Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the influence of transparency and trust on parental participation in MTS Negeri Kecamatan Cakung, Jakarta Timur. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 120 parents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. The primary data collection tool was a structured questionnaire measuring transparency, trust, and parental participation. Descriptive analysis revealed that trust scored higher (M = 4.37, SD = 0.46) than transparency (M = 4.23, SD = 0.54) and parental participation (M = 3.89, SD = 0.61). Correlation analysis showed significant positive relationships among transparency, trust, and parental participation, with trust emerging as a stronger predictor. Regression analysis confirmed that transparency (β=0.32, β=0.32, p < 0.01) and trust (β=0.41, β=0.41, p < 0.001) significantly influence parental participation, collectively explaining 42% of the variance (R2=0.42, R2=0.42). Furthermore, trust was found to moderate the impact of transparency on parental participation. These findings highlight the need for schools to adopt integrated strategies that promote transparent communication and build trust with parents. The study provides practical implications for school leaders, policymakers, and educators to enhance parental engagement, ultimately contributing to better educational outcomes. Future research is encouraged to explore the influence of cultural, socioeconomic, and policy-related factors on school-community partnerships. Keywords: transparency, trust, parental participation, educational engagement, school-community partnerships.

Abstract

Abstract : The study aims to describe the practice/implementation of the transparency of the head of school in the school administration to analyse the needs of the information system of school administration as a basis for the elaboration of a transparency model of the SDN administration. Using the survey methodology with data collection techniques in the form of a lift filled by 248 school committee managers from 40 primary schools, enriched with focused discussions with 40 heads of schools and 40 teachers. The results of the questionnaire are presented and analyzed qualitatively. The results of the research show that the transparency of the government of the state primary school in East Jakarta City is in the category sufficient, but it is potentially to be developed through the information system of the school administration so that the hypothetical model of the transparent government system in SDN can be drawn. It is advised that DKI Jakarta should facilitate the acquisition of the system with its supporting devices, both IT advisor and operator resources. Schools should respond positively if transparency in school governance is implemented.

Abstract

Police leadership education is a substantial investment, yet its effectiveness is seldom evaluated beyond participant satisfaction, and evidence on tiered police managerial education remains scarce. This study evaluates Indonesia's First-Level Staff and Leadership School (Sespimma) using Kirkpatrick's four-level model, aiming to assess reaction, learning, behavior, and results, and to identify the factors that enable and hinder the application of the education. It adopts a qualitative, multi-source case study. An in-depth interview with an alumnus, together with observation and performance documents (LAKIP and IKU), was coded thematically in ATLAS.ti 24 using deductive and inductive coding; open-ended questionnaire responses from sixteen alumni and two supervisors were analyzed as summarized themes, while closed Likert items were reported descriptively as supplementary context. The analysis produced twenty-seven codes across the four levels plus enabling and hindering factors and recommendations. Findings show a positive reaction; gains in management knowledge and in leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; transfer of learning into more systematic managerial practice; and organizational benefits perceived by supervisors, while subordinate readiness and organizational culture condition transfer.
