Abstract

Self-Efficacy is one of the factors that can affect students' mathematical communication ability. Focus Self-Efficacy in this study, namely students' self-confidence in mathematical communication ability in written mathematics, especially material systems of linear equations. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect Self-Efficacy on the mathematical communication ability of class X MAN 2 Malang. This research approach uses a quantitative causal comparative method. The sample in this study amounted to 32 students obtained from the sampling technique simple random sampling. Obtaining data in this study is in the form of related questionnaire results Self-Efficacy consisting of 25 statement items and 4 descriptive test items to measure students' mathematical communication ability. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical communication ability are influenced by Self-Efficacy 81.7% which is categorized as very strong and the remaining 18.3% is influenced by other factors. Thus, it can be stated that Self-Efficacy has a significant effect on the mathematical communication ability of class X MAN 2 Malang students in the material of systems of linear equations. Therefore, teachers must continue to encourage increasing student Self-Efficacy. Abstract

The presence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in shrimp ponds needs to be a concern because it is an opportunistic pathogen. Although V. parahaemolyticus can aid shrimp digestion, an increase in its population can negatively impact shrimp conditions. Currently, there are concerns about antibiotic-resistant V. parahaemolyticus due to the use of antibiotics in aquaculture activities. Antibiotic resistance is not only caused by unwise use of antibiotics but can also occur due to mutations between bacteria in the aquatic environment. Therefore, it is important to determine the presence or absence of antibiotic-resistant V. parahaemolyticus from shrimp farming activities in ponds. Early detection will be crucial for policymakers regarding the use of antibiotics in pond shrimp farming and provide information for shrimp farmers about the effectiveness of the antibiotic use they have taken. This study aims to observe antibiotic resistance in V. parahaemolyticus bacteria obtained from ponds in South Sulawesi Province. Based on observations made in four districts, the results showed that no V. parahaemolyticus was found to be resistant to the three types of antibiotics tested. It can be concluded that shrimp from ponds in South Sulawesi Province are still free from antibiotic-resistant V. parahaemolyticus. Nevertheless, continuous vigilance and monitoring of this problem is still needed to maintain the sustainability of the shrimp farming industry and food safety

Abstract

This study examines the psychology of the main character in the novel Rumah Tanpa Cahaya by Regita-Lenn Liu. The research aims to identify the psychological conflict experienced by the main character, Natta, through Sigmund Freud's personality theory (id, ego, superego) that illustrates the mental turmoil caused by family dynamics. The methodology used is hermeneutic qualitative analysis, focusing on symbolic and textual interpretation. The results of the analysis show that Natta experiences internal conflict between desire (id), reality (ego), and moral values (superego), especially in her relationship with her younger brother, Alie, who is ostracised by his family. This conflict shapes Natta's decisions, showing that the id has an important role in the positive actions she takes, despite going against her social environment. This study reveals that psychological elements in novels can provide an in-depth understanding of the complexity of characters and their impact on the storyline. The implication is that psychological analysis of literature helps readers understand personality dynamics in fictional narratives and their relevance to real-life conflicts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the ethnomathematical values contained in traditional games in West Java, namely bekles or beklen. This study uses an ethnographic research design with a qualitative research approach. The object of this research is the rules of the game and the object of the game itself. The research subjects were two resource persons consisting of 1 child aged 8 years and 1 teenager aged 13 years. This research is located on Jl. Raden Soleh, RT 01 RW 05 Sindangsari Village, Kec. Kadupandak, Kab. Cianjur, West Java. Data was collected by using the methods of documentation, interviews, and observations. The results of this study indicate that there are ethnomathematical values contained in traditional bekles games, namely the concept of integers from 1 to 10, the concept of modulu or remainder of division, the shape of the ball space, and probability. In addition, it can also be used as a problem in learning physics about the material of upper vertical motion and free fall motion. Based on the research results, it is known that the potential for ethnomathematics development in traditional bekles games is very large, which can be used as materials, teaching materials, or learning media such as student worksheets (LKPD).
