Abstract

Abstrak. Bakteri penambat Nitrogen ditemukan dan dapat diisolasi dari rhizosfer tanaman. Salah satu tanaman yang dapat tumbuh dengan baik walaupun kondisi tanah kering dan tandus adalah Tanaman Kayu Jawa (Lannea coromandelica). Tanaman Kayu Jawa  memiliki empat senyawa kimia yang berkhasiat sebagai obat, yakni saponin, flavonoid, polifenol dan tanin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bakteri penambat-N2 apa saja yang diisolasi dari rhizosfer tanaman Kayu Jawa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survey, menelusuri keragaman fisiologi mikroba penambat-N2 pada rhizosfer tanaman Kayu Jawa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan  mengambil sampel tanah dari rhizosfer tanaman Kayu Jawa lalu diinkubasi pada media pertumbuhan bakteri penambat Nitrogen Bebas. Karakterisasi Morfologi berdasarkan pengamatan koloni dalam hal bentuk, warna, margin dan tekstur. Sel yang diisolasi ditentukan kelompok nya berdasarkan pewarnaan Gram dan penentuan keberadaan spora. Isolat dikarakterisasi dengan berbagai metode biokimia yaitu nitrat, Uji Reduktase, Uji pemanfaatan sitrat, Uji metil merah, Uji VP, uji Katalase (metode slip penutup), dan Uji oksidase. Hasil isolasi bakteri pada medium Agar Bebas Nitrogen ditemukan 10 isolat dengan morfologi koloni yang berbeda. Morfologi koloni yang diperoleh bervariasi dari yang ukurannya besar, kecil, bentuknya ada yang bulat, warnanya ada yang putih, bening, keruh, konsistensinya ada yang mukoid. kering, dan  permukaan koloni ada yang cembung dan ada yang cekung  Kata Kunci: Isolasi dan karakterisasi, Bakteri rhizosfer penambat Nitrogen, tanaman Kayu Jawa (Lannea coromandelica)

Abstract

The training activity for making fermented yogurt products, conducted at MTS Arifah Gowa, aims to empower MTS teachers and enhance the knowledge of training participants regarding the production of fermented yogurt products as a healthy, convenient, and cost-effective food item with economic value. This activity was conducted in three stages: firstly, providing materials and facilitating discussions with participants; secondly, instructing them in the proper and correct yogurt-making practices; and finally, conducting an evaluation and administering a questionnaire to assess the participants' responses to the training activities provided. Based on the results of the questionnaire evaluation, all training participants expressed satisfaction with this activity, achieving a score of (3.64), indicating that the evaluation results fall within the "very good" category.

Abstract

Motivation has a strategic role in a person's learning activities. Learning motivation is needed to foster interest in lessons, so that students are encouraged to learn. Learning outcomes are a manifestation of a student's process of motivating themselves in learning so that students have high learning outcomes where the student has a high level of mastery in receiving material from the teacher in the subject being studied. This research aims to determine the description of learning motivation and biology learning outcomes of students at SMAN 7 Pangkep. The type of research used is descriptive research using simple random sampling techniques. Data collection in this research used a learning motivation questionnaire and data on student learning outcomes was taken from odd semester exam results in the form of documentation where the data was processed in two ways, namely descriptive and inferential analysis. The data analysis technique uses a simple regression analysis test. The results of this research show that there is a positive relationship between learning motivation and student learning outcomes in biology learning with a correlation coefficient value of 0.487 indicating that the data obtained is in the medium category. The conclusion of this research is that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and the learning outcomes of class XI MIPA students at SMAN 7 Pangkep in biology learning. This means that the higher the student's learning motivation, the higher the learning outcomes. With motivation, students can develop activities and initiatives that can direct and maintain persistence in carrying out learning activities.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology demands that learners enhance their critical thinking skills to filter accurate information, thereby achieving truth and a proper understanding of the knowledge around them. This is also expected to help improve students' learning outcomes. The research used in this study is quantitative descriptive research with the aim of determining the relationship between critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes in biology, specifically in the digestive system topic for Grade XI. The research subjects used were all Grade XI science students at SMAN 3 Palopo. The determination of the subjects used the Slovin formula, resulting in a sample size of 147 students. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling. Data collection in the research utilized two instruments: a critical thinking skills test consisting of 10 essay questions adjusted to the critical thinking skill indicators according to Ennis and a learning outcomes test consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions adjusted to the cognitive dimension indicators of Bloom's revised taxonomy according to Anderson & Krathwohl. Data on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes were analyzed descriptively, and prerequisite tests were conducted using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test and simple linearity tests. The relationship between critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes was tested using the product-moment correlation test, and the results obtained indicate a very strong and positive relationship between critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. This research is expected to provide insight to educators in their efforts to enhance students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital para guru di SD Negeri 67 Rappokalling melalui pengembangan perpustakaan digital sebagai sumber belajar tambahan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Kurangnya akses terhadap bahan bacaan digital dan literasi teknologi menjadi kendala bagi para guru dalam mengoptimalkan proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahap: (1) tahap persiapan, yaitu survei awal untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan teknis dan konten bahan bacaan digital; (2) tahap sosialisasi, yaitu pengenalan manfaat perpustakaan digital; (3) tahap pelatihan, yaitu pelatihan teknis untuk membuat dan mengelola perpustakaan digital; (4) tahap implementasi, yaitu pembangunan perpustakaan digital serta penataan katalog bahan bacaan; dan (5) tahap pendampingan dan evaluasi, yaitu pemantauan penggunaan perpustakaan oleh guru dan siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan digital ini berhasil meningkatkan literasi digital para guru dan mempermudah akses terhadap sumber belajar bagi siswa. Guru mampu mengoperasikan perpustakaan digital secara mandiri dan memiliki keterampilan untuk mengelola bahan bacaan digital yang relevan. Secara keseluruhan, program ini telah mencapai tujuannya dalam mendukung literasi digital dan menyediakan sumber belajar yang mudah diakses di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

UKM Melati dan UKM Sipatujui adalah dua mitra yang bergerak dalam bidang pengolahan ikan di Kabupaten Bantaeng. Kedua mitra selama ini hanya mengembangkan kerupuk amplang dan bakso ikan, mereka belum punya pengetahuan tentang pengolahan produk ikan yang lain misalnya, pembuatan kecap ikan, abon ikan, nugget ikan dan otak-otak ikan sehingga untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kedua mitra di perlukan pelatihan pengolahan ikan dalam bidang program kemitraan masyarakat.Solusi yang telah kami laksanakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi kedua mitra adalah :1. Metode Ceramah yaitu memberikan pengetahuan masalah pembuatan kecap ikan, abon ikan, nugget ikan dan otak-otak ikan,2. Metode praktek yaitu memberikan pelatihan pada kedua mitra,3. Metode pendamping yang berkelanjutan. Target luaran yang akan dihasilkan dalam kegiatan IbM ini adalah, 1. Target dalam aspek produksi berupa pengolahan ikan menjadi : kecap ikan, abon ikan, kerupuk ikan dan nugget ikan, 2. Target dalam aspek peningkatan kualitas ikan yang dapat bertahan lama berupa kecap ikan dan abon ikan dan 3. Kedua mitra memiliki pengetahuan dan manajemen pemasaran dalam pengembangan kecap ikan, abon ikan, nugget ikan dan otak-otak ikan yang dapat meningkatkan pendapatan petani. Metode pelaksanaan yang telah dilaksanakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah kedua mitra yang telah disepakati bersama adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Mengundang kedua mitra untuk berkumpul di balai desa diberikan materi dan pelatihan.2. Kedua mitra terdiri dari 15 orang di bagi menjadi 3 kelompok, masing-masing kelompok diberi kesempatan untuk membuat kecap ikan, abon ikan, nugget ikan dan otak-otak ikan.,3. Menyampaikan materitentang pembutan kecap ikan, abon ikan, nugget ikan dan otak-otak ikan., 4. Kedua mitra mempraktekkan pembuatan kecap ikan, abon ikan, nugget ikan dan otak-otak ikan., 5. Pengemasan hasil olahan untuk dijual dipasaran., 6. Monitoring dan evaluasi program setelah pelaksanaan IbM.

Penelitian dilakukan dengan  menginkubasi sampel tanah dari rhizosfer tanaman Kayu Jawa pada media Pikovskaya untuk menumbuhkan bakteri Pelarut Fosfat. Karakterisasi Morfologi koloni dalam hal bentuk, warna, margin dan tekstur. Isolat dikarakterisasi dengan berbagai metode biokimia yaitu nitrat, Uji Reduktase, Uji pemanfaatan sitrat, Uji metil merah, Uji VP, uji Katalase (metode slip penutup), dan Uji oksidase. Bentuk Sel dan sifat Gram bakteri Pelarut Fosfat juga dianalisis. Dari 7 koloni isolat, bentuk sel isolat RF3, RF4 dan RF7 adalah basil sedang isolat yang lain berbentuk coccus. Reaksi Gram isolat Bakteri Pelarut Fosfat yang diperoleh isolat RF3, adalah Gram Negatif, sedang 6 isolat yang lain adalah Gram positif. Hasil karakterisasi isolat bakteri Pelarut Fosfat menunjukkan bahwa isolat RF1, RF5 dan RF6 adalah Genus Micrococcus. Isolat RF2 adalah Genus Streptococcus. Isolat RF3 adalah Genus Pseudomonas. Isolat RF4 dan RF7 adalah Genus Actinomycetes. Kata Kunci: Isolasi dan Karakterisasi, Bakteri Rhizosfer Pelarut Fosfat, Tanaman Kayu Jawa (Lannea coromandelica)

Abstract

Rice farming in Indonesia frequently faces pest issues, which are typically managed with chemical pesticides that can harm the environment and human health. As an alternative, training on the use of Beauveria bassiana as an environmentally friendly biopesticide was conducted to enhance farmers' knowledge and skills. The training was held in July 2024 with the Mangngu’rangi Farmer Group from Desa Manjapai, Kecamatan Bontonompo, Kabupaten Gowa, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Prior to the training, 95% of farmers were unfamiliar with B. bassiana, and 100% had not used it. The training methods included lectures, discussions, and hands-on demonstrations. Post-test results indicated that 98% of participants found the training material clear and felt prepared to apply this technology. The training is expected to strengthen farmers' ability to adopt biological control technologies, support agricultural sustainability, and contribute to achieving the SDGs in Indonesia.

Abstract

This training aimed to empower the members of Majelis Taklim Nurul Muhajirin in Tamalate District, Makassar City, by educating them on the use of pineapple peels to produce probiotic Tepache. Tepache is a traditional Mexican fermented beverage made from pineapple peels, sweetened with brown sugar, and flavored with cinnamon and cloves. This drink contains probiotics that benefit both immunity and digestive health. Prior to the training, the members of Majelis Taklim had never received such training and were unfamiliar with how to utilize pineapple peels as an ingredient for a healthy drink. Through a hands-on demonstration, participants learned how to make Tepache and took part in an organoleptic test to assess the drink's taste and quality. The training results showed high enthusiasm from the participants, who were pleased to learn that pineapple peels, which they previously considered waste, could be turned into a refreshing and healthy beverage. This training is expected to raise awareness and improve the members’ ability to productively utilize fruit waste.

Abstract

Schools in Indonesia generally use conventional or traditional learning models, where teaching is still centered around the teacher as the main source of knowledge, while students play a more passive role as recipients of information. The lack of active interaction and student engagement in learning can lead to boredom and a lack of motivation to learn, which can result in lower student achievement. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students' learning outcomes, conducted in Class X at SMA Negeri 8 Makassar on the topic of biotechnology. This research is an experimental study with two independent classes: a control class and an experimental class. Based on the research results and data analysis using SPSS statistics, and hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test, an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.004 was found. This shows that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value is less than 0.05, thus Hypothesis 1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using the Problem-Based Learning model on the learning outcomes of students in Class X at SMA Negeri 8 Makassar, particularly on the topic of biotechnology
