Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of inpatient room plans on the quality of nursing services at Hospital X, Blitar Regency. The background of this study is based on the change in the layout of the inpatient room after the functioning of the new building in the hospital, which causes confusion for patients and families due to information plans that are no longer in accordance with the actual conditions. This study uses a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and open discussions with hospital technical staff. The results showed that unupdated spatial plans inhibited the effectiveness of nurses' work and decreased patient satisfaction. As a solution, the researchers designed a new plan that was more informative, easily accessible on social media, and placed in strategic areas of the hospital. The plan is expected to improve the flow of movement, support coordination between staff, and improve the quality of nursing services. Recommendations from this study include regular updates of the plan, the use of information technology, training of information officers, and the involvement of users in the evaluation of the plan.

Abstract

Outpatient registration is the initial stage in healthcare services at medical facilities. Ngudi Waluyo Regional General Hospital in Wlingi has demonstrated the ability to meet challenges in implementing outpatient procedures in accordance with established SOPs, while also providing innovations and new information to patients. This study aims to design an outpatient registration flow that is easy for patients to understand, especially in locating the intended polyclinic, particularly for new patients. The flow design was created using the Canva platform with a visual infographic-based approach. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through field observations and interviews with registration staff. The results of this study show that the use of visual media in the form of clear maps and icons greatly helps patients understand the registration process and directions to the polyclinic. The implementation of this visual design is recommended as a strategy to improve the quality of hospital services.

Abstract

Primary health care (PHC) is increasingly required to implement targeted, adaptive, and evidence-based health promotion in line with the growth of digital health technologies. Nevertheless, the utilization of routine medical record data as a foundation for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to support health promotion in PHC remains limited. Key constraints include fragmented information systems, high data processing burdens, and restricted analytic capacity. This study aimed to explore existing practices, barriers, and system development needs related to medical record based CRM to strengthen data-driven health promotion, with particular attention to data integration. A qualitative exploratory study was conducted in 2025 at PHC Wagir, Malang District, Indonesia. Data were obtained through semi-structured in-depth interviews with two key informants: a health promotion officer and a medical record and health information (RMIK) officer. Thematic analysis focused on five domains: current systems, use of data in PHC programs, challenges in data provision and utilization, information system requirements, and expectations for system development. The findings indicate that health promotion data are dispersed across multiple non-integrated applications, leading to double data entry, spreadsheet-based reprocessing, limited filtering, and minimal trend analysis or target segmentation. System instability and limited human resources further constrain analytic use. Informants emphasized the need for an integrated “single window” system featuring automated summaries, flexible filtering, disease trend visualization, multiuser access, and cross program integration. This study advances informatics in public health by proposing a socio technical framework for data-driven CRM implementation in resource limited primary care settings.

Abstract

Health service facilities (Fasyankes) play an important role in recording and reporting extraordinary events (KLB) as part of the national health system. However, there are still various obstacles in the recording and reporting system, such as discrepancies in patient identity, data duplication, reporting delays due to manual recording, and lack of digital infrastructure and training of health workers. This study aims to analyze the recording and reporting system of outbreak cases in health facilities based on a literature review of various previous studies. The method used was a literature review by analyzing relevant research results from 2019 to 2024. The results showed that implementing a digital system can improve the accuracy and efficiency of recording and reporting outbreak cases, enable early detection, and accelerate health interventions. However, obstacles such as limited human resources, high workload, and suboptimal coordination between agencies are still a challenge in implementing the system. Therefore, strengthening digital infrastructure, increasing the capacity of health workers, and optimizing coordination between agencies are needed to improve the effectiveness of the outbreak recording and reporting system in health facilities.

Abstract

Patient data security in electronic medical records (EMR) is a major concern in healthcare facilities. This study aims to analyze EMR data security based on the ISO 27001 standard through a literature review method. Data were collected from various previous studies that discussed aspects of information security in the implementation of EMR. The results of the study indicate that although security mechanisms such as authentication, encryption, and access control have been implemented, weaknesses are still found in the management of access rights, recording user activities, and security policies. Several healthcare facilities have not fully met the ISO 27001 standard, especially in the aspects of risk management documentation and security evaluation. Therefore, it is necessary to improve security policies, train medical personnel, and provide periodic evaluations to ensure better protection of patient data.

Abstract

AND “pending” OR “tertunda” AND “klaim” AND “BPJS” OR “JKN”.
