Abstract

This study looks into how important human resources (HR) are to Indonesia's Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) as they embark on a digital transformation. The study uses a quantitative method with a sample of 568 participants and focuses on the impact of staff skills, digital strategy, employee retention, and satisfaction. The findings indicate that there are complex interactions at play: employee skills show a negative correlation with the speed at which digital transformation is occurring, but employee retention, satisfaction, and digital strategy have a beneficial impact on both digital transformation and competitiveness in the global market. The study gives HR professionals useful insights and draws attention to the complex factors that will determine MSMEs' digital future. This study adds to the growing body of knowledge on HR and digital transformation by offering insightful recommendations for businesses attempting to navigate the challenging terrain of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Abstract

In order to better understand the complex links between infrastructure development, education, tourism, agriculture, and regional economic growth in Indonesia, this study uses structural equation modeling with partial least squares, or SEM-PLS. The research makes use of a 287-observation dataset and applies rigorous measurement model evaluation, bootstrapping analysis, structural model estimation, and model validation against multiple fit indices. The results show a strong positive correlation between each sector—agriculture, tourism, education, and infrastructure development—and regional economic expansion. The necessity for comprehensive, integrated development strategies is highlighted by the interconnectedness of these interactions. In order to promote balanced and resilient regional economic growth, the findings provide policymakers with useful insights and highlight the significance of ongoing investments in infrastructure, education, and sustainable tourism and agricultural practices.

Abstract

Social entrepreneurship in agriculture develops in line with the development of social entrepreneurship. The lack of interest among the younger generation in working in agriculture remains a significant challenge to the development of social entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector, particularly in West Java Province. This study aims to develop a strategy for cultivating agricultural social entrepreneurs among millennial generation farmers, based on the primary challenges in developing agricultural social entrepreneurs and the readiness of millennial farmers in West Java, as well as other stakeholders, to apply the concept of social entrepreneurship to agricultural businesses. The research uses qualitative studies to comprehensively capture the problem situation in developing the human resource capacity of millennial generation farmers, especially in rural West Java. The results of the research indicate that two progressive strategies (SO) need to be implemented. Firstly, the millennial farmer community must ensure that assistance programs from both the government and other parties run smoothly and involve as many parties as possible that may be positively affected. The second strategy is that millennial entrepreneurs, through the use of technology, must innovate to enhance the branding and marketing of processed agricultural products, leveraging existing government programs for support.

Abstract

Objectives: The objective of this research is to study and explore the implementation of entrepreneurial values among young farmers in West Java and its relationship with empowerment programs, capital structure, self-reliance, and innovation in agriculture. Methodology: A sample of 103 young farmers from various districts in West Java participated in the study. Quantitative analysis, including descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, and path analysis using Smart PLS, was conducted to examine the relationship between entrepreneurial values, self-reliance in agriculture, and innovation in agriculture. Finding: The findings show that young farmers in West Java exhibit moderate levels of entrepreneurial values, with particular emphasis on initiative and creativity. In addition, the analysis shows a positive correlation between entrepreneurial values and empowerment programs, capital structure, self-reliance in agriculture, and innovation in agriculture. The analysis further confirmed that entrepreneurial values are significantly predicted by empowerment programs, capital structure, innovation, and self-reliance in agriculture among young farmers. This study also shows that self-reliance could directly predict entrepreneurial values without capital structure as an intervening variable. These findings highlight the importance of fostering entrepreneurial values among young farmers through empowerment program intervention, providing access to capital structure, promoting agricultural innovation, and encouraging their self-reliance. Policymakers and stakeholders in agriculture should focus on providing training programs and support mechanisms that can foster an entrepreneurial mindset and skills among young farmers in West Java. Conclusion: The need to promote entrepreneurial values among young West Java farmers by boosting empowerment programs, self-reliance, and agricultural innovation with the support of capital structure access. The agricultural sector may become more robust, flexible, and sustainable, boosting regional growth and wealth. Further research should examine how entrepreneurial ideals affect self-reliance and creativity in agriculture and how young farmers might adopt them.
