Abstract

Abstract

A santri should have motivation in reciting the Quran, but in a pesantren in the Ciputat area, which are supported by so many UIN Jakarta students; their interest and motivation in reciting tends to have decreased. Therefore, several external factors are needed to revive motivation in reciting Quran for santri, by providing motivation for reciting by the ustadz at the pesantren. So, in this study discusses the communication of ustadz with students, supporting factors and inhibiting motivation of students in recitung. This study uses a qualitative method with a constructivism paradigm. FIRO is used as the theory, proposed by William C, Schutz which explains one's orientation towards others. The results of the study show that the form of communication between Ustadz and Santi at Luhur sabilussalam Islamic boarding school is openness, empathy, providing support, providing teaching with a sense of humor and equality in establishing relationships. Furthermore, the form of motivation gived by ustadz with the Luhur sabilussalam Islamic boarding school students is giving gifts to students who are enthusiastic recitingQuran, telling the story of the clergy, giving praise, giving encouragement, giving an overview of future prospects. The supporting factors are the presence of an ustadz who has credibility by carrying out two-way communication, and the inhibiting factor is the lack of understanding of the character of the students, the verbalistic students are sleepy.

Abstract

Indonesia, as the world’s largest archipelagic state, possesses a rich maritime heritage shaped by centuries of seafaring and coastal livelihoods. However, national development has long prioritized land-based sectors, marginalizing maritime culture within policy frameworks. This study aims to analyze how maritime-based development policies can serve as instruments for revitalizing maritime culture and to identify the challenges and opportunities for their implementation. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research draws upon Edward III’s policy implementation theory to examine policy communication, resource adequacy, bureaucratic structure, and implementers’ disposition as determinants of success. Data were obtained through documentation studies, secondary data from government institutions, and semi-structured interviews with policymakers, cultural actors, and coastal community leaders. The findings reveal that while comprehensive legal instruments such as Law No. 5 of 2017 on Cultural Advancement and Presidential Regulation No. 16 of 2017 on Indonesian Marine Policy exist, implementation remains weak due to fragmented inter-agency coordination, limited resources, and insufficient political commitment. Some local innovations, such as culture-based marine schools and regional maritime heritage mapping, demonstrate potential best practices. The study concludes that revitalizing maritime culture requires integrating socio-cultural values into policy planning, strengthening institutional capacity, and involving coastal communities as key actors. Such efforts are essential to transform maritime culture from a symbolic narrative into a substantive foundation for sustainable and inclusive national development.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of advertising exposure, advertising attractiveness, and advertising strength on consumers’ purchasing decisions. Drawing on advertising and consumer behavior perspectives, the research investigates how different dimensions of advertising effectiveness shape decision-making processes. The independent variables comprise advertising exposure, advertising attractiveness, and advertising strength, while purchasing decision serves as the dependent variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to 400 respondents selected through probability sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to assess both the individual and simultaneous effects of the proposed predictors on purchasing decisions. The findings indicate that advertising exposure, advertising attractiveness, and advertising strength each exert a significant positive influence on purchasing decisions. Furthermore, the three dimensions collectively contribute substantially to explaining variations in consumer purchasing behavior. These results highlight the importance of designing advertisements that are not only visible but also appealing and persuasive in order to enhance their impact on consumer decisions. The study contributes to the advertising literature by providing empirical evidence on the multidimensional role of advertising effectiveness in shaping purchasing behavior within a local urban context. However, as the research was conducted in Bandar Lampung City, the generalizability of the findings may be limited. Future research is encouraged to incorporate additional explanatory variables and extend the investigation to different geographical settings to strengthen the robustness and applicability of the results. Abstract

Abstract

Along the Musi River, there are transportation activities involving both passenger and cargo transport. However, all these activities are affected by the Musi River’s tidal fluctuations. Cargo transport on the Musi River is heavily dependent on the tidal conditions. The dimensions of the ships operating in the Musi River are determined by the river’s depth, which is influenced by these tidal changes. Consequently, the draft of the vessel that can operate is limited by the prevailing depth conditions of the river. This study aims to identify the highest and lowest tidal levels in the Musi River, determine the tidal pattern type, and forecast tidal conditions for December 2026. The methodology employed in this research is the Admiralty Method, which is based on observational data collected over 29 days, ensuring high accuracy in the results. From the research findings, the highest tide reached 551 cm, while the lowest tide recorded was 215 cm, resulting in a tidal range of 336 cm. The type of tidal pattern observed in the Musi River is classified as a mixed prevailing diurnal type, with a HHWL of 557.71 cm, a MSL of 364.5 cm, and a LLWL of 171.26 cm. Based on the tidal forecast for December 2026, the highest tide is projected at 511.1 cm, while the lowest is 219.3 cm, resulting in a tidal range of 291.9 cm. This research is anticipated to provide valuable insights into determining safe ship dimensions for navigation on the Musi River
