Abstract

Muhammadiyah is considered a radical conservative movement among the Malaysian Muslim community. The education system in Malaysia is generally exclusive. The majority of Malaysian society is resistant to the Muhammadiyah sect except in certain states. This research used the theory from Servaes and Malikhao, the modernization paradigm that influenced academia from 1945 to 1965 was supported by the transition of socio-political technology and culture from advanced societies to traditional societies. Development is explained as economic growth. The main idea in the modernization perspective shows that development is interpreted as first, planned, and overlapping. The results showed ideologically, the principle of progressive Muhammadiyah in establishing Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia (UMAM) cannot be separated from the role of the 47th Muktamar Muhammadiyah in Makassar. The congress was aimed at strengthening Muhammadiyah's Islamic vision, namely progressive Islam. Muhammadiyah launched an internationalization program, especially in the field of education, one of its implementations was by developing excellent educational centers abroad. Furthermore, Malaysia is considered the first step as a representative city center that excels in education and internationalization. Muhammadiyah is a movement that cares about Muslims so that they are not degraded by the progress of other nations, so public schools were founded and eventually became universities. This research concluded that the establishment of UMAM was a place to prove that Muhammadiyah is a progressive da'wah movement and builds society towards enlightenment. UMAM presents a superior lecture system with international standards through the use of technology. However, life is still based on Islamic values.

Abstract

This research discusses the documentary film "Dirty Vote" which successfully shocked the world of politics in Indonesia. This research is qualitative research by producing descriptive data. Researchers use Zongdan Pan & Kosicki's Framing analysis to see how the reality of the issue of fraud in the 2024 Election is structured, told, written and emphasized in the construction of a documentary film. The conclusions obtained from this research can be divided into four major structures, including: (1) Syntactic Structure, the film Dirty Vote tells about democracy which cannot be interpreted as limited to the implementation of elections and tells about power being misused; (2) The structure of the script prepared in the film Dirty Vote starts from a vote survey which shows symptoms of transactional politics, political practices of retribution, violations of integrity pacts, mass mobilization efforts in GBK, cases of corruption in village funds, intimidation of village heads, misuse and increase of budget funds. significant social assistance ahead of the election, the non-neutrality of the President and State Apparatus, Bawaslu failing to supervise the election, various KPU violations and the controversial Constitutional Court decision; (3) Thematic structure, shown in the narrative where it is stated that this victory has been planned and arranged in a structured, systematic and massive manner over the last 10 years and is controlled by power holders who can move the state apparatus and budget; (4) Rhetorical structure, Dandhy as the director wants to emphasize Jokowi's expressions which are very different from the current situation, where all his children are involved in the world of politics. However, it should be remembered that this film has no influence on the results of the 2024 presidential election recapitulation by the KPU which stated that the Prabowo – Gibran pair received the most votes in Indonesia

Abstract

Untuk terus bertahan ditengah munculnya media elektronik dan online, media cetak dituntut untuk bersaing menjaga kepercayaan dan minat masyarakat agar tetap setia menggunakan media cetak. Maka diperlukan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang memiliki sikap profesionalisme dan independen, juga idealnya mampu mematuhi kode etik. Majalah GATRA sebagai salah satu media cetak yang tetap bertahan di era digital dan kerapkali wartawannya mendapat penghargaan di bidang jurnalistik menjadi alasan diangkatnya sebagai fokus penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjawab pertanyaan mengenai implementasi Prinsip Sembilan elemen jurnalisme Bill Kovach yang diterapkan oleh jurnalis Majalah Gatra untuk menciptakan jurnalis profesional dan independent. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan penjabaran yang bersifat deskriptif. Teknik penggumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi. Penelitian menggunakan teori Sembilan Elemen Jurnalisme Bill Kovach dan Rosentiel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Prinsip elemen Kovach yang dijalankan jurnalis antara lain tunduk pada kebenaran, loyalitas pada warga, independensi, menjadi pemantau kekuasaan, menyediakan forum publik untuk kritik, komentar maupun dukungan bagi warga, menjaga berita agar komprehensif dan proporsional, menggunakan hati nurani. Prinsip jurnalisme Kovach yang tidak dijalankan oleh jurnalis secara konsisten yaitu, disiplin dalam masalah verifikasi, kedua, berupaya membuat hal penting menjadi lebih menarik dan relevan.

Abstract

This writing seeks to reconstruct the concept of theology of the land (agrarian theology). It is a perspective that the issue of unequal access to agrarian resources is not only a socio-economic issue but also related to religious issues, especially the interpretation of a doctrine by key religious figures. In other words, the inequality of access to agrarian resources becomes more entrenched due to the legitimacy that claims the ‘good’ values of religion presented by these religious leaders. Therefore, Agrarian Theology aspires to become an instrument to break the stagnation that has long been dominated by both the ‘religious rulers’ and the excessive rulers of agrarian resources, resulting in endless poverty. Thus, the ‘stagnation’—if this term may be used—of the agrarian movement that has mostly operated at the socio-economic-political level can become more solid and have new ammunition. In this context, agrarian struggles are not only a social issue but also a struggle to uphold religious values.

Abstract

Jabodetabek is a megapolitan area with a high rate of migrating students from all over Indonesia to continue their higher education. The Karawang Islamic Student Family (KMIK) Jakarta is a forum for Islamic students from Karawang who are in Jabodetabek to continue to work, accommodate aspirations, and serve the Karawang community. The wide scope of KMIK Jakarta requires an effective communication pattern that makes members wherever they are, will feel bound and belonging. The purpose of this study is to determine communication patterns and communication barriers that arise in the cohesive formation of the group. This study used descriptive qualitative approach and phenomenological research method. Data collection was done by interviews, and informant selection techniques by purposive sampling. The cohesive analysis of the group in this study used the Gorupthink Theory of Irvin L. Janis. Four indicators were obtained in this study, namely complex communication, effective communication, communication that is able to build enthusiasm, and high-intensity communication. Communication barriers that occur are differences in communication patterns in each management period. The existence of cohesive groups makes KMIK Jakarta able to face communication barriers that occur with star communication patterns or to all familial channels.

Abstract

يتناول هذا البحث تقنيات الإنتاج في برنامج "إسلام إيتو إنداه"، وخصوصاً في الحلقة المعنونة بـ "سيكستان أورانج أورانج يانج مينينجلكان شولات"، التي تُبث على قناة "ترانس تي في". يعتمد البحث على مفهوم الإنتاج الذي قدمه "برانستون وستافورد"، والذي يشمل عناصر إنتاج الفيديو والصورة والصوت. يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل كيفية إنتاج عناصر الفيديو والصورة والصوت في برنامج "إسلام إيتو إنداه". وقد اعتمد المنهج المستخدم في هذا البحث على المقاربة النوعية باستخدام منهجية الدراسة الميدانية، وتم جمع البيانات من خلال الملاحظة المباشرة، وإجراء المقابلات، والتوثيق، والرجوع إلى الأدبيات ذات الصلة. وقد أظهرت نتائج البحث أن إنتاج الفيديو في البرنامج يعتمد على استخدام الضوء الرئيسي، وضوء التعبئة، والضوء الخلفي، إضافة إلى استخدام كاميرات من نوع "سوني HXC-FB80" بعدد كاميرا واحدة أو اثنتين أو ثلاث، كما تم الاستعانة بذراع تصوير (جيب جيمي) من نوع "سوني HDC-1.700" لتصوير الفيديو. أما التصوير فقد تم باستخدام اللقطات المتوسطة، واللقطات القريبة المتوسطة، واللقطات الطويلة، مع تسجيل الصوت عبر ميكروفونات مخصصة.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the Islamic perspective on public relations, the principles of public relations regulated by Islam, and the code of ethics in public relations activities according to Islamic views. This paper adopts a qualitative approach with the literature study method. Meanwhile, several cases that identify communication errors, such as those committed by PT KAI's PR by not being truthful, serve as the main benchmark for the importance of implementing Islamic values in the field of public relations. The researcher found that Islam views public relations as an important part of human life because Islamic values are not only for the hereafter but also serve as guidelines in communication and interaction in the world. The principles of public relations explained in the Quran, known as the six principles of qaul, provide guidance for Muslims to carry out public relations activities with good ethics. Additionally, the code of ethics for public relations derived from the teachings of the Quran and the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) serves as the foundation for moral and ethical public relations practices. The conclusion of this study is that the values and principles of Islam in public relations activities are believed to provide success, achievement, and blessings in these activities. This can also prevent humans from the damage and chaos that may arise from uncontrolled communication. Therefore, public relations practices based on Islamic values are expected to lead humans to safety in this world and the hereafter. Keywords:  Islam, Public relations, Al-Quran, Qaul.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) dalam upaya mengembangkan kepercayaan diri pada korban penyalahgunaan NAPZA di RBM Mandiri Cirebon, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan konselor, korban penyalahgunaan NAPZA, dan observasi partisipatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa REBT dapat menjadi pendekatan yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri korban penyalahgunaan NAPZA. Konsep-konsep utama REBT seperti identifikasi pikiran irasional, disputasi kognitif, dan pengembangan pikiran rasional, terbukti membantu korban dalam mengubah pola pikir negatif menjadi positif. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan penerapan REBT, seperti keahlian konselor, motivasi korban, dan dukungan lingkungan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya mengintegrasikan REBT dalam program rehabilitasi NAPZA untuk meningkatkan efektivitas upaya pemulihan.

Abstract

Not many western genre films are made in the film industry, because of not many ideas can be explored. The Dance With Wolves film is a western genre film and is not made as a religious film. This film also does not intend to include Islamic principles. The most interesting is that this western genre film was made with high imagination and creativity. By using the theory of genre from Branston and Stanford, it was then studied further through the concept and living rules ??in the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. The results of this study illustrated a struggle (jihad) in the elements of the story (repertoires of elements) that united and inspired feelings. Also in the verisimilitude genre theory, a statement of belief (ilmul yaqin) raised in the truth of Allah's creation. Furthermore, through the cultural context theory, it could be seen that at-tamaddun exists.

Abstract

There are several ways to empower rural communities, one of which is through tourism. The community can benefit from their expertise in managing natural resources, such as processing coffee beans into ground coffee, which will become the village's trademark. The Cikolelet Tourism Village, located in Cinangka District, Serang Regency, Banten, is expected to alleviate poverty by reducing unemployment, inequity, and job creation. Furthermore, it has the potential to benefit coffee farmers and the surrounding community. The purpose of this study is to describe the Cikolelet Village Government's contribution to the local potential-based tourism village program and to analyze the impact of the tourism village program. The qualitative approach was used in this study, with data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The research data sources are primary and secondary data sources, and the data analysis techniques are those proposed by Miles and Huberman. The study's findings indicate that the tourism village program needs to be implemented optimally. However, the tourism-supporting sector, specifically coffee production under the Cikopi brand, has achieved independence and is no longer dependent on the tourism village program. The community felt the impact of the public awareness always to protect the environment and capitalize on the local potential. Income is increasing, coffee productivity is rising, and the community can contribute adequately.
