Abstract

Article 74 of Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies establishes social and environmental responsibilities for companies operating in or related to natural resources. Companies based on information and technology must also be accompanied by changes in legal norms, especially in the field of implementing environmental social responsibility. According to Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies, only companies whose business activities are related to natural resources or businesses that impact the environment are subject to environmental social responsibility, while IT startups and digital businesses do not disturb natural resources and do not affect the environment. Changes in society are indeed followed by changes in legal norms. The older a law gets, the more weaknesses and shortcomings it will have. Changes in norms governing environmental social responsibility must be adjusted to the current business climate. Environmental Social Responsibility should also be mandated for companies operating in the digital business sector. To maximize environmental social responsibility for large companies operating in the digital business sector, it must be supported by adequate legal norms.

Abstract

Heavy metals are a group of elements with high density (5 g/cm³) and unique chemical properties. They can be toxic and hazardous to the environment and human health. Heavy metal contamination in river waters is commonly caused by mercury (Hg), lead (Pb), and copper (Cu). This study aims to analyze the concentration of these metals in several rivers in Gorontalo Province using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). Water samples were collected from four different rivers at a depth of 0.5 meters. The results showed that Hg concentration in the Bulango River exceeded the established quality standards, while Pb and Cu levels in the Bone River were within safe limits. The Limboto and Hulawa Rivers also met the quality standards.

Abstract

Food safety is an important issue that must be considered, especially in children's food consumption. The use of borax in food is still found in various snacks sold in school environments, even though this substance can cause serious health disorders. This community service activity aims to increase awareness among students, teachers, and parents at SDIT Al Islah Kota Gorontalo regarding the dangers of borax in food. The method used is lectures and practical borax detection using turmeric as an indicator. If the food contains borax, the color of the turmeric-stained stick changes from yellow to purple. The results of the activity show an increase in participants' understanding of the dangers of borax, as well as higher awareness in choosing safer food. This education is expected to be an initial step in monitoring children's snacks and reducing the use of borax in food.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Spiritual Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, and Intellectual Intelligence on students' English learning outcomes. The primary objective of this research is to determine the extent to which these three forms of intelligence influence students' academic performance in English, and to assess how strong the impact of each form of intelligence is on learning achievement. This study uses a survey method with correlational and regression analysis techniques to examine the relationships between the three independent variables—Spiritual Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, and Intellectual Intelligence—and one dependent variable, English learning achievement. The key findings of this study reveal a significant simultaneous influence of Spiritual Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, and Intellectual Intelligence on English learning achievement, with a Sig value of 0.000 and an F count of 43.27. These three intelligences together account for 60.3% of the variance in English learning achievement, while the remaining 39.7% is attributed to other factors not studied. Additionally, each form of intelligence individually shows a significant impact on learning achievement: Spiritual Intelligence (Sig = 0.000, t = 4.001), Emotional Intelligence (Sig = 0.001, t = 3.684), and Intellectual Intelligence (Sig = 0.001, t = 3.687). These findings suggest that enhancing Spiritual, Emotional, and Intellectual Intelligence can significantly improve students' academic performance in English.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi senyawa-senyawa yang terkandung dalam fraksi n-heksan dari ekstrak daun Hulotua (Commelina longifolia L.) menggunakan teknik spektrofotometri Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-VIS) dan Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Daun Hulotua merupakan tumbuhan yang memiliki berbagai potensi bioaktif, namun komposisi kimia dari ekstraknya belum banyak diteliti. Ekstraksi dilakukan menggunakan pelarut n-heksan untuk memperoleh fraksi senyawa non-polar didapat hasil persen rendamen 17,33%. Skrining fitokimia ekstrak n-heksan daun hulotua (Commelina longifolia L.) positif mengandung senyawa Alkaloid, steroid dan terpenoid. Karakterisasi fraksi ini diawali dengan analisis spektrofotometri UV-VIS. Hasil spektrum UV-VIS menunjukkan adanya absorpsi maksimum pada panjang gelombang 260 nm yang mengindikasikan kehadiran senyawa turunan terpenoid yakni triterpenoid. Selanjutnya, analisis FTIR dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi gugus fungsi yang terdapat dalam senyawa tersebut. Hasil interpretasi Spektrum FTIR terdapat gugus C-H (alkana) pada 2902,77 cm-1 adanya gugus gem dimetil CH2 dan CH3 pada daerah bilangan gelombang 1442,48 dan 1366,76 cm-1. Gugus karbonil C=O (ester) adanya serapan pada bilangan gelombang 1737,56 cm-1, yang juga diperkuat dengan adanya ikatan C-O pada gugus ester pada bilangan gelombang 1171,144 cm-1. Hasil ini juga memperkaya informasi dan dapat digunakan sebagai base data mengenai komposisi kimia dari (Commelina longifolia L.), khususnya pada fraksi non-polarnya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the English language learning needs of students in the Public Administration and Business Administration programs at STIA Tabalong to design an effective curriculum. The study focuses on determining the 3-credit semester load, teaching materials, learning activities, and evaluation methods that will support academic success and job readiness, addressing the needs of both students and stakeholders. A qualitative descriptive approach was used to achieve this goal. The data required for the needs analysis includes information regarding the gaps, desires, and necessities related to English language learning. Data was collected from four sources: students from the Public Administration and Business Administration programs, department heads, lecturers, and the syllabi and RPS for the English for Professional Purposes course. The total number of students across semesters 1-5 was 215, and the study included 40 respondents selected through purposive sampling, consisting of students who are currently learning English and those who have already studied English at STIA Tabalong. Data collection techniques involved surveys with questionnaires, structured interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and qualitative methods. The findings show that the English language needs of Public Administration and Business Administration students include both English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Occupational Purposes (EOP). While the existing English for Professional Purposes course fulfills the EAP needs, the EOP needs will be addressed by adding a 3-credit English course tailored to the workplace.

Abstract

Kepatuhan adalah tingkat seseorang dalam melaksanakan suatu aturan yang disarankan. Tingkat seseorang dalam melaksanakan perawatan, pengobatan, dan perilaku yang disarankan oleh perawat, dokter, atau tenaga kesehatan lainnya. Kepatuhan berobat memiliki arti sejauh mana seseorang minum obat, mengikuti diet, dan menjalankan perubahan gaya hidup sesuai dengan rekomendasi dari penyedia layanan kesehatan. Faktor penyebab ketidakpatuhan minum obat yaitu usia, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, dan pekerjaan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kepatuhan obat pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 di Puskesmas Tilango dan menganalisis hubungan antara karakteristik responden dengan kepatuhan minum obat, menggunakan kuesioner MMAS-8 terhadap 97 responden. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif observasional dan pengambilan data dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan evaluasi tingkat kepatuhan penggunaan obat pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 di Puskesmas Tilango dengan metode MMAS-8 termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Berdasarkan karakteristik pasien, ada hubungan antara usia dengan kepatuhan minum obat yaitu dengan nilai p=0,000 (p<0,005) artinya ada hubungan yang signifikan. Sedangkan pada jenis kelamin, pendidikan, dan pekerjaan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan dengan nilai p(>0,005).

Abstract

Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is one of tuber vegetable crops that is widely grown in various countries in the word and is often used as food spices and medicines. The purpose of this study was to characterize the volatile oil compound ethyl acetate extract of garlic (Allium sativum L.) using Uv-Vis and IR spectrophotometric metods. Several methods used in this research included extraction, identification of compounds, fractionation, thin layer chromatography, prepative thin layer chromatography, and characterization of compounds using Uv-Vis spectrophotometry and IR spectrophotometry. A total of 3000 grams od garlic was macerated using 70% ethanol, then evaporated and obtained a thick extract of 421.5 grams. The results of thin layer chromatography used an eluent ratio of Methanol : Ethyl Acetate (4:2) obtained stains with an Rf value of 0,55. The optimizion result of maximum wavelength of garlic isolated (Allium sativum L.) is 232 nm wich indicated  the presence of an electron transition  n→σ*.The results of IR  spectrophotometry had fuctional groups at wave numbers 3231.530 cm-1 (N-H), 1637.48 cm-1 (C=O), 1014.65 cm-1(C-N).

Abstract

Cosmetic are mixture of materials that are ready to be used on the outside of the body. One type cosmetics makeup that is often used is Blush-On. This Blush-On cosmetics has a distinictive red color, so it issu red color, so it is suspected that there is still a misuse in the addition of Rhodamine B to Blush—n cosmetics, especially cosmetics that are not registered to BPOM (The Nationalof Drug and Food Control). Based on the PERMENKES RI No. 445/Menkes/Per/V1998 concerning certain dyes declared dangerous it is a synthetic dye Rhodamine B which is one of the dyes that is prohibited for use in-cosmetics products because the fidings of BPOM from 2014 to 2015, Rhodamine B is still used as one of the dyes. This study aims to knowthe misuse of the addition of synthetic dye Rhodamine B to Blush-On cosmetics and to know how much Rhodamine B is contained in the Blush-On cosmetic samples. The results of the qualitative test with the staining method on the Blush-On cosmetics samples A,B,C,D, and E, it is sample E that produces a clear reddish color that has he potential to contain Rhodamine B . Furthemore, it is continued with a quantitative test by using Uv-Vis Spectrofotometry, and it obtains levels of Rhodamine B in sample E is 9,98mquantitative test by using Uv-Vis Spectrofotometry, and it obtains levels of Rhodamine B in sample E is 9,98mg/g.

Abstract

Hulotua (Commelina longifolia L.) berasal dari family commelinaceae yang dimanfaatkan sebagai pengobatan tradisional untuk gejala demam. Penelitin ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui uji efek antipiretik ekstrak etanol 70% hulotua (Commelina longifolia L.) pada mencit (Mus musculus). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode ekstraksi maserasi, uji skrining fitokimia, serta uji antipiretik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hulotua (Commelina Longifolia L) yang diekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi didapat hasil persen rendemen sebesar 19%. Pada uji efek antipiretik dilakukan menggunakan mencit (Mus musculus) dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok perlakuan kelompok I kontrol negatif (Na-CMC), kelompok II kontrol positif (paracetamol), kelompok III dosis ekstrak 100 mg/kg BB, kelompok IV dosis ekstrak 200 mg/kg BB, kelompok V dosis ekstrak 400 mg/kg BB, dengan dosis yang memiliki efektiftas paling baik sebagai antipiretik pada mencit jantan setelah dirata-ratakan terdapat pada dosis 400 mg/kg BB dengan penurunan suhu tubuh dari dari 35,12oC ke 34,38oC. Hasil penelitian selanjutnya dianlisis menggunakan uji statistik one way ANOVA dengan nilai p<0,05 (α 0,05)
