Abstract

This study aimed to determine the perceptions of pre-service biology teachers and in-service biology teachers on artificial intelligence in Biology learning. AI has recently become a new trend and has changed many aspects of life. Artificial intelligence allows machines to learn from experience, adapt to new inputs, and perform human-like tasks like ChatGPT, launched in Q4 of 2022. The survey method used in this study. We used a questionnaire from 42 respondents of in-service teachers and pre-service teachers, respectively. Selected teachers were senior high school biology teachers who have used the independent curriculum in their schools. This study showed that the pre-service biology teachers (69%) had higher perceptions than in-service biology teachers (40.5%). This result followed by AI usage; 28.6% of pre-service biology teachers and 7.1% of in-service biology teachers used AI daily. However, the pre-service and in-service biology teachers believed that AI could be implemented in the new curriculum to increase student achievement on biology subject. This study concluded that the perceptions of to use AI is still low. So, AI must be introduced to the pre-service and in-service biology teachers.

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel pengabdian ini yaitu untuk menyampaikan nilai- nilai Pancasila dengan menggunakan media ajar berbasis komik dengan ikut melibatkan siswa dalam pembuatan komik sehingga meningkatkan pemahaman serta keantusiasan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu pendekatan edukatif- partisipatif yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif antara tim pengabdian, dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran nilai- nilai Pancasila. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini berdasarkan observasi dan evaluasi yang dilakukan, terlihat adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam antusiasme dan partisipasi siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung, komik yang dirancang dengan visual menarik dan cerita yang kontekstual mampu menarik perhatian siswa dan menjadikan materi yang sebelumnya dianggap abstrak menjadi lebih konkret dan mudah dipahami, dari data yang disajikan, peningkatan nilai siswa secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media komik memberikan dampak positif terhadap hasil belajar, rata- rata kenaikan nilai berada dalam rentang 10 hingga 15 poin.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertema “Gerakan Membangun Jejak, Menggapai Puncak: Pengabdian Dalam Satu Langkah” dilaksanakan di kawasan wisata alam Puncak Kapu Sani-Sani, Kecamatan Samaturu, Kabupaten Kolaka. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis masyarakat sekaligus memperkuat peran mahasiswa sebagai agen perubahan dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Metode kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan edukatif yang melibatkan mahasiswa, masyarakat, dan pengelola wisata secara aktif dalam setiap tahap pelaksanaan. Kegiatan utama meliputi observasi lapangan, pembuatan serta pemasangan papan plang jalan sebagai media komunikasi visual bertema lingkungan, dan kegiatan pembersihan kawasan wisata melalui kerja bakti bersama. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dan terbentuknya kesadaran kolektif untuk menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Papan plang yang dipasang berfungsi efektif sebagai penunjuk arah sekaligus media edukasi yang menyampaikan pesan moral untuk mencintai alam. Selain menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih dan tertata, kegiatan ini juga menumbuhkan nilai gotong royong, tanggung jawab sosial, dan kepedulian bersama terhadap kelestarian alam. Program ini menjadi bentuk nyata implementasi Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi serta contoh praktik baik (best practice) pengabdian masyarakat berbasis lingkungan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh krisis nilai di era globalisasi yang berimplikasi pada melemahnya solidaritas dan kesadaran kebangsaan. Pancasila sebagai dasar negara sering dipahami sebatas dokumen formal, padahal nilai-nilainya telah lama hidup dalam kearifan lokal Nusantara. Salah satu contohnya adalah simbol tujuh ajaran moral masyarakat Wolio yang tersimpan di Keraton Buton, Kota Baubau, Sulawesi Tenggara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis keterkaitan antara ajaran moral Wolio dengan sila-sila Pancasila, serta menggali relevansinya bagi penguatan identitas kebangsaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan etnografis. Data diperoleh melalui observasi langsung di Keraton Buton, dokumentasi simbol ajaran moral, wawancara dengan tokoh adat dan pengelola keraton, serta studi literatur. Analisis dilakukan melalui reduksi data, interpretasi makna sosial- budaya, dan pemetaan nilai Wolio dengan sila Pancasila. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketujuh ajaran moral Wolio: po ma maasiaka, po pia piara, po angka angkataka, po mae-maeaaka, po binci-bincika kuli, man arafah nafsahu wakad arafah rabbahu, dan bolimo karo somanamo lipu memiliki kesesuaian yang kuat dengan sila-sila Pancasila. Nilai kasih sayang, kepedulian, penghormatan, keadilan, religiusitas, dan patriotisme yang terkandung di dalamnya menegaskan bahwa Pancasila berakar dari budaya lokal. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah simbol tujuh ajaran moral Wolio berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai artefak budaya, tetapi juga sebagai cerminan nilai Pancasila yang relevan untuk memperkuat kesadaran kebangsaan. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada pengembangan pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal serta pelestarian budaya sebagai bagian dari pembangunan identitas nasional.

Abstract

Based on a study conducted in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, this research explores the potential of the Mekongga Traditional House as a driver of sustainable tourism development. The study employs a mixed-methods approach that integrates quantitative and qualitative data to provide a comprehensive understanding of visitor perceptions and stakeholder perspectives. Quantitative data were collected through surveys administered to 44 respondents, while qualitative insights were obtained through interviews with government officials and local tourism actors involved in the management and promotion of the site. The findings reveal that visitors to the Mekongga Traditional House are predominantly female (72.7%) and under the age of 20 (63.6%), indicating a strong appeal among younger demographics. A majority of respondents (63.6%) reported satisfaction with the existing facilities, suggesting that the site has met basic visitor expectations. Social media emerged as the primary source of information about the destination (45.5%), highlighting its importance as a promotional tool. In terms of impact, the social dimension of the traditional house was perceived positively by most respondents (54.5%), reflecting its role in preserving cultural identity and fostering social interaction. However, perceptions of environmental impact were more varied, with a considerable proportion of respondents expressing neutral views (38.6%), indicating the need for improved environmental management. Overall, the Mekongga Traditional House represents a valuable cultural asset with strong potential to support sustainable tourism development. To maximize this potential, the study recommends increasing environmental cleanliness awareness, enhancing tourism facilities, strengthening social media-based promotion, and encouraging active community participation in tourism management.

Abstract

Small elementary schools often face serious challenges, particularly in terms of low student enrollment, limited community support, and insufficient teacher capacity to meet curriculum and technological demands. SDN Temenggungan in Banyuwangi is one such school that, at one point, did not receive any new student enrollments. Through a community service program based on a participatory action approach, teachers were supported in designing and implementing student-centered, inquiry-oriented learning strategies (“deep learning” in a pedagogical sense) and introduced to artificial intelligence (AI) as a learning tool through simple digital tools and chat-based applications. The program resulted in a significant increase in new student enrollment, improved teacher competence in lesson design and technology integration, and a positive shift in community perception toward the school. The participatory approach proved effective in fostering teacher engagement and ownership of instructional innovations. These quantitative outcomes substantiate the program’s impact on both pedagogical quality and community trust. Such an initiative can serve as a replicable model for empowering teachers in other elementary schools facing similar challenges in different regions.

Abstract

The availability of teaching materials, especially student worksheet used by teachers at MA Fatihul Ulum Jember, has limitations that trigger misunderstanding of materials and concepts. Training activities aim to improve the professional competence of teachers including: RPA-based student worksheet as an alternative learning choice used to increase students' interest in self-directed learning. The training was attended by 38 Subject Teachers, with the approach used during the process of implementing this training, namely the process approach. The training process involved the following stages: the formation of a team; the formulation of goals; the identification of stakeholders; the collection and analysis of needs; the prioritisation of problems; preparation; implementation; mentoring; review; and evaluation. The training increased teachers' professional competence in the development of RPA-based student worksheet, including characteristics, components, strategies and preparation. Therefore, it is expected that teachers will be more trained and competent in developing student worksheet integrated with real picture to improve students' higher-order thinking.

Abstract

Induction motors are an important component in various industrial applications due to their reliability in long-term opeation. Failure of induction motors can cause production disruptions and significant repair costs. This research develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based vibration monitoring system using ADXL345 accelerometer sensors and ESP32 microcontrollers. The vibration data obtained is sent to a computer via asynchronous serial communication, where the computer performs FFT calculations and frequency analysis to extract dominant information from the vibration signal. Damage detection is performed using a combination of heuristics and threshold rules to classify the motor status as healthy or ambiguous. The classification results are then sent back via the MQTT protocol and can be visualized in real-time through a dashboard. This system enables predictive maintenance, thereby minimizing the risk of sudden failure and increasing operational efficiency.

Abstract

Bandar Udara Kol. Robert Atty Bessing Malinau di Kalimantan Utara memerlukaninfrastruktur pendukung yang efisien, termasuk penutup saluran drainase yang kuat,tahan lama, dan cepat terpasang. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan alternatifperencanaan yang tepat melalui metode kuantitatif dengan analisis RAB, jadwalproyek, dan evaluasi kekuatan struktur menggunakan SAP2000. Beton konvensionaldicor langsung di lokasi melalui tahapan bekisting, pembesian, dan curing,sedangkan beton precast diproduksi di pabrik dengan mutu K-350 dan dipasanglangsung di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beton precast unggul dalamkecepatan pelaksanaan, hanya memerlukan 83 hari dengan 97 pekerja, dibandingkanbeton konvensional yang membutuhkan 125 hari dan 251 pekerja. Namun, biayabeton precast mencapai Rp12,56 miliar, lebih tinggi 57% dari beton konvensionalsenilai Rp7,99 miliar. Perbedaan mutu tidak diseragamkan pada K-350 karena betonkonvensional dengan mutu K-175 sudah memadai untuk beban yang direncanakan,sedangkan beton precast diproduksi dengan standar pabrik dan mutu beton tinggiyang konsisten.
