Abstract

Often organizations make compensation the only main variable in pursuing employee performance targets, but they forget about excessive workloads that cause burnout to employees. Our study aims to test and analyze the effect of compensation and burnout on employee performance at the Central Bureau of Statistics of Papua Province. The analysis used by the researcher is a multiple regression model analysis technique, namely, to predict how compensation and burnout affect employee performance at the Papua Province Central Statistics Agency, by connecting compensation variables (X1) and burnout (X2) to performance variables (Y). The research instrument was tested using Validity and Reliability Tests. This study found that compensation influenced performance, while Burnout was not proven to influence performance. From this study we have provided empirical findings in the use of burnout variables in influencing employee performance. These findings are interesting because research is still rarely conducted in Papua, and this is the first-time research has been conducted with the Burnout variable in the BPS work unit of Papua Province.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of burnout, eustress/distress, and employee wellbeing on employee performance . The study used quantitative methods with data collection through surveys of permanent employees who worked before and during the pandemic. The research sample was taken using simple random sampling technique with a minimum number of 50 respondents. Data collection was carried out through an online questionnaire, and data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics with presentation in tabular form, mean, and standard deviation. The results showed that burnout has a significant negative effect on employee performance, while eustress has a significant positive effect. Employee wellbeing was also shown to have a positive effect on employee performance, indicating that employees who feel emotionally and psychologically wellbeing tend to perform better. The conclusion of this study is that companies should pay attention to employees' burnout and wellbeing conditions to maximize their performance, especially in facing post-pandemic challenges in the New Normal era. These findings can be the basis for company management to develop strategies to improve wellbeing and manage stress in the work environment so that employee performance remains optimal.

Abstract

This study investigates how role stress and job resources affect emotional exhaustion among university staff, with work-family conflict as a mediator. Using a quantitative causal design, data was collected via 5-point Likert scale questionnaires from 200 employees at XYZ University (from a population of 1,944), including civil servants, permanent staff, and contract workers. SEM-PLS analysis (SmartPLS 3) yielded key findings, role stress significantly increases emotional exhaustion, job resources reduce exhaustion, but not significantly, work-family conflict significantly worsens exhaustion, role stress directly heightens work-family conflict, Job resources weakly reduce work-family conflict (insignificant), Work-family conflict mediates role stress's impact on exhaustion, No significant mediation occurred between job resources and exhaustion. The results highlight that while workplace pressures strongly contribute to burnout, existing support systems fail to sufficiently mitigate stress. This suggests XYZ University should redesign workloads to reduce role ambiguity, strengthen institutional support mechanisms, implement work-life balance policies. The study provides empirical evidence on stress dynamics in higher education, though future research should expand sampling for broader applicability.

Abstract

= 0,220; p = 0,001), budaya kerja (? = 0,332; p = 0,000), dan work-life balance (?

Abstract

This study analyzes the preferences of R1 450VA electricity customers at PT PLN Batam who are not interested in increasing their electricity capacity, even though a free program is available. The study aims to identify the factors influencing customers' decisions, including preferences, economic factors, the effectiveness of promotions, perceptions of benefits and risks, and long-term uncertainties. This research adopts SEM with PLS approach using SmartPLS 4 Software. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with active customers and internal documents from PT PLN Batam. Findings confirmed that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and subsequently the decision to enhance their capacity. Additionally, the decision is also directly influenced by the economic capability. Furthermore, trust and promotion do not affect customer satisfaction directly in relation to the capacity increase program. Customer satisfaction is shown to mediate the relationship between several factors and the decision to enhance capacity. In summary, to improve customer participation, PT PLN Batam should prioritize enhancing the service quality, education and promotion strategies, customer profiling, uncertainty resolution, and trust building.
