Abstract

This study aimed at determining (1) leadership of headmaster’s Vocational School of PGRI Tanjung Raja as academic supervisor; (2) the teachers’ performance of Vocational School of PGRI Tanjung Raja; and (3) the influence of headmaster's leadership on the teachers’ performance of Vocational School of PGRI Tanjung Raja. This research was quantitative research with expostfacto approach. The population in this study were the teachers of Vocational School PGRI Tanjung Raja consist of 85 teachers and then the sample was 60 teachers which selected by area proportional random sampling technique. The data collection instrument was questionnaire with Likert scale which has 4 alternative answers, on 100 items. The data analysis was used simple regression analysis technique. The results showed (1) leadership of headmaster’s Vocational School of PGRI Tanjung Raja according to some teachers (52%) high category; then (2) the teachers’ performance of Vocational School PGRI Tanjung Raja (52%) high category; and (3) there is a positive and significant influence of headmaster leadership as academic supervisor on teachers’ performance 65,1% happened to teacher’s performance can be explained by headmaster leadership as academic supervisor, while 80,7% other explained by other variable not included in this study such as teacher’s knowledge, teachers’ personality, dedication, professional development, and so forth.Kata Kunci: Headmaster’s Leadership, Teachers’ Performance, Vocational School PGRI Tanjung Raja

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the significant effect of principals' managerial competence and academic supervision on teacher performance. This study aims to determine the effect of principals 'managerial competence on teacher performance, the effect of academic supervision on teacher performance and the influence of principals' managerial competence and academic supervision together on teacher performance. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Martapura. In this study using quantitative descriptive method. The research method used is the test method of correlation, partial and simultaneous using the SPSS 16.0 program. The results of this study indicate, 1) there is a significant influence of managerial competence of principals on teacher performance; 2) there is a significant influence of academic supervision on teacher performance; 3) there is a significant influence on the principal's managerial competence and academic supervision on teacher performance. The conclusion is that there is a significant influence on the principal's managerial competence and academic supervision on the performance of teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Martapura.

Abstract

This study determined the effect of Principal’s leadership and the Role of School Committee for the Success of School Based Management at Senior High School Negeri 1 Sirah Pulau Padang. This study used quantitative methods. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression partial correlation and multiple correlation.This study showed that; 1) there is significant influence between principal's leadership on school-based management at SMA Negeri 1 Sirah Pulau Padang; 2) there is significant influence between the role of the school committee on school-based management at SMA Negeri 1 Sirah Pulau Padang. 3) there is simultaneously influence among Principal’s leadership and the Role of School Committee for the Success of School Based Management at Senior High School Negeri 1 Sirah Pulau Padang. The implication of the research is that the Principal’s leadership and the Role of School Committee for the Success of School must be considered in improving school-based management so that the educational goals will be optimal.

Abstract

Teachers are one of the main components that determine the success of a school in achieving its goals because teachers are the transferors of knowledge in learning. Performance or work achievement can be interpreted as the achievement of a person’s work, but in reality, there are still many teachers whose performance is less than optimal. So that teachers can improve their performance, the role of the principal as supervisor is needed. This research will be carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Gunung Megang. This research uses descriptive research type. The results obtained show that there is an influence on each variable, namely, that there is a significant influence of organizational culture on teacher performance 98.6%, there is a significant influence of the principal’s academic supervision on teacher performance 83.3% and there is a significant influence of organizational culture and academic supervision of the principal together on teacher performance 99.2%. Meanwhile, the remaining 0.8% is influenced by other factors that are not included in this research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepe-mimpinan, pengetahuan manajemen, ketahanmalangan, dan buda-ya organisasi terhadap prestasi kerja Kepala Sekolah Dasar di kota Palembang. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan pen-dekatan kausalitas. Sampel penelitian 115 Kepala Sekolah Dasar dan diambil secara random. Analisis data menggunakan path analysis untuk menguji pengaruh langsung atau tidak langsung antar-variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel ketahan-malangan lebih besar pengaruhnya terhadap prestasi kerja melalui ke-pemimpinan kepala sekolah, yakni sebesar 37,69%, pengaruh langsung kepemimpinan terhadap prestasi kerja kepala sekolah sebesar 30,91%. Ketahanmalangan berpengaruh langsung terhadap budaya organisasi sekolah sebesar 27,35%. Budaya organisasi ber-pengaruh langsung terhadap kepemimpinan kepala sekolah sebesar 25,88%. Pengetahuan manajemen berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap kepemimpinan sebesar 20,88%, dan variabel ketahan-malangan berpengaruh langsung terhadap kemampuan manajemen sebesar 19,27%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa faktor penentu ke-berhasilan kepala sekolah atau prestasi kerja kepala sekolah dipe-ngaruhi oleh kepemimpinan, pengetahuan tentang manajemen sekolah, ketahanmalangan dalam menjalankan tugasnya, serta budaya organisasi yang tinggi yang perlu dipelihara dan dikembang-kan oleh kepala sekolah.Kata kunci: kepemimpinan, pengetahuan manajemen, ketahanmalangan, budaya organisasi, dan prestasi kerja______________________________________________________________THE DETERMINING FACTORS FOR THE HEADMASTERS’ SUCCESS Syarwani AhmadFKIP Universitas PGRI PalembangJl. The sample was 115 headmasters chosen randomly. This research used survey method with causal approach. Path analysis is used to test direct and indirect effects of variables. The results show that: 1) the perseverane has greater effect on the work achievement through the headmasters’ leadership (37,69%); 2) the direct influence of leadership on headmasters’ achievement is 30.91%; 3) the perseverance affected directly the culture of the school organization (27.35%); 4)the organizational culture affected directly the headmasters’ leadership (25.88%); 5) the management knowledge affected directly the leadership (20.88%). And finally, the aperseverance directly affected management knowledge (19.27%). They proved that the headmasters’ achievement is affected by the leadership, management knowledge, perseverance in doing their duties, and having a great work culture as headmasters.Keywords: leadership, knowledge management, adversity, work culture, and work achievements

Abstract

Bercerita menggunakan boneka tangan ialah metode penyajian narasi dengan memakai perlengkapan peraga berbentuk boneka yang dimasukkan serta digerakan oleh tangan. Boneka dipilih karena cocok dengan karakter anak umur 4 – 5 tahun yang dapat melangsungkan respetentatif dunia pada tingkatan yang kongkrit. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengembangan boneka tangan berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai media pendidikan antikorupsi pada anak usia dini. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengembangkan boneka tangan berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai media pendidikan antikorupsi pada anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan atau R&D. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penilaian validator ahli materi mendapatkan persentase kelayakan sebesar 88% sehingga penilaian yang dicapai validator ahli materi mendapatkan kategori “Sangat Valid (dapat digunakan tanpa revisi)” sedangkan penilaian validator ahli media mendapatkan persentase kelayakan sebesar 91% sehingga penilaian yang dicapai validator ahli media mendapatkan kategori “Sangat Valid (dapat digunakan tanpa revisi)” kemudian hasil validasi penilaian guru mendapatkan persentase kelayakan sebesar 94% sehingga penilaian yang dicapai oleh guru mendapatkan kategori “Sangat Valid (dapat digunakan tanpa revisi)”. Dari ketiga penilaian validator mendapat nilai rata-rata 91%, maka disimpulkan boneka tangan berbasis kearifan lokal ini mendapat kategori “Sangat Layak.”

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to analyze the effect of the principal's academic supervision on the teaching quality; 2) to analyze the influence of school culture on the teaching quality; 3) to analyze jointly academic supervision of the principal and school culture on the teaching quality. The samples of this study were 47 PNS teachers and 10 non-PNS teachers. Data collection techniques were 1) questionnaire; 2) documentation. The data analysis technique uses the SPSS Version 21 software program application. The results showed that 1) there is significant effect of the principal's academic supervision on the teaching quality; 2) there is a significant effect of school culture on the quality of teaching; 3) there is a significant effect of principal academic supervision and school culture together on the teaching quality of teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih.

Abstract

This research was conducted through a qualitative approach. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The instruments used were observation sheets, interview guides, audio and video recording devices and teacher administrative documents. For data testing, data triangulation techniques are used. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the following steps data collection; data reduction; data display, and verification and conclusion. The results showed that 1) the pedagogical competence of the teacher in managing the learning process at SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih was classified as good; 2) the obstacles faced by teachers in managing the learning process are teachers' lack of understanding of the 2013 curriculum; scoring system; teachers only rely on textbooks or teacher handbooks in delivering learning materials without trying to find other relevant learning sources; lack of use of learning media; and teachers' inadequate ICT skills; 3) there has been no real effort made by the majority of teachers in overcoming obstacles faced in the management of the learning process.

Abstract

This study determined the implementation of learning management used by teachers in improving student achievement. The data collection methods are observation, interview and documentation, then checking the validity of the data by comparing the information provided by the informant and the observation data with the results of the interview, then the data is analyzed qualitatively. From the results of the study, it was found that: 1) the implementation of learning management by teachers in improving student achievement was carried out by identifying, objectives, benefits, planning steps, planning stages, including indicators or quality targets to be achieved as a process of increasing learning achievement students in order to realize the quality of education; 2) the inhibiting factor for the implementation of learning management at SDN in Babat Toman Subdistrict, Musi Banyuasin Regency, namely the lack of awareness of teachers to compile lesson plans, many students are passive in implementing learning even though they have been given a stimulus by the teacher and the lack of variation in assessments carried out by the teacher and too many students so the time allocation for conducting the assessment is insufficient or difficult; 3) a solution to overcoming obstacles, namely by conducting trainings on how to compile a good syllabus and lesson plans applying learning strategies that are evaluated by varying assessment techniques.

Abstract

The school environment is a physical and non-physical situation that occurs within the purview of the school. The school atmosphere is assisting instructors in developing motivation. As a result, the purpose of this study was to prove hypotheses regarding the effect of the school environment and extrinsic motivation on teacher performance. The quantitative descriptive approach was employed in the implementation of this research. The population is 125 persons, with 30 people serving as a trial sample and 95 people serving as the study's main sample. Data was collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation approaches. In this study, data were analyzed using inferential statistics such as simple correlation tests, multiple correlation tests, t-tests, and f-tests Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, Jejawi District. According to the findings of the study, the school environment and extrinsic motivation have an impact on the performance of State Junior High School teachers in Jejawi District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, both partially and concurrently.
