aspects. This research aims to develop a flipped classroom learning model based on social and emotional learning that is valid and effective in improving the Pancasila student profile values in elementary school students. This research employs the ADDIE model for development and involves nine validators and 200 elementary school students. The research instruments include observation sheets, validation questionnaires, and Pancasila student profile questionnaires. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical analysis and T-test statistical analysis using the JAMOVI application. The results of this study demonstrate that the developed flipped classroom learning model based on social and emotional learning is valid and effective in improving the Pancasila student profile values in elementary school students. The implications of this research can serve as a foundation for developing and enhancing the Pancasila student profile values in elementary school students.

Abstract

Moral cognitive-based learning as an effort to develop elementary school student emotional intelligence needs to be realized in the real life of students to face developments in science and technology. The purpose of this study was to describe the importance of moral cognitive-based development as an effort to develop elementary school student emotional intelligence. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that, in an effort to develop emotional intelligence, elementary school students need to be given moral cognitive in the learning process in the classroom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan rangkaian penelitian pendahuluan dari rencana jangka panjang penelitian tentang pengembangan media flashcard untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan personal hygiene anak usia dini. Target akhir yang ingin dicapai yaitu terciptanya media flashcard sebagai inovasi media pembelajaran anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Research and Development (R&D) yang dilakukan mengacu pada model penelitian dan pengembangan 4D (four-D), yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Hasil uji validitas ahli media menunjukan skor presentase kelayakan sebesar 94% sehingga dinyatakan sangat layak. Sementara itu validitas oleh ahli materi menunjukan skor presentase kelayakan sebesar 93% sehingga dinyatakan sangat layak. Kemudian berdasarkan hasil analisis kelayakan berdasarkan penjabaran skor setiap aspek menunjukan jika nilai presentase menunjukan sebesar 83,3% yang masuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Maka dari itu dapat ditarik kesimpulan jika pengembangan media flashcard personal hynine ini sangat layak dan efektif digunakan dan dapat di disebarkan pada masyarakat.
