Abstract

Abstract, Problems that occur in the field is that there are some students who do not communicate well skilled in the learning activities so that learning results are obtained not maximized. The purpose of this study was (1) Describe the communication skills of students SMAN 2 South Solok, (2) Describe the student learning activities SMAN 2 South Solok, (3) Looking relationship communication skills with students' learning activities SMAN 2 South Solok. This study uses quantitative correlational descriptive analysis approach.

Abstract

Productive Subject of Accounting is the main subject competency skills for students who continue their education at SMK Negeri 2 Padang majoring in Accounting. Difficulties of learning of students in productive subjects feared accounting students will increasingly have an impact on subsequent learning outcomes. Need the cooperation of BK teacher and subject teachers /practices to help students overcome these difficulties. In fact, help sought for students who have not yet obtained the results as expected. This study aimed to describe the cooperation that has been done by BK teacher and subject/practices teachers to help students who have difficulty learning in productive subjects in SMK Negeri 2 Padang.This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Subjects were a person who has as BK teachers and 3 subject/practices teacher given the task of fostering productive groups of subjects for class X Accounting Department of school year 2011-2012 in SMK Negeri 2 Padang. Researchers used data collection tool that statement list format (questionnaire), interview, tape recorders and digital cameras. The data were analyzed and elaborated qualitatively, questionnaire respondents through interviews and documentary study describe naratively. The findings of the study revealed that cooperation BK teachers and subject/practices teachers help sought for students who have difficulty learning in accounting subjects as a whole has been done, though not as expected.

Abstract

Character as an important result of education seeks so that individuals can understand and behave properly in accordance with moral values in their lives. The character building strategy has been implemented even applied in several researches and studies in universities. One effort to build the right character is done for students through the implementation of ongoing guidance of character values and manifested in behavior. The Real-Life Story (RELIST) model as one of the positive therapeutic interventions is felt to be more appropriately applied also in developing individual character identification of character strengths related to the development of individual strengths or strengths, through a series of structured and systematic activities.

Abstract

Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death among young people aged 15–29. This study aims to reveal the efficiency of group setting modeling techniques to improve self-regulation in preventing traffic violations in adolescents. There are two groups of students in SMK 1 Padang City. The group consists of 25 students. This type of experimental research with Quasy-Experiment design. The research sample is Vocational High School (SMK) students. Sampling using random cluster sampling. The instrument used is a self-regulation questionnaire in traffic. Then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Two Independent sample with the help of the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 22 program.This study found that adolescent self-regulation in traffic increased after being given counseling services using group setting modeling techniques. This research can be used to reduce the level of traffic violations on the highway, especially among teenagers, especially in the city of Padang. The average score of group members in the pretest was 73.8 while the posttest was 91.72, meaning that there was an increase in the score of 13.00. The provision of group setting modeling techniques can significantly improve adolescent self-regulation against traffic violations.  This research can be an alternative in the world of education to prevent traffic violations, especially in adolescents.

Abstract

Fenomena dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya permasalahan yang dialami oleh setiap manusia sebagai makhluk individu dan makhluk sosial dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. pentingnya seorang konselor melakukan intervensi psikologis berorientasi krisis yang dibutuhkan konseli yaitu salah satu nya dengan layanan konseling kelompok. konselor mempunyai peran yang penting untuk membuat dan membantu kestabilan emosi konseli. Konselor dapat melakukan treatment untuk mereduksi atau mengurangi permasalahan konseli dengan beberapa strategi. Diantaranya terapi bermain, terapi kreatif, smile child center, terapi emosi dan yang lainnya. Terapi emosi dan kognitif bisa dilakukan menggunakan metode photo therapy. Yaitu pendekatan baru dalam Bimbingan Konseling dengan menggunakan media gambar dengan tujuan menstimulasi memori, emosi, serta pengalaman masa lalu konseli. Sehingga menghasilkan sudut pandang baru yang bisa menemukan solusi atas problem yang dialaminya. Metode photo therapy merupakan metode sederhana dan aplikatif. Pelaksanaan konseling kelompok pada setting sekolah yang terdiri dari 3 kelompok. Dan pada masing-masing kelompok terdiri dari 8-9 orang. Metode ini cukup kreatif, berbasis visual juga terbukti mampu meningkatkan efektivitas saat konseling kelompok.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that many students fear. This fear has a negative impact, one of which is math anxiety. This study aims to describe the level of math anxiety of SMKN students in Padang and the factors that influence it. This research is a descriptive study with a total sample of 72 students at one of the State Vocational Schools in Padang City. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique, which is based on the results of recommendations, observations, and interviews from counseling teachers and Mathematics teachers at SMKN Padang. This study measures math anxiety which includes math test anxiety, numerical anxiety, and abstraction anxiety. The data collection tool used in this study was a questionnaire with a Likert scale model totaling 38 statement items with 5 alternative answers. Overall, Students' math anxiety is in the high category of 45.83%, which means that many students experience math anxiety, the average student anxiety towards mathematics is the high category which is influenced by personality, environmental and intellectual factors. Abstract

Today traffic accidents that happen in domination by high school students, shows that traffic violations need important handling to be overcome. this research objects to analyze students' regulation conditions in traffic violations. This type of research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, using a data collection tool in the form of a self-regulation questionnaire in traffic. The subjects of this study were vocational high school students. The sample in this study was 65 vocational high school students. Subjects were taken by simple random sampling technique. This study uses data analysis techniques with descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that self-regulation consists of various aspects. Each aspect has a different percentage. The aspect of metacognition ability has a moderate percentage of 60.0%, the motivational aspect of self-regulation has the lowest percentage with 55.4%, while the behavioral aspect has a percentage of 66.2% in the medium category. The results of this study can be used as information for counseling teachers or counselors as a basis in efforts to provide assistance to students to improve adolescent self-regulation in traffic in order to prevent negative behavior, one of which is traffic violations that often occur in adolescents.

Abstract

The application of counseling to make career decisions for students needs to be done carefully and use an appropriate approach. One counseling approach that is suitable for overcoming the problem of career selection is traits and factors. The method used in this research is library research. How to collect data with documentation and find written sources according to the traits and factors approach for career decision making. The results of this study are that the trait and factor counseling approach can influence and be used to make career decisions for high school students whether to continue their study program or in a field of work that is definitely in accordance with their potential talent interests.

Abstract

Siswa diwajibkan untuk menyelesaikan tugas akademiknya, namun dalam penyelesaian tugas akademik siswa cenderung mengalami masalah seperti prokrastinasi akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self control terhadap prokrastinasi akademik siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah kuanititatif korelasional, Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 267 siswa yang diambil melalui proportional Stratified Random Sampling dan proses penarikan sampel diawali dengan mengidentifikasikan populasi berdasarkan kelompok kelas menggunakan rumus Slovin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki tingkat prokrastinasi akademik berada pada kategori sedang atau 47%, tingkat self control yang tinggi atau 58%. Berdasarkan uji korelasi terdapat hubungan antara self control dan prokrastinasi akademik sebebesar 36,7%. Temuan penelitian ini dapat dijadikan masukan dalam penyusunan program BK untuk membantu siswa menghindari prokrastinasi akademik melalui pelayanan BK

Abstract

This research is influenced by a phenomenon that has occurred at State of Junior High School 27 Padang, namely low student interpersonal communication. Self-concept is one of the factors that influence students' interpersonal communication. This study aims to analyse the relationship between self-concept and interpersonal communication, the research method used is quantitative. This type of research is descriptive correlative. The population in this study was 364 student and the sample of this study was 190 student. The research instrument was a questionnaire raised with Likert scale measurement, the data analysed with descriptive correlation statistics with the help of SPSS version 25.00. The results show that students' self-concept is in the high category, which means that students already have a good self-image of themselves. Interpersonal communication is in the high category, indicating that students already have the ability to communicate effectively with others. There is a positive and significant increase between students' self-concept and interpersonal communication. This means that high and low interpersonal communication can be explained from self-concept, then interpersonal communication will be higher. The results of research data analysis obtained R = 0.213 with the degree of p = 0.003 (p < 0.005), R2 = 0.18.3%. This study proves that there is a positive and significant increase in self-concept and interpersonal communication of junior high school student.
