Abstract

This study aims to determine the internal and external factors that influence students in participating in volleyball game learning for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 10 Jambi City. The research method used descriptive quantitative with a survey approach to 50 randomly selected eighth grade students. Internal factors were measured through interest and Body Mass Index (BMI), while external factors were measured through the role of teachers and infrastructure. The results showed internal factors (interest) in the fairly appropriate category 44%, external factors (teacher) in the appropriate category 52%, and the combination of internal-external in the appropriate category 62%. For BMI, 54% of students were in the thin category, 40% normal, and 6% fat. Volleyball facilities are available but volleyball ball conditions are insufficient with 5 in good condition and 2 damaged. The conclusion shows that external factors (teachers) are more influential than internal factors (interest) in volleyball learning, while the physical condition of students is mostly in the thin category which can affect performance in sports.

Abstract

Research Problems: Physical education aims to improve physical fitness, motor skills, and awareness of a healthy lifestyle. Extracurricular sports, such as futsal, play a role in channelling students' interests while shaping character and social skills. However, the achievement of extracurricular futsal at State Senior High School 1 Muaro Jambi has decreased, allegedly due to low aerobic endurance associated with VO2Max. Research Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyse the VO₂Max level of student futsal athletes to determine their aerobic capacity. Methods: This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a one-shot-method. Data was collected through the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) on 27 students who became the research sample. Data analysis was done descriptively quantitative. Results: The results showed that only 1 learner with a percentage (3.7%) had very good VO2Max, 4 learners with a percentage (14.8%) were good, 9 learners with a percentage (33.3%) were moderate, and 13 learners with a percentage (48.1%) were lacking. Conclusion: Most learners have low fitness, which impacts team performance and achievement. This study confirms the importance of a structured training program to improve VO2 max to support optimal performance in competition.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui minat siswa terhadap materi yang paling populer di antara siswa kelas XI selama mengikuti pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar minat siswa SMA Negeri 4 terhadap popularitas konten PJOK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 1.296 siswa, diambil sampel kelas XI yang terdiri dari 375 siswa. Dari siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran PJOK, materi bulutangkis memiliki persentase tertinggi dengan 206 siswa (54.9%), diikuti oleh materi renang dengan 89 siswa (23.7%), futsal atau sepakbola dengan 53 siswa (14.2%), lari jarak menengah dengan 11 siswa (3%), kebugaran jasmani dengan 9 siswa (2.4%), bola tangan dengan 4 siswa (1.1%), senam irama dengan 2 siswa (0.5%), dan senam lantai dengan 1 siswa (0.3%). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa minat siswa terhadap materi PJOK kategori bola besar (sepak bola, basket, voli, dan futsal) berada pada kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase 14.2%. Minat siswa terhadap materi PJOK kategori bola kecil (bulutangkis) berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 54.9%, dan minat siswa terhadap materi PJOK kategori senam lantai berada pada kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase 0.8%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how to apply the Problem Based Learning learning model in improving student learning outcomes in elementary school science learning. The research method used is a classroom action research method that uses the development model by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The subjects of this research were 32 class IV students at SDN 174/X Trimulya. Data was collected using observation techniques, questionnaires and written tests. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research prove that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class IV students in the science and science subject on Cultural Diversity in Indonesia. The average observation results of student learning outcomes in cycle I was 87.52%, in cycle II it increased to 90.00%, the results of the questionnaire. Student learning outcomes obtained an average of 60.55% in cycle I and in cycle II it increased to 89.31%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena ingin mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat kebugaran jasmani santri putra Tahfiz Qur’an. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kebugaran jasmani santri putra Tahfiz Qur’an usia 13-15 tahun di Yayasan Pondok Pesantren At-Tabyan Kecamatan Teluk Sialang, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat Tahun 2021. Dalam melakukan tes untuk mengetahui tingkat kebugaran jasmani, terdapat beberapa instrumen tes seperti lari 50 meter, gantung angkat tubuh, baring duduk, loncat tegak, dan lari 1000 meter. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif, pengumpulan datanya menggunakan instrumen tes seperti lari 50 meter, gantung angkat tubuh, baring duduk, loncat tegak dan lari 1000 meter. Sampel dalam penelitian ini melibatkan 20 santri putra umur 13-15 tahun yang merupakan tahfiz Qur’an sesuai dengan kriteria dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat kebugaran jasmani santri tahfiz Qur’an termasuk kategori Sedang dengan perolehan nilai 269 poin dengan nilai rata-rata 13,45 poin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan gaya hidup sehat bagi santri dan santriwati di Pondok Pesantren Al Muhajirin. Fokus penelitian ini mencakup bagaimana pemahaman, kebiasaan, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapan gaya hidup sehat di lingkungan pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam terhadap lima informan, yaitu satu orang pengasuh, satu ustadz, dan tiga orang santri. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik berbantuan perangkat lunak NVivo 12 Pro untuk mengidentifikasi pola, tema, dan subtema yang muncul dari narasi para informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa santri dan santriwati memiliki pemahaman yang cukup baik mengenai pentingnya menjaga kesehatan, terutama dalam aspek kebersihan diri, lingkungan, pola makan, dan olahraga. Namun, masih terdapat kendala dalam penerapan gaya hidup sehat seperti keterbatasan fasilitas, padatnya aktivitas harian, dan kurangnya edukasi berkelanjutan. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa peran pengasuh dan ustadz sangat penting dalam memberikan contoh dan membentuk kebiasaan hidup sehat di lingkungan pesantren. Kesimpulannya, penerapan gaya hidup sehat di Pondok Pesantren Al Muhajirin telah dijalankan dengan baik meskipun masih menghadapi beberapa hambatan, dan diperlukan dukungan lebih lanjut dari pihak pengelola pesantren untuk menyediakan fasilitas pendukung dan program edukatif yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan hubungan antara kemampuan motorik dan fungsi kognitif siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Sampel penelitian ini mencakup laki-laki dan perempuan, dengan umur 11-12 Tahun yang berjumlah 37 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 22 sampel laki-laki usia rata-rata 11,13 tahun dan 15 sampel perempuan usia rata-rata 11,13 tahun pada siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian kuantitatif dirancang dengan pendekatan korelasional. Teknik Pengumpulan data menggunakan barrow motor ability test untuk kemampuan motorik yang meliputi: (tes lari shuttle, tes lempar tangkap bola, tes keseimbangan, tes lari sprint) dan untuk mengukur fungsi kognitif digunakan tes concentration grid test. Menurut hasil penelitian, ada korelasi yang signifikan antara kemampuan motorik dan fungsi kognitif sampel laki-laki, dengan signifikansi 0,001, dimana nilai probabilitas (Sig) 0,05. Sedangkan pada sampel Perempuan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan terkait kemampuan motorik dan fungsi kognitif, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,233 dan nilai probabilitas (Sig) 0,05. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan kemampuan motorik terhadap fungsi kognitif mungkin lebih kuat atau lebih relevan pada siswa laki-laki dibandingkan siswa perempuan. Temuan ini juga menunjukkan pentingnya integrasi aktivitas motorik dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mendukung perkembangan kognitif siswa. Program pendidikan sebaiknya disusun dengan mempertimbangkan perbedaan karakteristik antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan agar intervensi pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif dan menyeluruh.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of the Think, Observe, Talk, and Write (TOTW) learning model on students' creative thinking skills on buffer solution material. The method used is a quasi-experiment with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, involving two sample classes, namely the experimental class and the control class at Senior High School Islam Al-Falah, Jambi. The research instruments include essay tests and observation sheets covering aspects of sensitivity, fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Data were analyzed using statistical tests to test the hypothesis. The results showed that the implementation of the TOTW model significantly improved students' creative thinking skills, with the average posttest of the experimental class being higher than the control class. In addition, the observation results indicated an increase in creative thinking skills in the experimental class in all aspects assessed. Statistical tests showed a significant effect of the implementation of the TOTW model on students' creative thinking skills. This study concludes that the TOTW model is effective in improving students' creative thinking skills, especially on materials that require conceptual understanding such as buffer solutions. The implications of this study include recommendations for the implementation of innovative learning models in various learning contexts to support the development of students' high-level thinking skills.

Abstract

This study examines the correlation between physical fitness levels and academic performance of grade X students at MAN 2 Kota Jambi. The aim is to understand how variations in physical fitness affect students' academic ability. Involving 36 students from 12 different classes, this study uses statistical methods, including normality and homogeneity tests, to ensure data validity. The results will reveal the relationship between physical fitness and academic performance and offer insights into the importance of physical health in education. This research emphasizes that a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness can enhance students' academic achievement, encouraging schools to incorporate physical fitness into their academic programs. Overall, this study contributes to understanding how physical well-being can influence educational outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a STEAM-based learning medium in the form of a Steambook for teaching ecosystem material to fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology utilizing the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to systematically create and validate the instructional material. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 119 Tanjung Jabung Barat during the 2024-2025 academic year, involving needs analysis with 32 students and one teacher, expert validation by three specialists, and practicality testing through small-group (n=6) and large-group (n=26) trials. Data collection employed validation rubrics and practicality questionnaires, analyzed using percentage calculations and thematic content analysis. Results demonstrated that the Steambook achieved high validity scores across media (86%), content (90%), and language (92%) dimensions, with an overall average of 89% categorized as "very valid." Practicality assessment yielded strong ratings from both teacher (89%) and students (90%), confirming effective usability in classroom contexts. The developed Steambook successfully integrated Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics components through multimedia resources, collaborative activities, and inquiry-based learning experiences. This study concludes that systematic instructional design using the ADDIE model can produce high-quality STEAM-integrated materials that address implementation gaps in elementary science education while enhancing student engagement and supporting 21st-century competency development.
