Abstract

Bagan merupakan alat tangkap ikan yang sangat bernilai ekonomis tinggi yang banyak digunakan untuk nelayan – nelayan di sekitar Pesisir Pantai Carocok Anau Tarusan. Selain nilai ekonomi tinggi bagan juga bisa membuka peluang untuk orang berkerja sama dengan pemilik kapal bagan untuk menjalankan operasional kapal bagan ini. Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan tepatnya banyak nelayan yang menggunakan alat tangkap bagan untuk melakukan penangkapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem bagi hasil yang diperoleh nelayan dan kelayakan usaha perikanan bagan ini. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Nagari Carocok Anau Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara. Data yang digunakan terdiri data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sistem bagi hasil yaitu 50 ; 50. Sedangkan kelayakan usaha pada usaha ini dinyatakan layak dengan menggunakan rumus BEP yang menghasilkan 6.125kg Produksi,dan BEP Penjualan Rp. 263.698.630. R/C Ratio 2.25 dan PP 0,33 bulan.

Abstract

Jenis vegetasi mangrove yang ditemukan di kawasan Desa Apar ada empat jenis vegetasi yaitu R. apiculata, R. mucronata, S. alba, dan N. frutican. Hasil analisi menunjukan bahwa yang mendominansi adalah R. mucronata dengan nilai INP yang tinggi pada tingkat pohon. Sedangkan pada anakan jenis vegetasi yang tinggi adalah Sonneratia alba

Abstract

Kawasan mangrove Sungai Gemuruh merupakan salah satu kawasan yang memiliki jenis mangrove yang beragam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran propagul di kawasan mangrove Sungai Gemuruh. Teknik pengambilan sampel propagul mangrove dilakukan dengan metode pengambilan sampel acak bertujuan, dimana terdapat 2 stasiun dan 6 titik pengambilan sampel yang berbentuk plot berukuran 5x5 dan 10x10 dengan interval antar plot sebesar 25 m. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan pada stasiun I ditemukan 2 jenis propagul mangrove yaitu Rhizophora apiculata dan Rhizophora stylosa dan pada stasiun tersebut didominasi oleh propagul jenis Rhizophora stylosa serta pada stasiun II ditemukan 5 jenis propagul mangrove yaitu Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora stylosa, Rhizophora mucronata, Sonneratia alba dan Nypa fruticans dan pada stasiun tersebut didominasi oleh propagul jenis Rhizophora mucronata. berdasarkan data tersebut menggambarkan bahwa zonasi mangrove masih terjaga dengan baik, dikarenakan propagul masih tumbuh disekitar pohon induk dan zonasi mangrove masih menggambarkan kesesuaian dengan karakteristik lingkungan tempat jenis propagul berkembang

Abstract

West Pasaman Regency, especially the coastal area of Sasak Subdistrict is an area that supports sustainable fisheries activities for the Sasak Subdistrict community, so it is important to know the quality of its waters. This study aims to determine the quality of waters in Muaro Sasak based on chemical parameters which are then compared with the quality standards of the research instruments used. The research was conducted at two sampling points namely Batang Pasaman and Batang Kapar. Water quality parameters measured include acidity (pH), temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO meter), total dissolved solids (TDS) measured in-situ. The results of water quality research in Batang Pasaman showed a pH value of 5.5-6.5, temperature of 29-31˚C, DO meter 3.12-5.87 ppm, and TDS meter 620-720 ppm. While the results of measurement analysis in Batang Kapar showed a pH value of 5.2-5.5, temperature 35˚C, DO meter 3.55-4.21 ppm, and TDS meter 710-810 ppm

Abstract

The Mangrove ecosystem is an ecosystem that is around the edge of the coast and many organisms live in this ecosystem, one of them is crabs. The crabs that are often found are deposit crabs from the Ocypodidae and Sesarmidae families that act as balancers in the mangrove ecosystem. This study aimed to analyze species, diversity, evenness, and dominance in the mangrove vegetation area of Koto XI Tarusan District, West Sumatera, Indonesia. The method used is the descriptive method. The biodiversity of brachyuran crabs’ families, Ocypodidae and Sesarmidae, was analyzed with the Shannon-Wiener index (H’). Four indices were calculated for crabs Ocypodidae and Sesarmidae: species identification, Shannon-wiener (H’) diversity, evenness, and dominance indices. The results showed that there were six species of deposited crabs from the Ocypodidae and Sesarmidae families, namely Uca bellator, U. rosea, Perisesarma eumolpe, P. plicatum, Sarmatium germaimi, and Sesarma curoense. The most abundant species (Di) came from the family Sesarmidae. However, for all stations, diversity (H') has a value that is in the medium category, and evenness (E) is in the high category at each station. The dominance (D) obtained a value categorized as low at each observation station. The condition of environmental parameters in the mangrove vegetation area is included in the category of a good environment. It is still within normal limits for the crabs of the Ocypodidae and Sesarmidae families to live. Two substrate types are found in each observation path: muddy and sandy mud.

Abstract

This study investigates waste management challenges at Purus Beach, Padang City, West Sumatra, with the aim of identifying effective strategies to address environmental and sanitation issues caused by increased tourism and trading activities. A qualitative approach was employed, involving data collection through interviews and observations, with participants including representatives from the Padang City Environment and Forestry Service (DLHK), cleaning staff, traders, and tourists. The findings reveal that waste accumulation at Purus Beach primarily originates from household and industrial debris transported by rivers, exacerbated by poor public awareness and inadequate government policies. Current waste management efforts, such as the provision of segregated bins through CSR initiatives, remain insufficient. Key areas of concern include the lack of sustainable waste processing systems and ineffective regulatory enforcement. Recommendations include improving infrastructure, raising public awareness, fostering community participation, integrating technological innovations, and enforcing stricter policies, such as bans on single-use plastics.The study concludes that a comprehensive, long-term waste management approach is crucial for preserving coastal environments and supporting sustainable tourism. Effective waste management not only enhances environmental health but also contributes to economic and social development in coastal regions.

Abstract

It is hoped that the use of payang fishing gear can help increase the catch of fishermen who will help improve the welfare of the fishing community. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors of production of payang fishing gear fishermen in Sungai Limau District, Padang Pariaman Regency. The research was conducted in Padang Pariaman District, namely in Sungai Limau District, the respondents in this study were full fishermen who had payang fishing gear as many as 21 fishermen and ABK sampling of 2 people each. When the study was conducted for 2 (two) months early November to the end of December 2019. This type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive method research. The results of the analysis show that overall the factors of production, namely the trip trip factor, the amount of fuel, the number of crew members, the length of the wings, the size of the ship's engine, the setting and the institutional and policy influence on production with an F count of 28,352 2.83 on the successful production of payang fishermen's catches. In Sungai Limau District, Padang Pariaman Regency. 90.5% of payang fishermen's catch production can be explained by these factors, while 9.5% is influenced by other tractors not included in the analysis. The factor of the amount of fuel with a t count of 4.523 1.761 and the number of ABK with a t count of 3.246 1.76131 are two main factors that have a significant positive effect on the production of Payang fishermen's catches in Sungai Limau District, Padang Pariaman Regency.

Abstract

Rivers play an important role in supporting people's lives. However, poor river water quality due to pollution has a significant impact on the survival of coastal communities and the condition of the surrounding environment. To overcome water pollution, it is important to implement stricter regulations that are regulated in Law no. 32 of 2009 supplemented by Republic of Indonesia Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021. The research carried out was quantitative descriptive in nature, highlighting the impact on the water quality of the Batang Arau river from examining BOD, COD and TSS, which are river water pollution parameters. The research results show that in 2023, the results of examining COD parameters in the upstream river area will exceed the set quality standard limit, namely 25 mg/L. The recorded value reached 87.3 mg/L, which indicates the presence of very high levels of organic chemicals in these waters. In 2024, inspection results show significant improvements in the water quality of the Batang Arau River. It was concluded that the water quality of the Batang Arau river shows a positive trend. The pollution conditions that occurred in 2023, especially in the COD and BOD parameters in the upstream river, have been successfully improved by 2024. This shows the success of efforts to improve environmental quality carried out in the river area.
