Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the brain based learning model integrated with local wisdom on cognitive learning outcomes and student motivation. The type of research used was a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample in the study was determined using the cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used in the research consisted of teaching modules, student worksheets, cognitive learning outcomes tests, and motivation questionnaires which were valid and reliable. Descriptive analysis techniques are carried out by classifying categories of cognitive learning outcomes and student motivation. Meanwhile, inferential analysis was carried out by testing the effect of the learning model applied on cognitive learning outcomes and student motivation. The research results show that there is an influence and increase in cognitive learning outcomes by 53% and student motivation by 52%. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the brain based learning model is more effective in improving cognitive learning outcomes and student motivation compared to the direct instruction model.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains pada pembelajaran fisika masih rendah. Hal ini dikarenakan kurang optimalnya peran peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Model PjBL menjadi salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari perangkat pembelajaran model PjBL yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains pada materi alat – alat optik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D dengan jenis 4-D yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3-D. Tahapan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dimulai dari define, design, dan develop. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi yang dinilai oleh 1 dosen ahli dan 3 mahasiswa/i calon guru fisika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata – rata perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan diatas 81% dengan tingkat kelayakan sangat layak digunakan dengan revisi. Dengan demikian, perangkat pembelajaran ini sudah sangat layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya physics identity peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran fisika. Rendahnya physics identity peserta didik ini diakibatkan media yang belum sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran interaktif fisika menggunakan 3D Aplication Scratch untuk meningkatkan physics identity peserta didik dengan menggunakan model 4D. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen angket validasi. Teknik analisis data dengan merata-ratakan skor penilaian yang kemudian dikonversikan dengan kategori yang sudah ditetapkan. Hasil uji kelayakan media pembelajaran pada aspek Desain Komunikasi Visual didapatkan skor rata-rata 3.90 atau 98%, aspek Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak diperoleh 3.90 atau 98% dan aspek Kualitas Media Pembelajaran diperoleh 3.80 atau 95%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, pengembangan media pembelajaran fisika dengan berbatuan 3D Aplication Scratch pada topik gelombang bunyi untuk meningkatkan physics identity peserta didik sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran fisika dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Hasil studi ini merekomendasikan aplikasi Scratch 3D agar lebih banyak digunakan dalam penelitian selanjutnya untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar interaktif dan visual dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik tentang konsep fisika dan mendorong menemukan hal-hal baru.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di SMP IT Syuhada melalui pendampingan dalam penyusunan desain pembelajaran berbasis meaningful dan mindful. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, serangkaian pelatihan dan workshop kolaboratif telah dilaksanakan berfokus pada perancangan perangkat ajar yang inovatif, relevan, dan menstimulasi keterlibatan aktif peserta didik. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup identifikasi kebutuhan guru, memberikan literatur tentang pembelajaran meaningful dan mindful, demonstrasi praktik, dan pendampingan intensif dalam pengembangan desain pembelajaran. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan kemampuan guru untuk mengintegrasikan prinsip meaningful dan mindful learning dalam setiap aspek pembelajaran. Guru berhasil merancang pengalaman belajar yang adaptif, kontekstual, dan memfasilitasi pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreatif, karakter peserta didik. Selain itu, aktivitas ini membantu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kemandirian guru dalam menyiapkan perangkat ajar. Pendampingan berkelanjutan sangat penting dalam upaya untuk mendorong guru mengintegrasikan teori meaningful dan mindful learning dalam praktik kelas sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Scratch 3D-based learning media on vector material that is deemed feasible based on the assessment results of validators. The development method used in this research is the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The data analysis technique employed was the calculation of average scores. The feasibility or validity test of the teaching module was conducted by five expert validators. The feasibility test results indicated scores of 95% for visual communication design, 95% for software engineering, 95% for the quality of learning media, and 100% for cognitive learning outcomes. Based on these results, the Scratch 3D-based learning media is declared feasible. This study concludes that the development of Scratch 3D-based learning media on vector material successfully meets the required criteria and can be utilized as an alternative learning medium for physics education in high schools.

Abstract

Learning tools can help teachers in a directed learning process. This study aims to produce problem-based learning physics learning tools to improve student's critical thinking skills that are appropriate for work and energy materials. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D development model consisting of four stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The learning tools developed are in the form of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKPD), and learning outcomes assessment instruments in the form of multiple choices. The tool used in the development stage is a validation sheet. Learning device validation was carried out by expert lecturers and three students. The results of filling out the validation sheet were analyzed to calculate the percentage and then categorized in the cumulative score range. The research results obtained through the feasibility test of lesson plans, worksheets, and learning outcomes assessment instruments show that the development of problem-based learning tools has a very feasible category with a score above 80%. Based on these results, problem-based learning physics learning tools to improve critical thinking skills are appropriate for use in the learning process.

Abstract

It is very important to introduce good food and snacks to students. This is useful for maintaining the health of students when consuming snacks in the school canteen. This service aims to increase students' knowledge and attitudes towards types of food that contain artificial sweeteners and dyes through simple demonstration methods. The service method is a pretest and posttest experimental research using test instruments and questionnaires. The population in this study were students at SMPN 5 Cianjur, West Java. The sample was selected randomly so that 37 students were selected. Data analysis using comparative descriptive. The results of this study were (1) a simple demonstration method could increase students' knowledge of the type of food based on n.gain dye 0.75 (high) and sweetener n-gain 0.69 (medium); (2) students' attitudes about food coloring and sweeteners are at a good level. (3) The relationship between the aspects of attitude and knowledge in this service includes the domain of disciplinary attitude towards sweeteners (0.92) and 0.442 dyes, the creative domain for sweeteners 0.789 and dyes 0.416, the domain of responsibility for sweetener aspects 0.279 and dyes 0.407. The introduction of food snacks through effective methods increases students' knowledge of sweeteners and food coloring that are healthy.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a problem–based learning video delivered through Google Sites on the topic of light waves and to examine its practicality and effectiveness in improving students’ mathematical representation and critical thinking skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, from analysis to evaluation. Feasibility assessments were conducted by physics lecturers and teachers, while field implementation involved students of MAN 3 Sleman in the 2024/2025 academic year, selected through cluster random sampling. Research instruments consisted of pretest–posttest assessments and questionnaires, and data analysis included expert validation, students’ responses, and multivariate effectiveness testing. The results indicate that the developed instructional video is feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing mathematical representation and critical thinking skills. The novelty of this study lies in integrating problem–based learning into an interactive video format organized within a structured Google Sites ecosystem. Practically, the product enables teachers to use the video as a problem-triggering medium and as support for students’ independent learning processes.

Abstract

An e-LKPD based on guided inquiry has been developed using liveworksheets on the subject of heat and its transfer. The primary objective of this paper is to generate an inquiry-based e-LKPD that is demonstrably feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing students' critical thinking ability and mathematical representation. The methodology adopted for this development study adheres to the ADDIE model. The sampling procedure employed in the study utilized the cluster random sampling technique. Data acquisition was carried out using both testing and non-testing instruments. For the analysis of the gathered data, several techniques were applied: Aiken's V statistic was used for instrument validation, SBI was applied to the student response questionnaires, and the effectiveness analysis utilized MANOVA and GLM. This study’s main results are: (1) the inquiry-based e-LKPD utilizing Liveworksheet is suitable for deployment in advancing critical thinking and mathematical representation, as confirmed by assessments from expert validators, practitioners, and peers. (2) the developed e-LKPD is operationally practical for fostering these skills, evidenced by feedback collected through student response questionnaires concerning the learning medium. (3) the inquiry-based e-LKPD is demonstrably effective in enhancing students' critical thinking and mathematical representation, based on the improvement observed in students' pre-test and post-test scores following the use of the developed resource. A distinctive feature of this research lies in the seamless integration of the guided inquiry e-LKPD with the Liveworksheet. This integration allows students access to the learning material at any time, thereby contributing to the advancement of their critical thinking and mathematical representation ability.

Abstract

This research developed and validated a Scratch-assisted Jigsaw learning instrument for teaching physics measurement concepts. It also investigated the model's impact on students' creative thinking skills and scientific literacy. A True Experimental Research design with a quantitative approach, using a pre-test post-test control group, was employed. The instrument underwent rigorous validation, including feasibility assessments and field tests. Effect size analysis determined the model’s impact. The developed instruments met eligibility standards and significantly enhanced students' creative thinking and scientific literacy. Hypothesis testing showed a significance value below 0.05. Effect sizes for creative thinking (0.33) and scientific literacy (0.32) were both medium, indicating a noticeable positive impact. The Scratch-assisted Jigsaw model is a reliable and effective approach, offering a valuable and innovative alternative for improving physics education quality by enhancing creative thinking and scientific literacy.
