Abstract

This study examines the reconstruction of philosophy- and theology-based curriculum thought developed by Harun Nasution as a framework for integrating Islamic sciences with general sciences in Islamic higher education. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research analyzes key scholarly works that discuss curriculum reform, the integration of knowledge, and the intellectual transformation of Islamic educational institutions influenced by Nasution’s rational-theological paradigm. The findings indicate that Nasution’s thought promotes an integrative model that harmonizes rationality and spirituality, thereby overcoming the traditional dichotomy between religious and general sciences. His framework emphasizes the incorporation of philosophy, theology, and modern social sciences as foundational pillars for expanding students’ intellectual capacity and fostering critical, analytical, and adaptive thinking. The study also confirms that this paradigm contributed significantly to the institutional transformation from IAIN to UIN and the strengthening of interdisciplinary academic traditions. The study concludes that Nasution’s approach provides a relevant and progressive basis for reconstructing the curriculum of Islamic higher education. Its practical implications include the adoption of discussion-based pedagogies, the enhancement of hermeneutic competence, and increased innovation in interdisciplinary research. Overall, this reconstruction offers a holistic and future-oriented model of Islamic higher education that responds effectively to contemporary global challenges, including those of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the representation of understanding of Islamic values ​​​​in relation to hijab and fashion trends among female students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah, UIN Madura. The focus of the study is directed at three main aspects, namely: (1) female students' understanding of Islamic values ​​​​in selecting hijab and fashion trends, (2) representation of this understanding in the classification of fashion choices, and (3) factors that influence their clothing trend preferences. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data sources were obtained from semi-structured interviews with lecturers, the code of ethics team, the head of the study program, the secretary of the study program, and female students in the third to eighth semesters, supplemented by structured non-participant observation, field documentation, and online questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was maintained by triangulation of sources, methods, extended participation, and diligent observation. The results of the study indicate a diversity of understanding and application of Islamic values ​​​​in selecting hijab and fashion. Some female students place Islamic law as a primary consideration, by choosing loose-fitting sharia clothing, completely covering the aurat, and reflecting the identity of devout Muslim women. Meanwhile, others prioritize comfort, adapting to modern trends, and practical aspects of clothing, without completely abandoning the principle of modesty. These choices are divided into sharia-compliant, semi-formal, and casual clothing categories, each reflecting the dynamic interpretation of Islamic values. Factors influencing preferences include internal factors (religious awareness, educational background, spiritual motivation) and external factors (social environment, social media, and economic conditions).

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of spiritual development of Islamic boarding school students through religious activities that can foster a love of shalawat as part of strengthening religious character. The Ghung Garuda Assembly exists as a forum for development that integrates spiritual values, character education, Islamic art, and social togetherness in shalawat activities. This study examines the strategic role of the Ghung Garuda Assembly in increasing the involvement of Islamic boarding school students in the practice of shalawat at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School Foundation in Lubabatu and analyzes its impact on changes in attitudes and mental conditions of students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field research type. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of caretakers, assembly administrators, and active students involved in activities. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was tested through triangulation of sources and techniques.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of developing students’ morals amidst social developments and changes in the behavior of the younger generation in the educational environment. The implementation of the Love Curriculum is seen as an effort to instill the values of compassion, discipline, responsibility, and social awareness in the teaching of Aqidah Akhlak at MAN 2 Pamekasan. The objectives of this study are, first, to determine the implementation of the Love Curriculum in Aqidah Akhlak teaching and second, to determine its impact on improving students’ morals at MAN 2 Pamekasan. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research method. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving the principal, Aqidah Akhlak teachers, and students as research informants. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested using source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that, first, the implementation of the Love Curriculum is carried out through religious habits, a humanistic approach, teacher role models, motivation, and a good relationship between teachers and students. Second, the implementation has a positive impact on improving students’ morals, such as increasing discipline, courtesy, responsibility, social awareness, and active participation in religious activities.

Abstract

Based on the phenomena that occur amidst the development of the times and the flow of modernization, the existence of the Rokat Tase’ tradition often experiences a shift in values and is even starting to be abandoned by the younger generation. This study aims to; First, describe the process of internalizing the values of Islamic Religious Education in the Rokat Tase’ tradition. Second, the role of the Rokat Tase’ tradition as a medium for character education. Third, the supporting and inhibiting factors for the internalization of the values of Islamic Religious Education in the Rokat Tase’ tradition in the coastal community of Pasean Pamekasan. The Rokat Tase’ tradition is a culture of fishing communities that is carried out as a form of gratitude to Allah SWT for the sustenance and safety given, as well as an effort to ask for blessings in life. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving religious leaders, community leaders, the implementing committee, and the local community. The results of the study show that; First, the internalization of the values of Islamic Religious Education in the Rokat Tase’ tradition is carried out through various religious activities such as religious studies, reading the Qur'an, tahlil, istighasah, group prayers, and alms. The internalized values include religious values, gratitude, trust (Tawakal), social concern, mutual cooperation, togetherness, and responsibility. Second, the Rokat Tase’ tradition serves as a medium for character education that is able to shape the religious, social, cultural character, and independence of coastal communities. Third, supporting factors for the internalization of these values include support from religious and community leaders, high social solidarity, and a religious community environment. Inhibiting factors include the influence of modernization, low understanding of the meaning of tradition among some communities, limited funding, differences in religious views, and minimal involvement of the younger generation. Thus, the Rokat Tase’ tradition not only functions as a local cultural heritage, but also as an effective means of instilling Islamic Religious Education values and shaping the character of the coastal community of Pasean Pamekasan.

Abstract

Teaching children with special needs requires patience and a series of curricula that must be applied, varied methods and media, this is along with the times of the digitalisation era with many challenges that must be resolved. Innovation after innovation must be made, one of which is curriculum adaptation. But not only is the curriculum developed but it must be implemented so that learning for children with disabilities is more focused and successful according to the needs of children with disabilities. This study aims to find out how the implementation of curriculum and instructional adaptations for children with disabilities in inclusive primary schools. The results are that it can be implemented using the escalation, duplication, modification, substitution and omissions models
