Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between workload and job stress among logistics employees at PT. Wahana Lintas Nusantara, highlighting the role of work-life balance as a mediator. In the logistics industry, high workloads often lead to job stress, which negatively impacts employee well-being and company productivity. This research involved 120 operational employees as respondents, who completed questionnaires related to workload, job stress, and work-life balance. Path analysis was employed to identify both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that workload has a significant positive effect on job stress, indicating that the higher the workload experienced by employees, the greater the level of stress they feel. However, work-life balance plays a significant mediating role, where a balanced work and personal life can mitigate the negative impact of workload on job stress. These findings suggest that company efforts to support work-life balance, such as flexible work schedules, adequate leave, and mental health programs, can help employees manage stress and enhance their well-being. This study provides valuable insights for the management of PT. Wahana Lintas Nusantara in designing policies that promote work-life balance for employees. Furthermore, it contributes to the academic literature on the relationship between workload, job stress, and work-life balance in the logistics sector, particularly in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the electronic cigarette user about their lifestyle profile, health perception, product experience and how this contribute to their switching behaviour from conventional cigarette to be e-cigarette user. This online survey with sample used consisted of 100 respondents in Surabaya. Indonesia - who are currently use electronic cigarette, as dual user or already fully switched from conventional cigarettes. Sampling was conducted randomly through an online questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) methodology. The results of this research indicate that product experience use have significant and strong influence to the switching decision. Health perception also have significant and positive influence in switching behaviour, meanwhile the the Lifestyle apparently have weak influence to switching behaviour. The implication of this study can be used by business to tailor marketing communication strategy for middle-upper social segment where to emphasize more to the product experience and health benefit rather than lifestyle to support switching behaviour to electronic cigarettes from conventional cigarettes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Pengaruh citra merek terhadap keputusan pembelian sepatu merek vans, (2) Pengaruh persepsi harga terhadap keputusan pembelian sepatu merek vans, (3) Pengaruh desain produk terhadap keputusan pembelian sepatu merek vans, dan (4) Pengaruh citra merek, persepsi harga, dan desain produk terhadap keputusan pembelian sepatu merek vans di Surabaya. Penelitan ini menggunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah konsumen sepatu merek vans yang ada di surabaya dengan jumlah sampel 100 responden menggunakan rumus Lemeshow. Analisi data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah koefisien determasi dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Citra Merek (X1) dan Persepsi Harga (X2) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Keputusan Pembelian (Y) sedangkan Desain Produk (X3) tidak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Keputusan Pembelian (Y) sepatu merek vans di Surabaya. This research aims to determine: (1) The influence of brand image on the purchasing decision of Vans shoes, (2) The influence of price perception on the purchasing decision of Vans shoes, (3) The influence of product design on the purchasing decision of Vans shoes, and (4) The influence of brand image, price perception, and product design on the purchasing decision of Vans shoes in Surabaya. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of Vans shoe consumers in Surabaya, with a sample size of 100 respondents using the Lemeshow formula. The data analysis used in this study includes the coefficient of determination and multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that Brand Image (X1) and Price Perception (X2) have a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decision (Y), while Product Design (X3) does not have a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decision (Y) for Vans shoes in Surabaya.

Abstract

In the development of digitalization, online shopping is the main choice for consumers, especially generation Z in Surabaya City. However, online purchasing decisions are still influenced by several factors such as perceived risk, trust, price, and consumer attitudes. Therefore, it is important to understand the influence of these factors on online purchase intentions in this generation. This study aims to analyze the effect of Perceived Risk, Trust, and Price on Online Purchase Intention with Attitude as an intervening variable in generation Z in Surabaya City. This research uses quantitative methods with purposive random sampling techniques. The sample consisted of 100 Gen Z respondents in Surabaya City. The data was collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed using IBM SPSS STATISTIK 25 path analysis. The results showed that Perceived Risk, Trust, and Price have a significant effect on Online Purchase Intention directly or indirectly through Attitude as an intervening variable. Consumer trust plays an important role in strengthening positive attitudes towards online shopping, while perceived risk has a negative effect on purchase intention. Consumer attitudes play an important role in mediating the influence of Perceived Risk, Trust, and Price on Gen Z online purchase intentions. Increasing trust and decreasing perceived risk can increase Gen Z's intention to make online purchases.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between workload and turnover intention among logistics employees at PT. Wahana Lintas Nusantara, as well as to examine the role of work-life balance as a mediator in this relationship. The sample consists of 150 employees working in the company's logistics department. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the relationships between variables, considering both direct and indirect effects. The results show that workload has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention (path coefficient = 0.45, p < 0.05), indicating that the higher the workload, the greater the likelihood of employees intending to leave the job. Furthermore, work-life balance was found to serve as a significant mediator in this relationship, with an indirect effect of 0.27 (p < 0.01). These findings suggest that an imbalance between work and personal life can exacerbate the negative impact of workload on turnover intention. Demographic factors, such as age and tenure, also influence turnover intention, with younger employees and those with shorter tenure being more likely to have higher turnover intentions. This study provides insights for companies to manage workload effectively and support work-life balance as strategies to improve employee retention and reduce turnover intention.

Abstract

This researchi aims to examine 4 (four) variables : servant leadership, work ability and self-esteem on employee performance, and self-esteem as an intervening variable between servant leadership, work ability and employee performance.This type of research is quantitative research. This research was conducted at the Karang Pilang District Office, Surabaya City. Sampling used random sampling technique with the Slovin formula.Respondent were 88 respondents rom a population of 112 employees. The data obtained by distributing questionnaires was then analyzed using SEM PLS and hypothesis testing using the SmartPLS 4 tool. The results of this study showed that the direct influence was a positive and significant relationship between work ability,self-esteemind employee performance.The hypothesis wass accepted . Meanwhile, the direct influence of servant leadership on employee performance and self-esteem si rejected.In the indirect influence of servant leadership on employee performance, the hypothesis is rejected,which means that self-esteem cannot ne an intervening variable. Meanwhile, the indirect effect of wor ability on employee performance is that the hypothesis is accepted,self-esteem can be an intervening variable.

Abstract

Technological advancements and increasing market demands are forcing companies to continuously strive to improve the consumer behavior landscape, especially among generation Z. One of the increasingly prominent phenomena is Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), which is the fear of missing out on pleasant or profitable experiences that others are having. This FOMO, triggered by constant exposure to interesting content on social media, encourages generation Z to make implusive purchases. In addition to FOMO, strong brand image and price consciosness also play an important role in purchasing decisions. Abstract

In facing the increasingly complex challenges of the port industry, it is important to understand the contribution of technology and green practices in improving efficiency and sustainable operational performance. This study aims to examine the effect of IoT-based Service Management System (X1), Cloud ERP (X2), and Green Operation Management (X3) on Sustainable Operational Performance (Y), with Operational Efficiency (Z) as a mediating variable at Lamong Bay Terminal. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to workers who have implemented IoT, Cloud ERP, and green operations management practices. Data analysis used the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method to evaluate the relationship between variables. The results showed that IoT, Cloud ERP, and Green Operation Management have a positive influence on operational efficiency with coefficient values of 0.299; 0.166; and 0.099, respectively. Operational efficiency also contributes positively to the sustainability of operational performance with a coefficient value of 0.263. These findings suggest that the implementation of modern technology and environmentally friendly practices can support improved operational efficiency and sustainability. These results provide strategic insights for Teluk Lamong Terminal to optimize operational efficiency and sustainable performance

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is one of the things that triggers customer loyalty to a product or service. This study investigates the effect of trust and convenience on customer satisfaction. It also investigates whether customer satisfaction is a good mediator. This study surveyed patients at Tritya Eye Clinic Surabaya. Using purposive sampling method with sample criteria being patients who have been treated at the Clinic, 152 respondents were obtained. The data was then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The findings show that trust and convenience contribute positively to customer satisfaction. The study also proved that customer satisfaction mediates the relationship of trust and convenience to customer loyalty. This study contributes to understanding marketing management using the trust and convenience framework in healthcare companies, which can also be applied to other general companies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of gender inclusiveness, employee engagement, and social support on employee performance at PT Intan Timur Energi, with psychological safety as a mediating variable. In the context of globalisation and increasingly complex digitalisation, effective human resource management is very important. Gender inclusiveness in the workplace is proven to increase innovation and team effectiveness, while employee engagement acts as an indicator of successful HR management. Social support from superiors and co-workers also contributes to employees' emotional well-being. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design to test the relationship between variables. The analysis results show that all independent variables have a positive influence on employee performance, and psychological safety serves as a significant mediator. The findings contribute to the HR management literature as well as practical recommendations for companies in creating an inclusive and productive work environment. It is hoped that this research can serve as a reference for the development of better management strategies in the future.
