Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi bahwa konflik itu tidak dapat dihindari karena manusia diciptakan berbeda-beda dalam kepentingan dan sebaiknya konflik dikelola dengan sebaiknya agar membawa keuntungan bagi suatu lembaga, tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengelola konfik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara terbuka. Dalam penelitian ini sumber datanya yaitu, data primer yang bersumber dari kepala sekolah menggunakan teknik triangulasi waktu. Teknik analisis datanya menggunakan data reduction (reduksi data), data display (penyajian data), conclusion drawing/ verification (penarikan kesimpulan). Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa: Kepala Sekolah SMK N 4 Sijunjung sebagai pemimpin lembaga tertinggi di sekolah mempunyai kewajiban untuk mengelola konflik agar sekolah yang dipimpinnya menjadi sejahtera dengan menggunakan strtategi mengelola konflik sebagai berikut: (1) memperjelas tugas setiap komponen dalam lembaga sekolah (2) memberikan penjelasan dan melakukan sosialisasi kepada setiap setiap komponen di lembaga sekolah terhadap kebijakan yang dibuat (3) mencari informasi secepatnya terhadap pihak yang berkonflik. (4) melakukan mediasi dengan berinteraksi dengan pihak yang berkonflik di waktu yang tepat. Konflik memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan semangat kerja, menjadikan sekolah lebih baik, dan menjadi terbuka satu sama lain. Dampak negative dari konflik membuat serangkaian kegiatan dan program yang telah disusun menjadi berantakan

Abstract

The Utilization of Digital Applications in Education Facilitates the Teaching and Learning Process. Quizlet, as one such application for language learning, is examined in this research to assess its effectiveness in enhancing Early English vocabulary for 5-6 years old. The research employs a quantitative method through surveys, collecting data via questionnaires based on theoretical frameworks. Results indicate that the use of Quizlet enhances English vocabulary for young children, as evidenced by their recognition of English words. This suggests that Quizlet can aid teachers in introducing English to early learners, providing an alternative method to improve English vocabulary for young children. Future research may explore further developments in the utilization of similar applications.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didorong oleh pentingnya kualitas implementasi pendidikan anak usia dini yang sangat bergantung pada kinerja guru PAUD sebagai garda terdepan pembelajaran. Kinerja optimal guru dipengaruhi oleh pengembangan profesional seperti Pelatihan Jabatan (Diklat) serta kualitas dukungan dari pimpinan. Diklat adalah proses sistematis untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional, sementara dukungan kepala sekolah berperan krusial dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif, memotivasi, dan produktif. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah menguji pengaruh Pelatihan Jabatan (X_1) dan Dukungan Kepala Sekolah (X_2) secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap Kinerja Guru TK (Y) di Kota Solok. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain ex-post facto. Populasi berjumlah 320 guru PAUD di Kota Solok, dengan sampel 175 guru yang dipilih melalui stratified proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Regresi dengan SPSS versi 20.0. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pelatihan Jabatan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Guru (p=0.031 < 0.05); (2) Dukungan Kepala Sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Guru (p=0.017 < 0.05); dan (3) Kedua faktor tersebut secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Guru (p=0.000 < 0.05). Disimpulkan bahwa Pelatihan Jabatan yang relevan dan Dukungan Kepala Sekolah yang suportif adalah dua faktor fundamental yang secara nyata meningkatkan profesionalisme dan kinerja guru TK di Kota Solok. Implikasi praktisnya, pembuat kebijakan harus memfokuskan strategi pengembangan guru pada intervensi pelatihan profesional yang efektif dan penguatan peran kepemimpinan instruksional.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low writing skills of students in writing essays, students have difficulty in developing ideas or concepts in writing according to the predetermined theme, students admit that they are less interested in learning to write, because it tends to be boring. This study aims to determine the effect of the roundtable learning model on the writing skills of fourth grade students of SDN 01 Simabur.  The type of research used is quantitative experiment one group pretest-posttest design. In this study, the population was fourth grade students of SDN 01 Simabur, with a sample size of 15 people. The sampling technique in this study used Purposive Sampling. Data collection in this study used a writing test instrument. By using the initial test (pretest) and final test (posttest). The data analysis techniques used are the normality test and homogeneity test, then conducting a hypothesis test using the t-test. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the roundtable learning model on the writing skills of grade IV students of SDN 01 Simabur, this was evidenced by the output of the Paired Sample T-test table above, the Sig value (2-tailed) was 0.000 <0.05, so according to the decision making of the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is an Influence of the Roundtable Learning Model on the Writing Skills of Grade IV Students of SDN 01 Simabur.

Abstract

The main issue in this research is how the management of the English language skills improvement program for students at modern Islamic boarding school. The purpose of this study is to describe the program and its management in improving the language skills of the students at the institution. This research employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data sources are verified through primary and secondary data. The data processing is conducted descriptively and qualitatively, followed by classification of specific aspects of the problem and presented effectively. The findings from field research indicate that the English language skills enhancement program at modern Islamic boarding school consists of four main programs: i) intracurricular program, consists of grammar, dictation, English lesson, story for you, reading and speaking, ii) curricular program, consists of daily vocabularies, English conversations, English week, muhadharah, haflah al-Lughah, speech contest, iii) extracurricular program, consists of English club, debate club, and storytelling club, and iv) involves teacher training and teaching practice classes for santri. The planning carried out in this program aligns with the planning indicators, the organization is well-structured, the implementation follows the program accordingly, and the supervision complies with the established planning and standards.

Abstract

This article aims to show the impact of basic debate training on their ability to perform argumentative speech. This training was conducted at SMAN 3 Batusangkar with 14 participants. The training used the Asian Parliamentary Debate System because it is the most widely used debate system in high school. After the training was conducted four times, it was found that their abilities improved both in terms of the quality of their public speaking, their intelligence in arguing, and their confidence. It is hoped that after this debate training, students will be able to compete well in the world of debate.
