Abstract

Internet of things (IoT) becomes the backbone of the advanced countries and it has a real contribute to exchange the traditional style or way of practical life, even personal life into smart style, with (IoT) technology the life become more and more easy and professional. internet of things achieves various applications coordinate with sensors and standard protocols to apply what is called machine -to- machine connection (M2M), in this paper we will talk more about the concept of (M2M), the main component of internet of things and finally the common protocols that is used in network, in addition to that this work present an IOT operation with processing system using camera for capturing image and Xilinx system generator(XSG)models for designing image processing algorithms and the result of the processing is an image with black and white for edge detection and Thresholding models and gray color image for gray enhancement model.

Abstract

Inventory is one component that has an important role in a company. The smooth production process and demand fulfillment will be greatly influenced by how to manage this component properly. PT XYZ, as one of the strategic power generation units in Indonesia, is responsible for providing a stable supply of electricity. As a company that relies on the reliability of machines and spare parts, good inventory management is essential. The problems faced include the inaccuracy in the procurement of spare parts which causes overstock or stockout with a range of around 10% to 20% which can disrupt the operation of the plant. improvements in inventory control are made using the Min-Max Stock and Continuous Review methods, both of which maintain a balance between inventory costs and spare parts availability to compare the smallest total inventory cost including ordering costs and storage costs. In addition, this research has novelty by providing recommendations for mitigating downtime risks to optimize spare parts inventory control in the power generation industry. Based on the results of the calculation of total inventory costs, the min max stock method is proven to be able to produce lower inventory costs and get savings of Rp 159.961.310 or around 25%. This efficiency proves that the application of Min-Max Stock can optimize spare parts inventory costs.

Abstract

Warehouses play an important role in maintaining product quality until the product is delivered to consumers. The many important activities in the warehouse require companies to improve their performance to be effective and efficient in order to maintain trust. ABC Company is a private company engaged in civil construction, landfilling, cut and fill, heavy equipment rental, and spare part distributor. In warehousing activities, there are various activities that don’t have value added or waste. This study aims for identify waste and provide recommendations for improving warehousing activities. The implementation of Lean Warehousing is carried to identifying the warehousing flow process with Value Stream Mapping (VSM), then identifying 7 wastes that occur in the warehousing process using the Waste Assessment Model (WAM) method. The results of the study showed that the waste with the highest percentage level was waste inventory (I) waste overpurchase (O) waste defect (D). From the proposed improvements and Future stream mapping, it was found that the lead time was reduced to 544 minutes, which eliminated 200 minutes of non- value added activity. So that activity increased by 27% from the initial condition.

Abstract

Risk is a known uncertainty while uncertainty is an unknown risk. Risk can only be reduced by risk management. The purpose of this study is to solve the problems at PT. XYZ in the field of LPG tank product manufacturing. The problems experienced by the company are frequent material delays and overproduction. In this study, the problem-solving methods used are the BWM and HOR methods. The results of the study found that material delays are the main risk and with mitigation s trategies to improve supplier selection criteria.

Abstract

The production of carton boxes is an energy-intensive process that generates various contaminants, polluting water and air, and affecting both ecology and human health. This study focuses on the environmental impact during the carton box production process at PT XYZ, aiming to calculate and analyze the environmental impact while measuring the eco-efficiency level of the production process. The research method employed in this study is quantitative descriptive, with primary data sources consisting of interviews, while secondary data includes company reports. Data were processed using SimaPro software and the Eco Indicator 99 method. Eco-efficiency measurement was conducted using the Life Cycle Assessment approach. The results indicate that the production of 1 ton of carton boxes generates an environmental impact of 315 Pt, with the largest contributions coming from the corrugating, folding, and customer delivery stages. The eco-cost value was IDR8,922,503, yielding an eco-efficiency index of 1.34, indicating that the production process is environmentally friendly and economical. However, the eco-efficiency ratio of 25.6% is still considered low, necessitating improvements in energy efficiency and emission reduction. Recommended improvements include substituting fossil fuels with renewable energy, selecting environmentally friendly suppliers, and replacing or modifying machinery to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions.

Abstract

This study aims to identify waste in the 3 kg LPG delivery process at PT Nahatolu Miragas Prima and provide improvement proposals to improve distribution efficiency. The main problem is the delivery lead time that exceeds the estimated ideal time, causing delays to distribution partners. The method used is lean distribution with steps such as data collection of the distribution process, process flow mapping using Value Stream Mapping, and identification of waste based on 8 types of waste. Weighting was done through a questionnaire to determine the most dominant waste, followed by cause analysis using fishbone diagrams and formulation of improvement proposals using the 5W+1H approach. The results showed that the main wastes were in the waste activities of waiting, excess processing, and non-utilized talent. The application of future stream mapping shows the potential to significantly reduce distribution time by reducing the lead time of the distribution process from 732 minutes to 574 minutes. In conclusion, the lean distribution method is effectively used to identify and reduce waste in the LPG distribution flow by increasing the activity of the 3 Kg LPG distribution process by 21,5%.
