The current study is intended to explore the typology of other-initiated self-repair in term of its frequency of occurrence and to investigate the mechanism of self-repair in an academic setting. To obtain the required data, a classroom conversational analysis was conducted in which the researchers observed a group of graduate students (19 active EFL speakers) in a state university in East Java, Indonesia. Based on the qualitative data analysis, the results of the study revealed that all typologies of other-initiated selfrepair were used depending on the aims the interlocutors try to gain since all typologies have diverse aims and ways. Of all typologies, confirming checks were dominantly used by the participants. Regarding the mechanisms, three types of mechanisms were found; full two-cycle repair, background check, and short-cut repair sequence.

Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, focusing on students' performance, motivation, and engagement during the course. The findings revealed that gamification-based TBLT significantly enhanced learners' motivation and engagement by fostering a sense of achievement through rewards. Learners showed improved reading comprehension, demonstrating a better ability to understand, summarize, and analyze texts. Immediate feedback adjust students with strategies and improve their performance in real-time, while the collaborative nature of the gamified environment promoted social interaction and peer learning. The study concludes that gamification-based TBLT is an effective approach to enhancing reading comprehension in online learning environments. Future research is recommended to explore the long-term effects of gamification on learner retention and the impact of task complexity on advanced learners.

Abstract

The study examined how, in the age of globalization, education had advanced to a new level where the sharing of information had transcended national boundaries and examined intercultural communication competency based on the experiences of foreign students in Indonesia. But educational establishments weren't completely equipped to meet these contemporary demands. Even though intercultural communication research is not new, concerns about emerging cultural diversity have only recently gained a lot of attention. As a result, intercultural communication competency (ICC) in educational sectors is still quite low and needs further investigation. The study used a descriptive qualitative methodology in conjunction with a case and phenomenological investigation strategy. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect the data, along with research material. Through the analysis of the interactive multicultural building model—which is bolstered by the ideas of intercultural communication and the internationalization of higher education—the research findings demonstrate the persistence of disparities and opinions, as well as an evaluation of the three-perspective model that serves as the main focus of the study. It consists of three processes: behavioral (intercultural adeptness), cognitive (intercultural awareness), and emotional (intercultural sensitivity). In addition, there are other difficulties that need to be overcome.

The results of the study show that Tafsir At-Tanwir combines the tahlili and mawdu'i methods simultaneously (tahlili cum-thematic). The interpretation of philanthropic verses in Tafsir At-Tanwir tries to awaken the spirit of Islamic philanthropy which is built through the spirit of the Al-Quran. Philanthropy is a manifestation of the concept of charity theology with the spirit of al-Mauninitiated by KH Ahmad Dahlan, namely worship is not only of mechanical-ritualist-individualist value but of practical action that also has universal value within a frame of social piety. Abstract

This article discusses the mechanism of renvoi procedures in civil cases specifically for bankruptcy in Indonesia, with a focus on the case study of Supreme Court Decision Number 44 PK/Pdt.Sus-Pailit/2021. The renvoi procedure allows creditors or debtors to dispute the amount of debt that has been acknowledged by the curator in the debt/receivables verification meeting. Through analysis of this decision, this article examines how disputes regarding the amount of debt can proceed to the judicial review stage and highlights the important role of the Supreme Court in providing legal certainty. The results of the analysis show that the renvoi procedure is an important instrument to ensure fairness and accuracy in the bankruptcy resolution process. Even though the amount of the debt has been acknowledged in the verification meeting, new evidence or recalculation can change the amount, and the dispute can be taken to court until a decision with permanent legal force is reached. This case highlights the complexity and importance of procedural review as well as the central role of the Supreme Court in ensuring that the bankruptcy resolution process is fair and in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
