Abstract

Penyebab polusi udara dikarenakan banyaknya kendaraan di jalan raya sehingga mempengaruhi fungsi paru, salah satunya adalah kapasitas inspirasi. Kapasitas inspirasi adalah volume udara yang masuk paru setelah inspirasi maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pentingnya pemakaian Deep Breathing dan Diaphragm Breathing dalam meningkatkan kapasitas inspirasi pada pengendara motor. Deep Breathing adalah latihan aktivitas paru dengan teknik napas dalam untuk meningkatkan kapasitas paru dan ventilasi oksigenasi. Diaphragm Breathing adalah pernapasan yang dilakukan dengan inspirasi maksimal menggunakan otot perut. Penelitian ini menggunakan randomize pre and post group design, 24 responden, Perlakuan I diberikan latihan deep breathing selama 2 bulan dengan frekuensi 3 kali seminggu selama 30 menit sebanyak 10 set sebanyak 12 mahasiswi pengendara motor dan Perlakuan II diberikan latihan diaphragm breathing selama 2 bulan dengan frekuensi 3 kali seminggu selama 30 menit sebanyak 10 set sebanyak 12 mahasiswi pengendara motor. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Universitas Udayana, pada hari yang sama namun waktu berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kelompok I memiliki rerata 352,5±239,55 ml sedangkan Kelompok II memiliki rerata 152,5±75,57 ml. Didapatkan perbedaan yang bermakna pada kapasitas inspirasi setelah melakukan deep breathing dibanding diaphragm breathing (p = 0,016). Disimpulkan : deep breathing meningkatkan kapasitas inspirasi lebih besar daripada diaphragm breathing pada pengendara motor. Disarankan : penelitian dapat dilakukan dengan karakteristik subjek yang berbeda.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Obesitas merupakan kondisi kelebihan berat badan dan lemak tubuh. Obesitas (IMT ?25) terjadi pada 13,5% orang dewasa yang berusia di atas 18 tahun di Indonesia. Latihan low-impact aerobic seperti mat pilatesdapat dilakukan tanpa alat dan bersifat aman bagi penderita obesitas. Pelaksanaan latihan mat pilates tidak memiliki gerakan melompat maupun berlari yang dapat meningkatkan terjadinya trauma persendian pada seseorng yang obesitas. Latihan mat pilates bermanfaat untuk menurunkan berat badan, memperbaiki postur dan memperbaiki kondisi kardiovaskular, dan meningkatkan fleksibilitas otot. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan mat pilates terhadap penurunanan persentase lemak tubuh, serta peningkatan massa otot pada wanita dewasa awal (18-40 tahun) dengan obesitas.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental one group pre-post test. BIA Omron digunakan untuk mengukur IMT, persentase lemak, dan massa otot. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 28 subjek wanita dewasa berusia 18-40 tahun dengan obesitas (IMT ?25). Subjek melakukan latihan mat pilates selama 30 menit dengan frekuensi 3 kali seminggu selama 8 minggu.Hasil: Persentase lemak tubuh mengalami penurunan nilai rerata (0,63±0,34) dengan hasil signifikansi p=0,000 (<0,05) yang menunjukkan terjadinya perubahan yang signifikan. Persentase massa otot mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rerata (0,2±0,04) dengan hasil signifikansi p=0,000 (<0,05) yang menunjukkan terjadinya perubahan yang signifikan.Simpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan pelatihan mat pilates pada wanita dewasa berumur 18-40 tahun berpengaruh signifkan terhadap penurunan persentase lemak tubuh dan peningkatan persentase massa otot. Abstract

Selama periode kehamilan ibu hamil mengalami perubahan fisiologis dan psikologis yang menyebabkan ibu hamil menjadi tidak nyaman, sehingga emosi yang dimiliki cenderung berubah-ubah. Seiring bertambahnya usia kehamilan, ibu hamil umumnya mulai merasakan kecemasan terutama pada trimester ketiga. Kecemasan berlebih akan memicu terjadinya stres dan berdampak pada kesehatan ibu dan janin. Salah satu terapi yang dapat dilakukan adalah prenatal yoga. Prenatal yoga adalah kegiatan olah tubuh, pikiran dan mental yang membantu ibu hamil melenturkan persendian dan menenangkan pikiran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan tingkat kecemasan pada ibu hamil trimester ketiga yang mengikuti prenatal yoga dengan ibu hamil trimester ketiga yang tidak mengikuti prenatal yoga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasi analitik komperatif, dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 80 ibu hamil. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengukur tingkat kecemasan menggunakan kuesioner DASS 42. Tingkat kecemasan pada kelompok prenatal yoga terdapat 31 ibu hamil tidak mengalami kecemasan (77,5%) dan 9 ibu hamil mengalami kecemasan ringan (22,5%), pada kelompok ibu hamil yang tidak mengikuti prenatal yoga terdapat 20 ibu hamil tidak mengalami kecemasan (50%), 17 ibu hamil mengalami kecemasan ringan (42,5%), 3 ibu hamil mengalami kecemasan sedang (7,5%), dan tidak ada yang mengalami kecemasan berat maupun sangat berat (0%). Perhitungan analisis data menggunakan uji Chi Square Test, diperoleh p sebesar 0.020 sehingga p<0.05. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan tingkat kecemasan pada ibu hamil trimester ketiga yang mengikuti prenatal yoga dengan ibu hamil trimester ketiga yang tidak mengikuti prenatal yoga di Kabupaten Gianyar. Abstract

ABSTRACTVO2max is an indicator that can be used to measure the cardiovascular capabilities. Circuit training and jogging training are the forms of aerobic training that can be used to boost the cardiovascular capabilities. The Quasi- Experimental Research with study design Randomized Pre and Post Test Control Group Design and the sampling technique is simple random sampling. Samples are 28 students which were selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria that devided into 2 groups. The treatment group was given circuit training and the control group wasgiven jogging training. The average difference between the increase on treatment group is 8.4922 (p<0.05) and the average difference between the increase on control group is 4.2477 (p<0.05). Concluded that circuit training is more effective than jogging training in improving VO2max values on member of paskibra extracurricular program in SMA Negeri 1 Gianyar. Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to know the correlation between the mechanic vibration of grinder and the complaints of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from the welding workers in Denpasar. This research is an observational analytic cross sectional purposive sampling research with 95 respondents. The grinding machine vibration is measured using vibrationmeter and the CTS complaint is measured using Phalen test. From this research, the result of p = 0,007 < ? = 0,05 with the chi square test that shows a significant link between the mechanic vibration and the CTS complaints. The strength of the link is tested with spearman rho, the result of r = 0,313 which is quite strong. The conclusion of this research is derived firm the causality of mechanical vibration from grinding machine with the complaints of CTS on welding worker in Denpasar. Abstract

After entering adulthood, the quality and quantity of bone decreases with age. Bone metabolism is influenced by many factors and signaling pathways. Sclerostin is an antagonist of the Wnt signaling pathway in osteoblast lineage cells, thus causing a decrease in bone formation. Recent studies have shown that mechanical loading of the bones, for example by doing physical activity, can affect the concentration of sclerostin in blood serum. However, research on this topic still has wide variations in terms of frequency, intensity, duration, and the type of exercise that can cause changes in serum sclerostin concentrations. This study was conducted using the literature review method, we reviewed and compared the latest journals that discussed the relationship between physical activity and sclerostin concentrations in blood serum. Physical activity that decreases sclerostin levels in blood serum is physical activity that has been done regularly and carried out over a long period of time. Physical activity that is only done occasionally will increase the level of sclerostin in the blood serum, which will then decrease again over time to the level as before physical activity was conducted. In conclusion, certain physical activity has a good impact on bone health that can be evaluated with the levels of sclerostin and may be a marker of physical activity towards aging of bones.

Abstract

The effect of yoga in the increase in beta-endorphins biomarkers is the purpose of this literature review in the aging process. The method uses a database from Google Scholar, Researchgate and Mendeley. Search articles using keywords: yoga, sport, exercise, endorphins, anti-aging. Journals in English and Indonesian in the last 10 years have become our literature review material. The effect of yoga exercise intervention on the aging process (increase in one of the biomarkers, namely beta-endorphins) is obtained from 4 articles. What happens in the aging process is a decrease in functional capacity both at the cellular level and the loss of the ability to maintain body homeostasis, organ systems become dysfunctional and changes occur in the body. Essence; The physiological process of aging can be slowed down by doing yoga (endocrine, also cognitive, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and immunological),changes in biomarkers, one of which is an increase in beta-endorphins,so that yoga will improve body functions including increasing heart rate, blood circulation, helping to provide oxygen, nutrients to the skin, increasing collagen production and keeping new cells glowing and for antiaging and a better quality of life. Limitations to the review are only research published in the last 10 years. The limitation of the method used is that there is no quality analysis and risk assessment of bias. Abstract

Aging is a natural life process. Aging is associated with oxidative stress that results in decreased function and structural organs, including mitochondria. Nuclear Factor E-2 related factor 2 (NRF2) is the master regulator of antioxidants. NRF2 can suppress the damage caused by oxidative stress. Our purpose is to see the correlation between exercise in improving NRF2 and efficacy to prevent aging. This paper is a literature review journal. Sources of data obtained for this journal are through databases of scientific information sources such as Proquest, Pubmed, Mendeley, Elsevier, Department of Sports Medicine, Medical Faculty of Uludag University, Nature Publishing Group, American Physiological Society, and Frontiers Media S.A. We use a data collection strategy using keywords: NRF2, aging, exercise to find journals/articles to be reviewed, with a limit of 5 to 10 years of the latest articles. During exercise, high-intensity interval training aerobic, NRF-2 increases peripheral blood circulation. Exercise causes temporary oxidative stress that will cause an adaptive mitochondrial response (mitohormesis) which will improve function and be resistant to stress. With increased mitochondrial function, organ damage can be prevented, improve skeletal muscle performance, and extend lifespan. NRF2 deficiency is associated with an increase in free radicals that will affect organ health, as well as a decrease in skeletal muscle function and mass. This review summarized exercises to increase NRF2, NRF2 function, and correlation with aging. The Limitation of this review is we used only research published last 10 years. The method limitation is a risk of bias.

Abstract

Aging is an inevitable process in human. It causes deterioration of many organs in human bodies such as the brain. The most common pathological aging condition in the brain is Alzheimer’s disease. This disease is the leading cause of deficits in short term memory, praxis, visuospatial, and executive function. It can impair cognitive function in older adults. A lot of intervention has been studied to treat Alzheimer’s disease. One of them is the aerobic exercise. Some studies find aerobic exercise increases the anti-aging protein, klotho protein. Klotho is a systemic-biomarkers that has an important role in sustaining cognitive function and brain integrity. The level of plasma klotho protein is increased by doing aerobic exercise moderately for 12 weeks. The increase of klotho protein improves memory formation and hippocampus function. In Alzheimer’s disease, klotho protein has the ability to lower the formation of neurofibrillary tangles. Hence, aerobic exercise is an essential intervention to improve cognitive function in Alzheimer’s disease patient.

Abstract

One of the most essential lifestyle variables that might help you improve with age is physical activity. Physical activity can help you stay in shape and lower your risk of acquiring a range of lifestyle conditions. Muscle mass decreases as people get older. These have an impact on muscle strength, particularly skeletal muscle strength. Vit D is a vitamin that is necessary for muscle strength and contraction. Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to muscle effects such as fatigue and weakness, as well as hormonal and neurological impacts. According to recent research, persons who exercise more had higher vitamin D levels. The major goal of this narrative review was to illustrate the link between vitamin D levels and muscle aging.
