Abstract

This research aims to redesign the user interface of the Reparation application, a motorcycle repair service in Makassar, using the Goal-Directed Design (GDD) method. Data collection was carried out through interviews and questionnaires with 20 users, and the data was processed using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The initial test obtained an average SUS score of 46.375 with a "Not Acceptable" rating. The second test used a new design prototype, which achieved an average score of 84.5 with an "Acceptable" rating. These results indicate an improvement in interface quality from the "Poor" category to "Excellent". With an average score of 84.5 in the second test, the new design has met the standard average SUS of 68. Thus, the prototype design using GDD has successfully met user needs and produced an attractive and user-friendly interface.

Abstract

Hi Jobs! is a mobile application that will help people find work because it provides various information concerning job vacancies. This application is still relatively new and has never been tested before. However, this application already has several criticisms and suggestions from users regarding problems that had occurred when using the Hi Jobs! application. The problems that occurred were related to aspects of application usability. Therefore, usability testing is needed to determine the effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction when using the Hi Jobs! application using Performance Measurement and Concurrent Think Aloud techniques. The test was conducted on 20 participants who were divided into two categories, advanced and novice. The results of the study showed that advanced participants had a success rate of 96% with a total of one failed task, while novice participants had a success rate of 89% with a total of four failed tasks. The average time for participants in the advanced category was 30 seconds and the novice category was 37 seconds. Based on the results of interviews conducted, there were problems with 4 application features of the Hi Jobs! application. In conclusion, this application was very effective but it was not efficient nor has it meet user satisfaction because there are some features that are difficult to find. Therefore, recommendations for improvement have been made based on the received criticisms and suggestions to meet user satisfaction.

Abstract

Search Buddy is a website that provides service search services accessible through any platform. To consistently meet users' expectations of the website's services, an analysis of the website is essential. The conducted research aims to implement the WebQual 4.0 method in analyzing the quality and user satisfaction of the Search Buddy website. The WebQual 4.0 method is a framework that encompasses three main dimensions: usability quality, information quality, and service interaction quality. This method is considered suitable as it measures website quality from the perspective of end users. The analysis results indicate that the variables of usability quality and service interaction quality have a positive impact on user satisfaction. However, the information quality variable does not have a positive impact on user satisfaction. The coefficient of determination analysis shows that the variables of usability quality, information quality, and service interaction quality collectively influence user satisfaction by 40.3%. Based on these findings, it is recommended to pay attention to the aspects of usability quality and service interaction quality present on the website. Additionally, there is a need to enhance the quality of information presented on the website to make it more informative, relevant, and user-friendly, thereby potentially elevating user satisfaction with the Search Buddy website.

Abstract

Getpromo atau Gepo merupakan sebuah website yang menyediakan informasi promo makanan dan minuman di Kota Makassar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan peringkat website Gepo melalui internet. Tetapi ada beberapa hal yang harus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan peringkat website getpromo yaitu menggunakan optimasi SEO On-page. Langkah awal yang dilakukan adalah menentukan kata kunci yang akan ditargetkan kemudian melakukan optimasi seperti Title tags, Meta descriptions, dan Meta Keywords. Setelah melakukan optimasi tersebut hasil yang didapatkan yaitu 1 dari 3 kata kunci telah menempati posisi barisan halaman pertama sehingga jumlah pengunjung dapat meningkat. Dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode SEO On-page mampu meningkatkan peringkat website Gepo pada mesin pencari Google

Abstract

Blind individuals face obstacles in identifying objects or things around them, so a tool is needed that can help overcome these obstacles. This study aims to design an Arduino-based Hand Glove prototype that can help blind people identify objects around them. Research data collection was carried out through literature studies and testing of the designed prototype. The system is designed to consist of two large parts, the first part is the hand glove used by blind individuals, consisting of Arduino, RFID reader and speaker. The second part consists of objects to be identified that have been given an identity label in the form of a RIFD Tag. The evaluation results show that the design prototype can read and identify objects such as chairs, tables, laptops, cellphones and PCs which are distinguished from the sound variations that have been set and defined using a buzzer as a notification tool.
