The study sampled 15-24-year-olds who had sexual intercourse with as many as 1532 people. Data were analyzed univariately while  bivariate analysis using Chi-Square test and multivariate analysis with logistic regression test of the risk factor model. The results showed unwanted pregnancy occurred in 8.6% of adolescents who had a history of having sexual intercourse. In addition, it will be 4.5 times greater risk of unwanted pregnancy occurred in adolescents who performed risky behaviors such as fingering and stimulating each other after being controlled by variable confounding age and age when first having sex (PR = 4.570). Therefore, equal access to reproductive health education is needed both in educational institutions and in the community as an effort to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the understanding and behavior of teenagers regarding the implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Practices (PHBS) by using the snakes and ladders game as a supporting tool. The area, especially in Ogan Ilir Regency, especially Pipa Putih Village, has been chosen as a focus for reducing the stunting rate, which in 2022 will reach 24.9%. One of the factors that has been identified as a cause of stunting is an unclean environment, this is in line with previous research which emphasizes the importance of PHBS. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with one group as the research subject. The snakes and ladders game was chosen as an intervention tool to increase teenagers' understanding and attitudes towards PHBS. The study results showed a significant increase in adolescents' understanding after the intervention, although not statistically significant in attitudes. The snakes and ladders game is recognized as an effective tool in increasing teenagers' knowledge about PHBS, in line with the efforts of the government and related institutions to improve public health. The use of games as a medium in health education promises to make learning more enjoyable and increase learning motivation. It is hoped that this research can become a basis for developing a wider intervention program to improve PHBS in society, especially in groups of teenagers who have the potential to be agents of change. Abstract

Adolescent drug misuse self-efficacy pertains to an individual's ideas regarding their capacity and potential to conquer drug addiction and prevent relapse. The objective of the study was to examine the self-efficacy of male adolescent convicts at Child Development Institute (LPKA) Palembang City in their ability to cease drug use. This study employed a quantitative methodology utilizing a cross-sectional research design. The sample comprised 111 adolescents aged 15-24 who engaged in drug addiction at (LPKA) Palembang City. The independent variables include age, education, knowledge, emotional state, and social modeling, whereas the dependent variable is self-efficacy. The analysis employed univariate, bivariate, and multivariate methods. The findings indicate that 45.9% of the respondents had high self-efficacy, while 54.1% had low self-efficacy. Additionally, there is a significant correlation between the age of the respondents (p=0.004, PR=3.360, 95% CI (1.523-7.413)), their knowledge (p=0.000, PR=8.017, 95%CI (2.976-21.597)), emotional state (p=0.004, PR=3.334, 95%CI (1.515-7.339)), and social modeling (p=0.011, PR =3.333, 95% CI (1.377-8.070)) with their self-efficacy. However, the education level variable (p=0.700, PR=0.790) showed no correlation with self-efficacy. Knowledge emerged as the primary factor influencing self-efficacy (p=0.000, PR=7.153, 95% CI (2.375-21.549)) after accounting for age, social modelling and emotional state. The formation of self-efficacy to cease drug abuse is influenced by a deep understanding of the perils associated with drugs Intensive education from health workers together with LPKA administrators is needed to improve the self-efficacy of adolescent boys who abuse drugs so that they can stop using drugs.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Verbal sexual harassment, “catcalling,” has been experienced by many adolescents. In 2018, the National Study on Sexual Harassment and Assault released that 38% of men and 77% of women aged 18 years and above had experienced verbal sexual harassment. Victims' experiences are often ignored because society perceives them as catcalling, not abuse. Objectives: This study aims to identify the experiences and views of adolescents regarding social values related to verbal sexual harassment otherwise known as “catcalling”. Methods: Researchers used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design which was conducted in March 2022. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique involving 26 informants aged 12-23. The key informants comprised eight victims, two perpetrators, and sixteen non-victims. Meanwhile, expert key informants were the Head of WCC Palembang Companion, the Head of the Women's Protection Division at the Palembang PPPAPM Office and the Head of the Division for Prevention of Bullying and Sexual Violence on Campus. Results: The results indicate that most informants know about catcalling. However, it is often underestimated because it has become common, and there are no sanctions for the perpetrators. Generally, catcalling occurs in crowded places such as roadsides and men's hangouts. Catcalling is usually done by strangers, especially to women for fun, and society tends to negatively stigmatize victims. Conclusions: It is hoped that those around the victim can provide positive support. In addition, the government and educational institutions need to increase education and establish clear regulations to prevent sexual harassment, including catcalling.
