Abstract

Geography skills are abilities that need to be mastered, because they are useful in understanding the relationship between humans and the environment and can train students to think systematically in dealing with environmental and social issues. The advantage of the inquiry learning model lies in its ability to stimulate students to think critically in analyzing phenomena while honing observation and data interpretation skills. This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model on geography skills of grade X students of SMA Panjura Malang. This research applied pseudo-experimental method. The subjects were taken using random sampling technique with X2 class as the experimental class and X4 class as the control class. Data was collected using Post-Test Only Control Group Design. The results revealed that the average Post-Test of geography skills of experimental class students with guided inquiry treatment was higher (88.83) compared to the control class (71.33). The results of hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney U-Test method show the results of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, which indicates a significant difference in the Post Test scores of the two classes. Thus the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, so it can be concluded that the application of guided inquiry model has a significant effect on the mastery of geography skills. This study also found that the investigation stage is the most dominant stage affecting geography skills.

Abstract

The 21st-century educational landscape necessitates integrating technology into learning. This study highlights a gap in current learning media, overly reliant on traditional textbooks, and failing to fully engage students. To address this, the research proposes the development of webtoon-based e-comic media focused on Indonesian Flora and Fauna, aiming to create a more engaging and effective learning experience. This research utilizes the 4D model by S. Thiagarajan for media development, encompassing four distinct phases: 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, and 4) Disseminate. The study's participants include students from class XI IPS 1 and a geography teacher at SMAN 1 Gambiran, Banyuwangi. The research employs qualitative descriptive analysis for data evaluation. The findings of the material and media validation process yielded a score of 77.7%, categorizing it as highly appropriate or valid. Furthermore, the implementation of this media in an educational setting was assessed, revealing that teachers found the media 91.3% effective, while student receptivity was even higher at 93.2%. These results underscore the suitability of the webtoon-based e-comic as a learning medium. The positive reception from both students and teachers indicates its potential as an engaging educational tool, enhancing knowledge acquisition in the field of Indonesian Flora and Fauna

Abstract

This study aims to address the issue of low student interest in learning in class X3 at SMA Panjura, which impacts their learning outcomes. Students often perceive geography as a monotonous and difficult subject, which reduces their involvement and active participation in the learning process. To overcome this issue, this research implements the interactive Kahoot media based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to improve both student interest and the effectiveness of the learning model used in class. PBL encourages students to actively solve real-world problems collaboratively, while Kahoot incorporates gamification elements to increase student engagement. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through Kahoot quizzes, observations, and student interest questionnaires. The results show a significant improvement in both student interest and learning outcomes. Before the implementation of PBL with Kahoot (pre-action), student interest was at 55%. In the first cycle, 80% of students gave positive feedback on Kahoot, although some students felt anxious due to the time limitations and unfamiliarity with the technology. In the second cycle, student interest increased to 92% after the addition of collaborative elements and rewards. The increase in student interest from pre-action (55%) to the second cycle (92%) shows a significant improvement of 37%. These results indicate that the use of Kahoot in PBL successfully enhanced student engagement, interest, and the effectiveness of the learning process.

Abstract

Kegiatan pembelajaran yang tidak berpusat pada siswa dapat memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah oleh siswa. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah tersebut meliputi pada kapasitas siswa dalam menganalisis, merumuskan, dan menyelesaikan permasalahan yang kompleks. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran SETS yang diintegrasikan dengan Webgis Inarisk. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dalam dua siklus dengan empat tahapan yang sama. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 siswa kelas XI IPS. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi dan tes dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan soal uraian. Analisis deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I, terjadi peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah sebesar 20% dengan nilai rata-rata 75,29 yang termasuk kriteria tinggi. Pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 10% dengan nilai rata-rata 82,48 yang juga termasuk kriteria tinggi. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran geografi dengan menerapkan model SETS terintegrasi Webgis Inarisk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 SMA terdapat Kompetensi Dasar yang didalamnya memuat materi mitigasi bencana alam. Salah satu indikator capaian dalam materi tersebut adalah menganalisis persebaran wilayah rawan bencana di Indonesia. Capaian tersebut mengharuskan siswa untuk dapat menganalisis persebaran wilayah bencana. Atas dasar tersebut peneliti mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang didalamnya memuat materi kajian bencana alam yang dilihat dari aspek risiko yakni bahaya, kerentanan, dan kapasitas. Story map dengan judul “Risiko dan Mitigasi Bencana Banjir di Kabupaten Jombang”. Tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan adalah menghasilkan media story map yang valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran geografi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah research dan development dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Analyze). Instrumen yang digunakan menggunakan angket tertutup dan terbuka berupa angket uji validasi media, validasi materi dan tanggapan guru serta siswa. Hasil uji validasi materi mendapatkan persentase 96,4 persen dan validasi media mendapat 98 persen dengan kualifikasi sangat valid. Hasil uji coba pada siswa dan guru dilakukan dengan 1 kali pembelajaran tatap muka dengan model PBL dan memberikan angket tanggapan terhadap penggunaan media story map dengan kualifikasi Baik dengan persentase 77,2 persen dari siswa dan Sangat Baik dengan persentase 93,3 persen dari guru. The 2013 high school curriculum contains Basic Competencies which includes natural disaster mitigation material. One of the indicators of achievement in the material is to analyze the distribution of disaster-prone areas in Indonesia. This achievement requires students to be able to analyze the distribution of disaster areas. On this basis, the researchers developed learning media which contained natural disaster study material viewed from the risk aspect, namely hazard, vulnerability, and capacity. Story map with the title "Risk and Mitigation of Flood Disasters in Jombang Regency". The purpose of research and development is to produce a media story map that is valid and suitable for use in learning geography. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Analyze). The instruments used were closed and open questionnaires in the form of media validation test questionnaires, material validation and teacher and student responses. The results of the material validation test got a percentage of 96.4 percent and media validation got 98 percent with very valid qualifications. The results of trials on students and teachers were carried out with 1 face-to-face learning with the PBL model and provided a response questionnaire to the use of story map with good qualifications with a percentage of 77.2 percent of students and Very Good with a percentage of 93.3 percent of teachers.

Abstract

Kawasan Agrowisata Dillem-Willis potensi pertanian dan sejarah masa lalu berupa bangunan perusahaan kopi sejak zaman belanda dan panorama kawasan perbukitan, Selain terdapat potensi juga terdapat permasalahan yang muncul terkait pengembangan dan pengelolaan agrowisata adalah 1) terdapat kerentanan bencana longsor dan kurangnya pengetahuan terhadap pengurangan resiko 2) pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap agrowisata yang masih rendah 3) keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengembangan dan pengelolaan agrowisata masih rendah 4) Belum ada informasi mencukupi terkait layanan agrowisata. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan pendampingan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan agrowisata berbasis green sustainable tourism di Kawasan Dillem-Willis Trenggalek. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahap pelaksananan, yaitu 1) survei 2) kegiatan pengabdian meliputi penyuluhan, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), dan participatory mapping serta 3) evaluasi kegiatan. Keberhasilan dari kegiatan ini adalah dilihat dari produk yang dihasilkan melalui pendampingan berupa infografis wisata Kawasan Dilem-Wilis dan respon masyarakat yang postif terhadap kegiatan ini.

Abstract

The landscape appearance of Srigonco Village is unique. This uniqueness can be used as a means of learning geography. This study aims to analyze the tourism potential and landscape appearance of Srigonco Village as a means of supporting geography learning. The method used is a field survey by making a working map which is then used to identify tourism potential and landscape appearances. Analysis of natural tourism potential was carried out using neighborhood analysis and analysis of landscape appearance using qualitative descriptive. The study's findings indicate that the tourism potential of Srigonco village is dispersed, with clusters of caves and ponor in the center, an elongated area to the south with beaches, and scattered springs around the community. In addition, the research location has fluvial, karst, and marine landscape elements such as caves, rivers, beaches, waterfalls, and biodiversity preservation, can also be utilised for natural tourism. Srigonco Village's topography can be utilized to teach geography, particularly in the study of geomorphology, hydrology, biogeography, disasters, tourism, and socio-culture. The application of geography learning can be carried out through field activities, research, or project-based learning to provide students with the opportunity to learn directly from the environment.

Disaster mitigation learning in class still uses printed teaching materials which do not help students' understanding. The use of printed teaching materials and boring learning does not fully support the learning process. The aim of this research is to produce website-based digital teaching materials using identification of website addresses with the domain classgeografi.com and to test the suitability of teaching materials for the learning process. The research method uses the ADDIE model with five development stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Data collection was carried out based on the results of validation carried out by material and media validators and analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Feasibility test of digital teaching materials by material validators (83%) and media validators (96%) with the feasibility category "Very Feasible". In the trial conducted at SMAN 1 Gondanglegi, the student user response was (96%) and the teacher user response was (96%) with the feasibility category "Very Feasible". Based on the results of this assessment, website-based digital teaching materials are suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas penghargaan dan penghayatan terhadap nilai-nilai Kebhinekatunggalikaan dan Pancasila di SMP Negeri 15 Malang. Dengan mempertimbangkan keberagaman suku, agama, budaya, dan latar belakang peserta didik, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi implementasi nilai-nilai Bhineka Tunggal Ika dan Pancasila dalam ekosistem sekolah. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan dengan mengamati proses pembelajaran dan kegiatan di sekolah. Hasil observasi menunjukkan ada­nya tanda dan simbol, seperti seragam sekolah, kegiatan keagamaan, dan upacara bendera, yang mencerminkan penghargaan terhadap kebhinekaan dan penghayatan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Ekosis­tem di SMP Negeri 15 Malang menonjolkan toleransi, gotong royong, musyawarah, dan keadilan sosial sebagai bagian integral dari kehidupan sekolah. Artikel ini memberikan gambaran konkret tentang bagaimana nilai-nilai tersebut diterapkan dan diinternalisasi dalam pendidikan untuk memperkuat identitas manusia Indonesia. Kata kunci: penghayatan, penghargaan, kebhinekatunggalikaan, Pancasila, identitas manusia Indonesia Implementing the Values of Kebhinekatunggalikaan and Pancasila in Junior High School as an Attempt to Strengthen Indonesian Identity This article discusses appreciation and appreciation for the values of diversity and Pancasila at SMP Negeri 15 Malang. By considering the diversity of ethnicities, religions, cultures and backgrounds of students, this research explores the implementation of the values of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika and Pancasila in the school ecosystem. Qualitative research methods are used by observing the learning process and activities at school. Observation results show that there are signs and symbols, such as school uniforms, religious activities, and flag ceremonies, which reflect appreciation for diversity and appreciation of Pancasila values. The ecosystem at SMP Negeri 15 Malang emphasizes tolerance, mutual cooperation, deliberation and social justice as an integral part of school life. This article provides a concrete picture of how these values are applied and internalized in education to strengthen Indonesian human identity.
