Abstract

This study aims to answer the research focus on (1) Management of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) at Religious Institutions and Islamic Boarding Schools in the office of the Ministry of Religion in Sawalunto City (2) Administrative Services and Human Resources at Diniyah Education Institutions and Islamic Boarding School of the Ministry of Religion of Sawalunto City (3) utilization of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) in improving administrative services and human resources at Diniyah Education institutions and Islamic Boarding Schools of the Ministry of Religion of Sawalunto City.This study used a qualitative-descriptive approach and used data collection techniques. Data collection methods were obtained using in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction (data reaction), data presentation (data display), and conclusion drawing and verification. So this study obtained results based on data exposure, and findings and discussion analysis, based on the results of this study it can be described as follows: an education management information system already exists and is implemented, evidenced by the existence of a school website application that existed at the time of the study.

Abstract

Educational institutions will run effectively if they are organized by school principals and teachers who have professional competence in carrying out their duties. Principal leadership plays an important role in determining the professional competence of a teacher. Therefore, this study aims to describe the principal's leadership strategy in increasing the professional competence of teachers at SDN 03 Tanjung Balik, X Koto Diatas District, Solok Regency. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method in the form of a case study. The subjects of this study were the principal and all teachers at SDN 03 Tanjung Balik. The research instruments are interview guides, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there are 6 principal leadership strategies in improving the professional competence of teachers at SDN 03 Tanjung Balik, namely 1) Carrying out upgrading activities for teachers continuously, 2) cultivating literacy activities, 3) increasing the use of learning media, 4) improving facilities infrastructure in learning, 5) Conduct supervision activities.

Abstract

The main problem in this writing is the Efforts to Improve Student Achievement at Sawalunto 7 Public Middle School. the subject of discussion is how to improve student achievement. And how are the actions taken by teachers and parents towards students in increasing student achievement. The type of research that the writer did was field research which is a qualitative description. Data collection techniques that the authors use are through observation, interviews, and documentation. Abstract

The aims of this research are 1. To describe the organizational behavior management of SD Negeri 14 Talago Gunung Kota Sawahlunto to create human resources. 2) Analyze the obstacles and solutions in this study. The results of the study revealed about the Management of Organizational Behavior at SD Negeri 14 Talago Gunung Sawahlunto City in realizing human resources which was carried out by planning; carried out by conducting an analysis of the activities or work load of intellectual capacity, work experience and example. Recruitment; prioritizing academic & non-academic achievements, having good character, putting aside kinship and prioritizing achievement and professionalism. 1. Abstract

This article analyzes the impact of Leadership Style on Teacher Performance Behavior at SDIT Ishlahul Ummah, Sawahlunto City. The focus is on the six main leadership styles, namely transformational, transactional, autocratic, charismatic, bureaucratic and democratic. This article has provided deep insight into leadership styles; democratic, transformational, bureaucratic and autocratic leadership have a positive impact on the performance of SDIT Ishlahul Ummah teachers in Sawahlunto City. This article uses analysis of primary data and secondary data that has been carried out. The analysis uses a quantitative approach, with the help of survey instruments, based on a questionnaire survey. Secondary research has been carried out through a review of previous literature set out to achieve the research objectives. The results of this article suggest that charismatic, bureaucratic and transactional leadership styles have a negative relationship with performance. Transformational, autocratic, and democratic leadership styles, on the other hand, have a positive relationship with teacher performance at SDIT Ishlahul Ummah, Sawahlunto City.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence is something that is also part of the modern era and helping many people in English Learning, this study aimed to find out students' perception on the advantages of using QuillBot in their English learning, by looking at the benefits of the use of all classes of students in the English Teaching Department, how they perceive this application, to determine how many students use QuillBot, this is assisted by an Open-ended Question which is distributed in advance to classes 21-24 using Google form after the data is obtained then the data is classified into each class then interviewed, then the data is processed by transcribing and reducing the data until it gets saturated data from the perceptions of students in each class. The results found that there were 16 student perceptions about the use of QuillBot in English Learning that helped them in their Writing, reading, and Speaking skills, so it can be concluded that the use of QuillBot in English Learning provides many benefits.

Abstract

Gaya komunikasi kepala sekolah dapat menyebabkan misinterpretasi dan ketidakjelasan dalam penyampaian pesan kepada guru, sehingga pesan yang disampaikan tidak mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan dan memiliki dampak terhadap menurunnya motivasi kerja para guru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan sepuluh orang guru SMP Negeri 2 Sijunjung. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar wawancara, dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola komunikasi kepala sekolah yang berdampak pada motivasi kerja guru. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah untuk memotivasi guru mencakup kemampuan menyampaikan pesan dengan jelas, gaya kepemimpinan yang inklusif dan berfokus pada pembangunan komunitas, peran kepala sekolah sebagai fasilitator dalam proses pengambilan keputusan, komunikasi rutin, dukungan dalam mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi guru, dan penerapan praktik komunikasi efektif seperti keterbukaan, pendekatan empati, membangun hubungan interpersonal, serta memberikan umpan balik konstruktif kepada guru. Kesimpulan nya, peran komunikasi kepala sekolah sangat penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru sehingga dapat menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang positif dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Diharapkan Kepala sekolah harus berusaha untuk mengenal setiap guru secara individu, memahami preferensi, kekuatan, dan tantangan mereka.

Abstract

The leadership style applied by the Principal of Man Kota Solok currently has three leadership styles. Democratic leadership style can be seen in the deliberations held for decision-making related to teachers and employees. The autocratic leadership style is applied when it comes to financial management. Then the free leadership style (laissez faire) is applied when daily activities are carried out. However, in general, the leadership style applied is a free (laissez faire) but bound leadership style. Although in some cases implementing autocratic and democratic leadership styles. This is done because the people we face and also the problems are also different, then the situations and conditions we face are also different. So to complete it the principal uses these three leadership styles. In addition to strengthening the leadership style applied, the leader also applies his leadership functions, namely instructive, consultative, participation, delegation, and control. And good and proper leadership is one of the important assets that must be owned in the Man City Solok Regional Environment. This has encouraged school principals in the city of Solok to carry out activities in the form of training and development in improving the quality of leadership. The realization of realizing proper and correct leadership is proven by the existence of leadership training activities in the form of education and training (Training) provided by the Regional Government of Solok district. As well as organizations in Solo City Man have a goal of profitability and developing in a better direction. Another similarity, the school consists of people who have different goals. the management at the school has its own goals that are aligned with organizational goals because the main goal is how the Man Kota Solo school can progress and develop.

Abstract

Jorong Dusun Tuo is one of the villages affected by flash floods in May 2024, which caused huge losses to the local community, including trauma for victims. For this reason, the Community Service Team together with the Sumatra Volunteer Foundation carried out recovery activities in the form of teaching English. The focus of the activity is teaching vocabulary. Vocabulary is the key to mastering the language, but the memorisation method has not been able to improve students' vocabulary mastery. For this reason, a digital game, Educaplay, is used in teaching activities to improve students' vocabulary mastery. This activity was conducted 8 times with quantitative methods with a pre-experimental approach. Based on the posttest results, it was found that the use of the digital game, Educaplay, can improve learners' vocabulary mastery. This can be seen from the pretest average value is 75.33 while after receiving treatment, the average value increases to 87.78. Therefore, this service activity can improve their mastery of English vocabulary and heal the psychological condition of the children of Jorong Dusun Tuo

Abstract

Meningkatkan mutu pendidikan pada masa Covid-19 perlu dilakukan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Namun belum semua lembaga pendidikan yang menjalankan manajemen pembelajan untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana manajemen pembelajaran yang dilakukan di SDN se-Kecamatan Kubung kabupaten Solok, melalui metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh SDN se-Kecamatan Kubung dengan swampel SDN14 Salayo, SDN 22 Koto Baru dan SDN 11 Gantung cirri, dengan 3 orang kepala sekolah, 9 orang tenaga pendidik dan 3 orang peserta didik pada tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, kemudian data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pelaksanaan manajemen pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan pada masa covid-19 di SDN se-Kecamatan kubung, pada tahap perencanaan pembelajaran kepala sekolah dan tenaga pendidik melihat kurikulum yang akan dipergunakan serta membuat perangkat pembelajaran, namun masa Covid-19 tibanya dipertenganhan semester, maka SDN se-Kecamatan Kubung tidak mengadakan perubahan kurikulum, hanya saja mengganti materi pembelajaran yang menggunakan praktek dan menghilangkan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Serta menentukan metode pembelajaran daring dan luring, kemudian pengorganisasian pembelajaran dilakukan dengan pengelompokkan pendidik dan peserta didik yang hadir kesekolah serta pembagian mareti yang akan diberikan kepada pesertya didik. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran tetap ada kegiatan pembuka, inti dan penutup walaupun pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring dan luring serta evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan kepada peserta didik dengan memberikan ujian tulis berupa soal objektif, esai dan isian serta ujian secara lisan.
