Abstract

Abstract: Various views on forms of tolerance in responding to diversity and differences, including race, culture, ethnicity, religion and language in Indonesia, are both facts and problems of social phenomena that emerge in modern life and influence the lives of religious communities. Tolerance is an attitude to make social life peaceful, harmonious and harmonious despite these differences. The aim of this research is to explore more deeply the three meanings of the concept of tolerance, namely pluralism, plurality and tolerance based on Al-Kafirun's letter. The results of this research found that plurality is the fact and reality of existing differences, pluralism is an attitude of seeing differences with equality - however, the concept of Islamic pluralism does not extend to religious pluralism because this is considered to exceed the limits and essence of the meaning of tolerance itself, and tolerance. in reviewing the interpretation of Al-Kafirun's letter in several books and figures, namely the attitude of appreciating, respecting, believing in religion without justifying or mixing up religious teachings. This research uses a literature study method by examining the writings of figures, the works of book and journal writers and the interpretation of Surah Al-Kafirun in tafsir books by several figures. It is hoped that this research can provide deeper insight, knowledge, attitudes and points of view regarding the meaning and nature of tolerance and provide a correct understanding of the attitudes that must be prioritized in responding to differences.

Abstract

Learning models have an important role in achieving success in achieving goals. This study aims to examine the Challenge Based Learning model and compile its implementation in Islamic Religious Education Learning to Increase Student Religiosity as the core objective of Islamic Religious Education learning. The approach in this research uses a qualitative approach with the type of literature study. The data in this study were obtained from primary sources including Challenge Based Learning Guidelines, Textbooks, and Education Regulations in Indonesia. In addition, this study also took secondary sources from various relevant scientific journal articles. The data obtained was then analyzed with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of this study concludes that the Challenge Based Learning (CBL) model is an innovative approach that places learners as the main subject in designing real solutions to challenges relevant to their lives. CBL not only encourages active engagement, collaboration, and the development of 21st century competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration, but it is also very relevant to be implemented in Islamic Religious Education Learning to improve students' substantive religiosity. Through a systematic syntax, starting from the engage, explore, to act stages, CBL helps learners identify, analyze, and solve real problems reflectively and applicatively. Thus, the application of CBL in Islamic Religious Education learning has the potential to form a religious character that is not only symbolic, but also reflected in students' daily behavior, so as to overcome various phenomena of moral decline and religiosity in the current educational environment. Researchers in this case recommend further research in the form of implementing the Challenge Based Learning model in Islamic Religious Education Learning to Improve Students' Religious Attitudes.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the Islam-based Children's Spirituality Education (CSE) model in forming students' religious tolerance. This research employs qualitative research incorporating literature study and interviews with numerous teachers teaching religion subject. The research results show that there are four principles of the Islamic CSE model that play a crucial role in strengthening students' religious tolerance, including; 1) respect for other people's beliefs, 2) building a logical, rational and inclusive way of thinking, 3) a spirit of seeking the truth and respecting different truths, and 4) building a spirit of religious moderation and living peacefully side by side with religious beliefs. The advantage of this model lies in its holistic and diverse approach to shaping students' spirituality and recognizing spiritual, emotional, social and cognitive dimensions as an integral part of individual development. The positive implications for Islamic Religious Education include actualizing children's potential according to the principles of Islamic spirituality, supporting the goals of spiritual and moral education, and stimulating understanding of the levels of spirituality in Islam. This model is an effective means of implementing an attitude of tolerance towards non-Muslims through an inclusive and respectful approach towards other beliefs.

Abstract

Pesantren is a native Islamic education institution of Indonesia; while the school is a modern educational institution. The tested pesantren excelled in the development of religiosity, simple lifestyle, and independence of the santri; while schools excel in the intellectual and vocational development of the students. Learning in pesantren uses an individual system, while the school uses a classical system. Kiai Hasan Ulama is the Mursyid of the Tarekat Shaththariah, better known as Wasithah, precisely Wasithah 43 (1873-1916). In 1886, he founded Pesantren Takeran (Magetan East Java) as the first modern pesantren in Indonesia that combines the excellence of pesantren and school systems. The educational model is preserved by Wasithah to the present, namely Pesantren Sabilul Muttaqien (PSM) Takeran (Wasithah 44-45), PSM Tanjunganom Nganjuk (Wasithah 46), Pondok Modern Resources At-Taqwa (Pomosda) Tanjunganom Nganjuk (Wasithah 47), and Pondok Pesantren Matlabus Salik (Pondok Al-Matlab) Jogomerto Nganjuk (Wasithah 48/now). The study aims to describe the modern pesantren model established by Kiai Hasan Ulama. The study method used a qualitative approach with documentary study techniques ((on main ideas of Mursyid), ex post facto (educational institution of Wasithah 47), and depth interview with the Wasithah now. The study found that Pesantren Pomosda (2008-2012) and Pesantren Al-Matlab (2016 -...) is the present Pesantren Takeran that runs the school system excellence in pesantren ways.

Abstract

The phenomenon of religious and social values of individuals and society is now increasingly dimming. This has implications for students' social character, where moral or ethical values are ignored, egoistic, and a diminished sense of empathy for others. This research aims to determine the instillation of social values in Islamic Education learning at SMPN 15 Bandung. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach to describe in detail the problems studied. The data collected came from primary data through observation, interviews and documentation at SMPN 15 Bandung. The results of the research show that instilling social values in Islamic Education learning can be done through three social programs, including: 1) compensation program, in instilling these social values, Islamic Education teachers do not only focus on learning in the classroom, but Islamic Education teachers provide a good role model for students by providing donations to students who experience disaster. 2) Friday blessing program, this program has made students aware of the importance of sharing and being useful for others, in order to form students' characters who have social awareness and sympathy for others by providing good role models through sharing food every Friday. 3) 5S program, teachers are required to be good role models for students in the process of familiarizing themselves with 5S (Salam, Senyum, Sapa, Sopan, Santun), both in the school environment and outside the school environment. This research has implications for the importance of Islamic Education learning in instilling social values in schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the thematic digital al-Qur'an learning model on students' academic achievement in Bandung Regency boarding schools. The method used was a qualitative research method with a field research type. The research location was in one of the boarding schools in Bandung Regency, and the participants in this study were students. This study concluded that using the digital al-Qur'an in religious subjects can positively impact critical thinking skills, understanding, and memory. Using the versions of the Quran can also help students improve their memory. This is because features such as bookmarks, notes, and text highlighting provided by the digital Quran application can make it easier to revise and refer back to materials that have been previously learned. However, further research is needed to confirm these findings, specifically in the context of students.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the influence of the role model and habituation methods on the formation of Islamic character in students at two elementary educational institutions, namely MIN 3 Garut and SDTQ Al Ikhlas. Background: Against the background of the importance of Islamic character education as an antidote to moral challenges in the era of globalization, this study explores the effectiveness of both methods comparatively and simultaneously in forming character based on Islamic values. Method: A quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis method was used to examine the relationship between the role model and habituation variables with Islamic character. The study population included all sixth-grade students at both schools with a saturated sample of 29 people. Result: The results of the analysis indicate that both the role model and habituation methods have a positive and significant influence on the formation of Islamic character, with habituation showing a slightly more dominant contribution. The regression model also indicates that the combination of both methods is able to optimally improve the Islamic character of students. The differences in the application context of the two methods in each institution suggest that the integration of contextual and synergistic methods is more effective. This study confirms that teacher role models as role models and the habituation of Islamic values through routine activities play a strategic role in the formation of Islamic character. Conclusion: The practical implications emphasize the need to strengthen both approaches in the curriculum and school management. Further research examining external variables that influence the effectiveness of the method, as well as long-term studies to measure the sustainability of the character development, is recommended.

Abstract

Research that explicitly explores the relationship between the humanistic approach in Islamic Religious Education and the formation of students' religious maturity remains very limited. This gap highlights the need for further investigation, both theoretically, to understand how humanistic principles relate to adolescent religious development, and practically, to design effective instructional strategies in increasingly pluralistic school environments. Moreover, the application of the humanistic approach in the management of Islamic Religious Education learning, especially at the senior high school level, has not been extensively studied. This study aims to provide an exploratory overview of the management of Islamic Religious Education learning through a humanistic approach in senior high schools. A qualitative method was employed, involving interviews with four teachers across four different schools. The data were analyzed using NVivo version 15. The findings indicate that teachers have applied humanistic-based learning management to foster students' religious maturity, starting from the planning stage to implementation and evaluation. However, several challenges remain, including students' low awareness of worship practices, uneven levels of religious consciousness, and limited supporting facilities. This research recommends strengthening teacher training and institutional support to ensure the optimal implementation of the humanistic approach in PAI learning.
