Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of learning supervision at MTs Miftahul Ulum Cermenan Jombang, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in teacher performance assessment. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews as a method of data collection, involving the principal, supervision team, and several teachers at the school. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of supervision at MTs Miftahul Ulum is carried out in a structured manner twice a year, with the main focus on Teacher Performance Assessment (PKG) in the even semester. Supervision is carried out using two techniques, namely direct supervision through classroom observation and indirect supervision through meetings and group discussions between teachers. The main supporting factors are teacher mastery of technology, a conducive school culture, adequate facilities and infrastructure, and the existence of a competent supervision team. However, there are several inhibiting factors, such as time constraints, schedule clashes with other activities, and challenges in the readiness of learning devices and student discipline problems. The implications of this study indicate the need to develop a more flexible and data-based supervision system and improve teacher skills in utilizing technology to support the quality of learning. The results of this study can be used as consideration in developing supervision policies and practices in other schools, especially in utilizing technology to improve the effectiveness of supervision and the quality of learning

Abstract

Indonesia has a huge potential for waqf. The magnitude of this potential is due to the majority Muslim population, especially millennials and generation Z. However, there are many factors that cause waqf to not be managed optimally by existing waqf institutions. This research discusses the motivation of millennials and generation Z in waqf through factor analysis of literacy, religiosity, and accessibility. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether literacy, religiosity, and accessibility have an influence on the motivation of the younger generation in waqf and see how much influence these factors have on the factors that motivate millennials and generation Z in waqf. The type of research used in this study is quantitative method. By collecting data using a questionnaire and involving 485 research respondents. After that, the data obtained was analyzed using the SEM analysis method supported by the Smart PLS application to determine the variables that have a significant effect on the motivation of millennials and generation Z in waqf. This research was conducted in South Sulawesi Province. The results of this study indicate that Religiosity and Accessibility have a significant and positive influence on the motivation of millennials and generation Z in waqf with each p-value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05 and a t-statistic value of 10.334 and 12.531, while Literacy does not show a significant effect with a p-value of 0.124 and a t-statistic of 1.537.

Abstract

Bogor Botanic Gardens is an ex-situ plant conservation area in Indonesia. Since BBG is 103 years old, many collections are 100 years old or older. These antique collections may sustain damage, such as broken or collapsing, endangering visitors and employees. As a result, monitoring tree health at BBG is a critical task. According to the tree health monitoring data, 73 of 244 trees were further checked using the PiCUS Sonic Tomograph. Trees from the Fabaceae (31%) and Myrtaceae (10%) families were the most frequently checked. Walnuts trees from the Burseraceae family had the most specimens (47,94%). The PST effectively provides an immediate picture of the stem condition by calculating solid and decaying wood percentage values.

Abstract

This study investigates Indonesia’s bureaucratic redesign as a strategic response to enhance public service effectiveness in the post-decentralization and post-pandemic era. Drawing on a qualitative approach and literature-based analysis, the research explores four interrelated dimensions: organizational structure reform, digital transformation (SPBE), adaptive work culture, and post-pandemic governance strategies. Findings indicate that while regulatory frameworks such as PermenPAN-RB No.?28/2019 and SPBE initiatives provide formal direction, their implementation is shaped by institutional capacity, cultural alignment, and leadership commitment. Structural reforms often fall short due to insufficient capacity-building and performance incentives, while digital initiatives reveal spatial inequality and interoperability challenges. The adoption of adaptive cultural values, notably through the BerAKHLAK framework, shows promise but remains uneven. Similarly, hybrid service models introduced during the pandemic highlight Indonesia’s strategic responsiveness, yet their impact varies across regions. The study offers a synthesized analysis combining empirical findings and theoretical insights, emphasizing the need for coherent, context-sensitive reforms that integrate structural, digital, and cultural components. This research contributes to public administration scholarship by reframing bureaucratic transformation as both a technical and political process requiring iterative adaptation, inclusive governance, and long-term institutional learning.

Abstract

Food security remains a persistent challenge in Central Lombok Regency due to climate vulnerability, land-use change, and overreliance on rice as the dominant staple crop. This study investigates the overlooked potential of Beneng taro (Xanthosoma undipes), locally known as birak, as a climate-resilient and nutritionally valuable alternative. Using a qualitative approach, the research draws on field observations, interviews with farmers and local officials, and a review of empirical and policy literature to examine the crop’s role in local food systems. Findings reveal that Beneng taro is ecologically suited to marginal lands, yet its cultivation and utilization remain marginalized in formal development agendas. The plant’s nutritional benefits, particularly its high fiber content and low glycemic index, are undermined by fragmented knowledge on detoxification techniques, mostly transmitted orally and lacking standardization. Product diversification efforts are emerging but remain isolated, constrained by limited access to technical training, micro-enterprise licenses, and market linkages. Symbolic perceptions of Beneng taro as a wild or inferior crop further inhibit its economic potential and inclusion in mainstream food discourse. The absence of institutional support, including in the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) and agricultural extension services, exacerbates these challenges. Nonetheless, the plant offers significant prospects for value-added innovations such as gluten-free flour, herbal tobacco alternatives, and biodegradable textile inputs. The study concludes that unlocking the potential of Beneng taro requires coordinated interventions in policy integration, food safety education, capacity building, and branding strategies to reposition the crop as a viable contributor to sustainable food systems and rural livelihoods in Central Lombok.

The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data was collected through interviews using a questionnaire. This study used the chi-square statistical test (Confidance Interval (CI) 95%; = 0.05). Multivariate analysis using logistic regression. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between mother's knowledge and mother's characteristics with the visit of mothers under five in posyandu activities (p < 0.05). The dominant independent variable was education (p= 0.011; PR= 14,903, 95% CI = 1,872-118,660). The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between mother's knowledge and mother's characteristics with the visit of mothers under five in posyandu activities.
