Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of group guidance services using audio-visual media to increase students' understanding of the dangers of drugs. This research uses quantitative methods with an experimental type. The population in this study was 115 with the selected samples being 10 experimental groups and 10 control groups taken using simple random sampling techniques. The research results show that group guidance services using audio-visual media have proven effective in increasing students' understanding of the dangers of drugs. The increase in post test results for the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, which is proof that this research was successful. This increase proves that group guidance using audio-visual media is effective. Then the results of the hypothesis test also stated that there was an influence provided by group guidance using audio-visual media on students' understanding of the dangers of drugs.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the following aspects: (1) parental attachment, (2) self-concept, (3) self-confidence, and (4) the relationship between parental attachment and self-concept with the self-confidence of children who memorize the Qur'an. The research utilizes a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design. The study population consists of 121 individuals, and a sample of 94 participants was selected using the Slovin formula and proportional random sampling technique. The research instrument employed a Likert Scale questionnaire, and data were analyzed using descriptive correlational and multiple regression analysis. The research findings reveal that (1) children who memorize the Qur'an exhibit a significantly high level of parental attachment, (2) their self-concept falls within the moderate category, (3) their self-confidence is also at a moderate level, and (4) there is a significant relationship between parental attachment and self-concept with the self-confidence of children who memorize the Qur'an. Therefore, it can be concluded that there exists a positive and significant association between parental attachment and self-concept with the self-confidence of children who memorize the Qur'an.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research with a correlational design. Research with this correlational design involves collecting data to identify the level of correlation between two or more variables(Santoso & Madiistriyanto, 2021). Research by typecorrelational quantitative which aims to test how big the relationship between research variables is by using multiple regression analysis techniques to test the relationship of two independent variables to one dependent variable(Siregar, 2014). The population in this study were all students in class X and XI of SMKN 3 Padang for the 2022/2023 academic year with a total of 804 students. While the sampling in research using techniquesproportional Stratified Random Sampling,This technique is used for random and stratified sampling of members of the population. The sampling process begins with identifying the population based on class groups using the Slovin formula(Joseph 2013)so that as many as 267 students from class X and XI were found as samples in this study. From this study, it can be concluded that self-control and parenting style of students at SMKN 3 Padang are high, while student academic procrastination is moderate. The results of the correlation coefficient analysis using multiple regression techniques show that there is a relationship between self-control and academic procrastination of 36.7%, while there is no correlation between self-control and academic procrastination. the relationship between parenting style and students' academic procrastination with a value of 0.14%. Therefore it can be seen that students' academic procrastination is only influenced by self-control. Students with low self-control will have high academic procrastination behavior, while students with high self-control will tend to have low academic procrastination.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of information services using the jigsaw cooperative learning model to increase student self-esteem. This type of research is Quasi Experiment Design. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study were 60 students who were divided into two classes. The research instrument used was the Likert Scale model, the data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov 2 Independent Samples. The research results show that; (1) There is a significant difference in the self-esteem of the experimental group students before and after participating in information services using the jigsaw type cooperative learning mode, the probability score is below alpha 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), (2) there is a difference in the self-esteem of the group students control before and after participating in information services without using the jigsaw cooperative learning model obtained a probability number below alpha 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), (3) there was a difference in the self-esteem of the experimental group students who were given information services using the cooperative learning type jigsaw with the control group that was given information services without using the jigsaw type of cooperative learning model was obtained at 0.014 or probability below 0.05 (0.014 <0.05), the difference can be seen from the posttest results of the experimental group which are higher than the posttest results of the control group. From these findings it can be concluded that information services using the jigsaw cooperative learning model are more effective in increasing students' self-esteem.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically prove the relationship between self-efficacy, optimism and the resilience of adolescents living in orphanages. This study uses a correlational descriptive quantitative method. The research sample consisted of 98 orphanage youths, the sampling technique used was total side technique. The data collection instruments were self-efficacy questionnaires, optimism questionnaires, and resilience questionnaires and the collected data were then analyzed using multiple regression techniques. The results of multiple regression analysis showed (R) of 0.703 (F=46.318; p<0.05), which means that self-efficacy and optimism simultaneously play a role in resilience. The coefficient of determination is 0.494, meaning that the effective contribution of self-efficacy and optimism in explaining the resilience variance is 49.4%, and from the standardized beta value it is found that self-efficacy has a greater role in resilience with a value of 0.506 than optimism of 0.278. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant role of self-efficacy and optimism for the resilience of adolescents living in the Shine Alfalah orphanage.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah usaha sadar untuk menyiapkan peserta didik melalui kegiatan bimbingan, pengajaran dan latihan bagi peranan nya dimasa yang akan datang. Dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran, aturan yang berlaku di sekolah berupa penerapan disiplin siswa yaitu disiplin dalam berpakaian, kehadiran, pengaturan waktu untuk belajar dan menjaga kebersihan lingkungan sekolah. Pada penelitian ini mengkaji terkait karakter disiplin siswa di SMA N 1 Kamang magek, dengan sampel sebanyak 100 orang, dan menggunakan instrumen angket karakter displin sebagai alat ukurnya dengan menggunakan skala likrt, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini memperoleh hasil karakter disiplin siswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentasi 57 % hal ini menunjukan bahwa karakter disiplin siswa masih perlu di tingkatkan lagi, layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling merupakan suatu layanan yang dapat diberikan untuk meningkatkan karakter disiplin belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research delves into the psychological aspects of students undertaking thesis writing, specifically focusing on how they handle emotional challenges and build resilience during this demanding academic process. The study encompasses a diverse group of 162 students from the 2018 intake at a university in Padang, selected through a simple random sampling method. To ensure a comprehensive analysis, the study employs a blend of correlation, regression, and descriptive analytics, adhering to a statistical significance threshold of 0.05. The primary data for this research was processed using the SPSS 16.0 software. This included conducting the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to assess the normality of data, a linearity test, and the Glesjer test to determine the presence of heteroscedasticity. Two key instruments guided the data collection and analysis: an emotional regulation instrument with a reliability index of 0.68, and a resilience instrument with a higher reliability index of 0.87. These instruments were crucial in measuring the respective constructs. The findings of the study are illuminating. Firstly, it was found that the students generally demonstrated effective emotional regulation skills. Secondly, a high level of resilience was observed among the student participants. Importantly, the correlation tests revealed a significant relationship between resilience and emotional regulation. This implies that the ability to regulate emotions effectively is closely linked to the development of resilience in students. Additionally, the regression analysis presented a substantial impact of emotional regulation on resilience, with a contribution strength of 51.5%. In essence, this study provides valuable insights into the emotional and psychological resilience of students during thesis writing. It highlights the critical role of emotional regulation in fostering resilience, offering a perspective that could be beneficial for academic institutions and mental health professionals in supporting students through their academic journeys.

Abstract

Dewasa ini kasus pelanggaran lalu lintas meningkat setiap tahunnya,  terutama dikalangan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan regulasi diri siswa dalam pencegahan pelanggaran lalu lintas pada remaja. Jenis Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi mengatur diri siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan di Kota Padang. Dengan sampel penelitian siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan di Kota Padang yang berjumlah 65 siswa. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan cara simple random sampling.. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengatur diri dalam pencegahan pelanggaran lalu lintas pada remaja ada pada kategori rendah yaitu 55,4%. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai informasi bagi Guru bimbingan konseling atau Konselor sebagai dasar dalam upaya memberikan bantuan pada siswa untuk meningkatkan motivasi mengatur diri remaja dalam berlalu lintas agar dapat mencegah perilaku negatif salah satunya tingginya pelanggaran lalu lintas yang kerap terjadi khususnya pada remaja.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh individu yang memiliki kepercayaan diri dan hardiness yang berbeda-beda dan kepercayaan diri dan hardiness dipengaruhi oleh berbagai aspek. Jika tidak percaya diri dan hardiness rendah maka bisa membuat individu mengalami gangguan emosional, stress dan rendah diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) kepercayaan diri siswa dalam belajar; 2) hardiness siswa dalam belajar; 3) hubungan kepercayaan diri dan hardiness siswa dalam belajar. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif deskriptif korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 272 orang siswa dengan menggunakan teknik Stratified Random Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan model Skala Likert. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan Pearson Product Moment untuk mengetahui hubungan kepercayaan diri dengan hardiness siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kepercayaan diri siswa dalam belajar secara umum berasa pada kategori sedang (47,1%); 2) Hardiness siswa dalam belajar berada pada kategori sedang (50,4%); 3) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dengan hardiness siswa dalam belajar.

Abstract

Pengambilan keputusan karier merupakan proses yang rumit dan sebagian remaja mungkin mengalami kesulitan dan hambatan membuat keputusan. Sangat penting untuk membuat keputusan karier aktif untuk masa depan selama masa-masa sekolah. Tujuan artikel ini adalah 1).Memberikan gambaran keputusan karier siswa SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang secara keseluruhan. 2).Memberikan gambaran keputusan karier siswa SMA di tinjau dari jenis kelamin. 3). Menguji hipotesis ada atau tidak perbedaan keputusan karier siswa laki–laki dan perempuan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian kuantitatif, dengan metode analisis deskriptif komparatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang kelas XI yang berjumlah 243 orang, dengan jumlah sampel 151 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan Angket/ Kuesioner Keputusan karier. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umum keputusan karier siswa kelas XI SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang sebagian besar berada pada kategori Sedang. Dan signifikansi dari hasil uji independent t-test sebesar 0,888>0,05. Dari kedua uji beda dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan keputusan karier antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Dapat disimpulkan 1).Secara umum keputusan karier siswa kelas XI SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang berada pada kategori sedang. 2).Keputusan karier siswa di tinjau dari jenis kelamin yaitu siswa perempuan lebih banyak berada dalam kategori sedang, lalu sebagian kategori tinggi dan rendah, sementara siswa laki-laki lebih banyak berada dalam kategori sedang. 3).Tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan keputusan karier siswa SMA pertiwi 1 Padang berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Hasil penelitian ini berimplikasi untuk Bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah agar membantu siswa yang masih bingung dan membimbing siswa yang sudah memiliki keputusan karier agar tercapai.
